1 The Beginning

I wake up because the daylight shines through the window so brightly that I can't sleep anymore. Surprisingly, I don't feel so cold that I have to wear a coat like yesterday. I decide to put on a shirt and ride around Rainbow town before having breakfast and opening the library.

I think today is another peaceful day in this town. I do not know why I feel something new and surprising is going to happen here.

However, I can not guess what it is, and it makes me curious. Before I answer this question, I need to fill my stomach with some bread from the only bakery in this town and continue living my daily routine.

While I am writing some notes for people who borrow books, I hear about Jun, who left this town for ages. He comes back to spend his holiday nearly half a month after finishing his semester at the university. According to what they say about him, I think he is more than 20 years old, very curious about everything, but too self-confident and knows how to be the centre of a conversation.

I think I have no idea about this guy because I have neither met him before nor have heard any stories about him. I want to listen more. Unluckily, I have to focus on doing my tasks before the line is too crowded and everyone in that line gets angry.

Working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is why I am so tired and exhausted because of writing too much. Sometimes I have to explain some details in a chapter that it repeats many times. Sadly, they do not pay attention to them so much. I also have to face many fools that always forget when to return my books. That makes me want to use the broom to push all of them out of my place. I can't stand it. Why can't they remember the date?

After ordering the bookshelves, suddenly I realized that I had an unopened parcel that I have left with unread letters. Then, I go to my room and find it exactly where I left it in the morning. I take the scissors to cut it. What I receive are many photos that I see a naughty and curious guy.

"Is that Jun that people talk about?"

I hope to find some clues to know more about the person who sends it to me, but there is nothing more to be figured out.

After exploring all the photos in the parcel and answering every unread letter, I felt out of energy. I decided to go to the beach and watch people preparing everything necessary for the upcoming holiday. Unluckily, I have never joined in because of too much unfinished work and taking care of my old-aged teacher. On the way to the beach, I suddenly come across the bakery and hear someone talking about Jun again. When I stop at the door, I see Rosalie happily having a chit-chat with a naughty boy similar to the photos in the parcel. I feel confused because I have no idea whether I should come into the bakery to figure out who the guy is. However, I think it is unnecessary, so I ignore them and go on the way to see the process to celebrate their favourite holiday.

When I reach the beach, I see many kinds of ships that I have seen in my aged teacher's catalogue. She used to be a big fan of this holiday. Therefore, she was very disappointed because of her heart attack. After that, she could not go out without the machine helping her breathe. When she talked about it, she felt very memorable that she could see a teenage girl hand-in-hand with a guy and go into a boat they loved. They sat in there and viewed the scenery.

Now I am looking at the navy boats because I love reading books about World War II. I can read for many hours without looking at the clock. Sometimes, I pay attention to them so much that I forget to write notes about those books borrowed. Finally, I had some ideas why she was very excited about this holiday.

However, I hope to meet both the person who sends the mystery parcel and Jun.

Fortunately, I do not have to wait for the answer too long. In two days, I can take part in this festival for the first time. That is the chance to know who they are. Maybe it is the only one I can take.
