1 Toward the Landford Academy

A handsome teen could be seen walking on the dusty dirt road in the direction of the capital of the Vorah Kingdom. The teen had short black hair with crimson undertone, his hairs were like the finest silk, his eyes had the same colour that the purest gold and his skin was like snow and soft enough to push some of the most beautiful women to cry in shame and to curse the gods at the unfairness of the world. His visage features were well defined and a little immature due to his age but could without any doubt catch the attention of a young maiden if they were too superficials.

The teen worn travel clothes, a brown long sleeves t-shirt with comfortable black trousers and a black coat and finally a pair of black boots, all his clothes were cheap and dusty due to his travel. He also wore a large backpack where were stuffed all his travel furniture, mainly food, water, and blankets and his money. His large backpack was quite slime, a sign that his furniture were quite depleted.

His visage wasn't exhausted and his expression was one of a cold indifference. His entire being had a strong aura, an aura that only peoples who known battlefield and tasted blood can own, so despite his poor and dirty clothes, no one was trying to make fun of him, and if some idiots couldn't read his aura then maybe his two katanas at his waist dissuaded them.

The road who was dusty and made of dirt progressively became a large grey stoned road as the teen became nearer and nearer of the capital, the road also became more crowded with travellers and merchants but the capital still wasn't in sight, only big green hill but the teen known that the capital was just behind one of these hills since he could see the very high mountains far away and on the maps, Jutero, the Vorah Kingdom capital, was a before the mountains. Between Jutero and the Morad Mountains was the Lake Of The End, the lake was called like this since there was only a single road who crossed the mountains, The Road Under The Mountains, a magical way who led toward the Landford Academy, one of the most prestigious magic academy of the world.

The Road Under The Mountains was not the only way to reach the academy but from Jureto, it's the fastest, get around the mountains would take months of travel. Not everyone could take the Road Under The Mountains, only the ones who had the permission granted by the academy could step on this road.

The teen had this permission, it was given to him by one of his mentors, his mentor was one of the strongest teachers when he was still at the academy so he had his ways to obtain permissions from the academy. The teen, Crest Zolan was forced by all his mentors to go to the academy to live his life and found friendships and love.

Crest was found by Emeric Braum when he was five, Emeric was the head of the Hellhound Mercenaries group, nor good nor bad, the Hellhound Mercenaries was the strongest mercenary group of the Bahrein Continent. Ten, they were only ten, ten names that could shake every kingdom of the continent. The Hellhounds was formed 500 years ago by Mosteria, Mosteria was the headmaster of the Landford Academy before she became mercenary, it was told that she was the most powerful mage of the Bahrein Continent at this moment, the reasons why she became a mercenary despite her position as headmaster of the prestigious magic academy were unknown.

Historically, The Hellhound Mercenary group never extended ten members, it was a rule made by Mosteria, "No more than ten, but each member should have the power to crush a kingdom alone" this rule had always be respected. Crest was trained by such a group for ten years before they sent him to the academy so even if Crest wasn't powerful enough to become a member of the Hellhounds after ten years, his power still could be imagined, he wasn't sent to the academy to become stronger, he was sent to experience life a normal teenager should experience.

Finally, Jeruto came to the sight of Crest, an immense city that extends itself on miles, high walls that wrap the city to protect it, high towers from official buildings and the brouhaha could already be heard by Crest even if he was still a few miles away of the city. A long line of people was formed at the base of the wall at one of the entry of the city, waiting to be checked by the guards and pay the right of entry before they could step in the capital.

With a sigh, Crest made his way toward the waiting line, crossing the few miles remaining in a short time.
