2 The Red Bird

'While, he was thinking about this there was strange movement within the LESVIP camp...because a strong gust of wind came and within it a strange red bird similar in size to a humming bird flied with the wind towards a blue flower.

...

'If it's a communication device or rune or glyph or whatever then does that mean that I can also communicate with those creature even while being in this form of inexistence?' While Laplace was thinking about this a red bird similar in shape to a hummingbird flew up from a blue flower.

The bird started to circle around the battlefield and after circling around for a few times it perched on top of a dead HALTEAR mercenaries head,a strange greenish glint flashed in its eyes before all of its feathers unnaturally stood up and the bird started to shake.

Then there was a strange red flash of a rune which lasted for less than a second and the bird melted into the mercenaries head.

An hour or two later later the mercenary who was supposed to be dead strangely stood up.

[LESVIP ARMY CAMP]

Hardening his resolve Commander Gordon decided to release the RADSTAINS.Gordon called in the guards and said:

'Send in Marvin.'

'Yes' replied the guards and quickly called Marvin.Marvin was coincidentally right in front of the camp saving the guards the trouble of finding him. He was a tall,buff man with a cyan coloured bow on his back and about 50 arrows in his quiver. On,top of that he had two curved daggers on his waist. He was wearing light armor because it was summer right now and in mountain or hill battles heavy armour was rarely seen or used because of its impracticality.

As soon as Marvin stepped in Commander Gordon asked how many RADSTAINS were still alive.

'Five the other two starved to death.'

The army itself was lacking rations there was no way they were going to feed those slaves.

'How long will these two last?' Asked Gordon.

'Sigh...the other five RADSTAINS ate them before we even knew about it. That's how those five survived.'

'Well....what can we expect from those mindless beasts. Release and direct them towards the enemy when it's night time. We'll take them by surprise. On top of that, reduce our own casualties as much as possible when releasing them.' Said Gordon. The reason he was telling Marvin to reduce as much casualties as possible was because as soon the RADSTAINS were released they would start to rampage.

Marvin nodded and said:' As you wish,my lord.'

Then he turned around to walk out of the camp. Even though it was the main camp there weren't a lot of people here right now because all of them were split into small teams and scattered throughout the mountain which were a lot more effective and efficient in mountains and hills.

Marvin looked up at the sky and it was noontime. So, he decided to go check out the RADSTAINS since there was nothing that he needed to do. The reason be was taking care of these slaves was because he had been doing it for years and was quite experienced in this field.

Even though there was no evidence that this rune was a communication rune but there was nothing else he could up here floating in the sky to pass time. So, Laplace was grasping at straws because the war was going to end sooner or later and when that happens he's fucked.

First, he studied the communication rune for a while making sure he had a general idea of what it looked like.

After that, he decided to split a small part of his body. As soon as the thought came to his mond a bluish transparent blob of light was separated from his body but strangely he had a sense of connection with it. Thinking about this strange phenomenon an incredible idea came his mind.

'Can I send this blob down to the ground..?!'

As soon as the thought came to his Laplace decided to act on it and urged it to float down towards the ground.

The blob slowly started to slowly float down like a feather but the farther it went down the more translucent it became and he started to sense his connection to it weakening until the connection completely got cut off and under Laplace's desperate gaze it dissipated.

'Fuck every single god up there! Fuck every single person on this goddamn planet!...'

After swearing for a while Laplace calmed down and decided to focus on the communication rune. He needed to get in contact with these people as soon as possible because they've displayed the ability to manipulate and control this weird runic energy which Laplace was also a part of.

Laplace once again separated a blob of 'energy' but this time he decided to manipulate it and change it into that runic formation which he assumed was a communication rune.

At first it was pretty hard and failed pretty miserably but after a few tries he finally made the main rune which was present above the LESVIP camp but there was one thing which he didn't consider it was the drain of soul energy.

His own consumption was messed up in itself but the problem was that this rune he had constructed was draining energy from him as well. Although it was miniscule but it was still what he was surviving on.

'Wait...how did the LESVIP's solve it?' Thought Laplace.

As soon as he looked towards that rune he saw a thin string which bluish and transparent extending towards the commanders head or rather to be more accurate it enveloped his helmet.

'Wait...why is this guy still wearing his helmet?...but where's the energy source.'
