A Promise

In times of hardship and pleasure, in times of abundance or deprivation, and in times of health and illness. To always love and cherish one another, until death separates us, according to God's law, and this is my very sincere pledge of allegiance."

Marriage often brings happiness. Through love and a sense of wanting to always have. Make couples step up to a more serious level. Like the sacred promise uttered by Dominic Greyson Irving, in the presence of the invited guests, he said the promise on an altar with bluish-white shades.

Dominic wears a diamond ring with a jewel color matching Scarlet's white dress. Dominic briefly pecked Scarlet's lips gently. The two of them smiled sweetly in the face of the invited guests who cheered for their wedding.

Scarlet looked at Dominic's face, 'This man beside me, I've only known for a week, but he's the one who's been my life companion.'

Scarlet's feelings were so joyful, it couldn't wait to meet her fiancé Jack Adams. She deliberately went home early to give a surprise. Of course, this surprise will really make Jack love him even more. All the positive speculations always appeared in Scarlet's head.

"Do I have to bring you cakes too?"

Scarlet drove her car to find the nearest cake shop. She wanted tonight to be the most special night for her and Jack. It's been a long time since they hadn't spent time alone. Last time, Jack was busy and made Scarlet have to swallow the bitter desire to spend time with Jack.

On the contrary, when Scarlet was busy, it was Jack who had to wait for Scarlet. Scarlet thought, after marrying Jack, she no longer needs to bother taking care of her frozen food company. It could be, Jack will manage it. Scarlett trusted Jack completely. As she considered Jack a perfect man who had no flaws. If anything, those flaws would be masked by Scarlett's love for Jack.

Arriving at a pastry shop, Scarlett parked her car well. Entered that store and walked through every cake that was beautifully displayed in the display case. 

Scarlet finally chose a black forest cake with a sprinkle of chocochips on it. She felt that this cake was perfect enough for Jack. Scarlet left when she made the payment, and drove the car to Jack's apartment.

Scarlet could imagine how surprised Jack's face was, when Jack knew Scarlet gave a surprise like this. Unconsciously a knotted smile rose at every corner of Scarlet's lips. In fact, Scarlet very proudly glanced at some of the gifts that would later be given to Jack.

Making Jack comfortable was a priority Scarlet did. She doesn't care whether this thing is too much or not. What is clear is that as long as it makes Jack happy she will be willing to do anything for Jack.

Upon arriving at Jack's apartment, Scarlet parks her car in the garage. She brought a box of cakes and a parcel containing clothes of a certain brand. The bespectacled woman in a gray shirt suit seemed to smile when she arrived at her fiancé's apartment. Stepped her feet cheerfully to quickly come to the floor of Jack's apartment. In the lobby, she entered the elevator and pressed the number key three on. Hummed with an occasional glance at the things he was carrying.

"I can't wait to see you, Jack."

Those lips don't get tired of carving a charming smile, let people think of it like crazy. It wouldn't make her enthusiasm for meeting Jack fade. The moment the elevator door opened, Scarlet was immediately confronted with Jack's apartment door. But, uncharacteristically. a man in a black suit was restlessly between Jack's apartment doors. 

"Excuse me, sir. Can you get out of the way of this door? I want to go inside."

The man immediately turned his head, staring fiercely at Scarlett as if to kill, "Oh, so you are a friend of the occupants of this apartment?" The voice seemed to be intimidating. Scarlett felt a gripping aura emanating from the man's two nets.

"Sorry, sir. I am the fiancée of the owner of this apartment."

Scarlett explained, trying not to be nervous in front of a man who exudes an aura of anger. It was obvious that her jaw seemed to be hardened, her teeth seemed to grit to restrain emotions. Scarlett waved her hand, she felt that the man in front of her had blocked the entrance. 

"Actually, what's your business here?"

Scarlett tried to figure out the reason this man in front of her was blocking her footsteps. A man's face does look handsome and looks so authoritative. But, is it funny if she is in someone else's apartment at times like this?

If he wanted to steal, his appearance didn't even reveal that he was a thief. In fact, the things worn are not so cheap. So who exactly is this strange guy? All kinds of speculations appeared in Scarlet's mind. She felt intimidated by the gaze of this man in front of her.

"Tch... you don't even know that your fiancée and my future wife are playing crazy in there." He held back his anger, he clenched his hands firmly as if to throw a fist. 

Scarlett couldn't believe it, she took for granted the man who had been so early in front of her. If the man was a woman it might have been from earlier Scarlet slapped him on the cheek. How dare he accuse his fiancée of such disgusting acts. Let alone with other people, even when he was with scarlet, Jack never asked him for more. Their relationship was healthy, there were no quarrels or disagreements. Jack always understood Scarlett well, always accepting the shortcomings Scarlett had.And Jack was never rude to Scarlet either. So what was the reason for Jack's affair?

"What nonsense is this, sir. If you want to make trouble better go. This place is not suitable for people like you."

"Nonsense? Ck... you glorify a stupid human being like your fiancée too much." Dominic Greyson Irving, the hard-faced man grinned. She underestimated the woman in front of him.

One slap landed on Dominic's left cheek, making him wince in pain at Scarlet's rough treatment. The man stared fiercely with his deep black eyes. If Dominic does not have the principle of not hurting women, then it is certain that Scarlett will be beaten to death. 

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!"

Dominic's voice dominated the room, luckily the hallway of the apartment was soundproofed. So that Dominic's voice does not disturb the residents of this apartment. 

"Stupid woman! If you don't believe me, just open the door of this apartment, and get ready to cry!" snapped Dominic as if to be a boomerang for Scarlett. On the other side She wanted to open the door of that apartment. However, she was afraid that Dominic's words had some truth. Scarlett thought for a long time, she also opened the door by pressing a few numbers that were the keys to Jack's apartment.
