Chapter 1 - Simulation?

So this is all where it ends huh? Really? We thought we are friends since we were children and expecting to be best buds till the last of our breaths, but here we are. Here I am lying on the floor being stabbed.

I found my self standing in a void, I am surprised to have my senses back. I suddenly heard a feminine robotic voice that got me stunned.

"Hello! I'm HLN-A, a fractal memory design to be your guide!"

I may have my senses back and wanted to say something but I can't talk back. Fractal Memory? Guide?

I look around to discern where the voice came from but I did not see her.

"Don't worry and you can't see me. I'm inside of you. Just listen to me and you won't get your self killed."

She answered in a cheerful voice and what my thoughts were. So I decided to not think of anything and continue to listen to what she is about to say.

I already died so I don't know if this is a dream or not.

"Probably... I'm new at this too."

Then, she said in a low voice as if she didn't know what she is saying.

"Well as you can see, you died in your previous world but given a chance by the higher-ups and they said if you refuse, you will be stuck here in this lonely void. Alone. You don't want that right?"

So for short, I don't have any say in this. I thought there is heaven or hell, but...

Can I at least ask the details of each Island? Some names are quite scary in truth... I hope she understands.
