Chapter 3: Hero gets girlfriend (handler)

"What is it Nagumo-san?" Next day, somehow shaking off Kaori while she was healing up the hero's group, Hajime was able to bring Nakamura somewhere private.

"Nakamura-san, as I said, I have a way for you to get Amanogawa-san."

"You are saying something ridiculous like that again?"

"Yet, you still came with me." After a brief moment of silence, Nakamura looked at Hajime seriously.

"What makes you think that I will be interested in something like that?"

"You are seriously asking that now? That should have been the first question." Silence persisted a while longer, ending with a sigh.

"Ha~. Well, most of girls would be able to happy to date Amanogawa-san. However, why me?"

"Because, you are the one who would be able to handle him the best." Said Hajime with a smile that sent a chill down her back.

"Kouki acts like a hero, but in truth, he's nothing but over-spec child still living his dreams. At least, for right now. And like any children, when his dream shatters, he will throw tantrum, causing others to back away from him. But as far as I can see, you wouldn't let go after that. You will hold him tightly, whisper different dream into his head, and try to keep him all to yourself. And while personally, I don't really care about him, I need him to at least do his job as a hero, and also not be broken." As his words continued, her expression changed from furious, to puzzlement, then finally expressionless.

"It seems that up until now, I did not know Nagumo-san very well. How could I have not smelt the same scent I have from you? Actually, how were you able to hide it so well up until now?"

"It just means that I am better." Upon hearing this reply, Nakamura started to chuckle, then laugh loudly.

"Hahahaha! I really did not think that you would be like this. However, what makes you think that I will accept whatever you are thinking of?"

"Because, of this." Very smoothly, he brought out a yen-coin on a string. As she looked on in puzzlement, he started to gently swing the coin.

Kaori, upon seeing this, was feeling jealous, but could not have imagine what kind of conversation they were having.

"Then could you give me some more of those snacks. Kouki was wonderfully delicious beast. Though, I would have to admit my hips were hurting badly enough to require healing magic afterwards."

"I currently do not have anymore right now, but I could bring some more for you either tomorrow or day after."

"That would be nice. I wonder how I could repay you? Is there anyway? Perhaps, I should discipline Daisuke and his gang a little? Maybe make them go missing? It is terribly annoying to see those trashes annoying my friend."

"Well, I do not know if you were able to have good and thorough taste of the entire course while he was resisting. A meal is not just about the main course, you know."
