3 Chapter 2 (Smirk)

Irritated, I slowly opened my eyes as I heard the familiar annoying sound of the alarm from my phone. I grabbed my phone and immediately shut that thing off.

I can now sleep in peace...

Maya maya pa ay tumunog nanamang muli ito. Damn it!  Sa irita ko ay bumangon ako at pinatay agad itong muli. After turning it off, I threw my phone, let it fly and land somewhere in my room. I comfortably laid again back on my bed and shut my eyes. Finally...

Right when I was about to get my sleep, may kung anong kakaibang creature ang bigla nalang pumasok sa aking room.

"SACHIIII!!!" walang hiyang sigaw ni ate Sheree mula sa pinto.

Gosh.... Naman oh!  I just wanted a peaceful sleep, for Pete's sake. I ignored the dog and covered my face with the comforter.

"Come on sis, Get up!" singhal niyang muli sa akin habang pilit na tinatanggal ang pagkakabalot ng comforter sa akin habang ako naman ay pilit  hinihigpitan ang pagkakahawak dito.

Maya maya pa, I just found the two of us na naghihilaan at nag aagawan sa comforter.

"Five more minutes please..." I begged while she's still continuously grabbing the comforter away from me.

Para akong sinakluban ng langit at lupa nang tuluyan niya nang naagaw ang comforter mula sa akin.

"Hoy babae, May I just remind you na may test kayo ngayon."  she told me while raising her eyebrows. Ha? Test?

I slowly opened my eyes at unti unting bumangon and damn! Just damn!

"Demmit! My head hurts!" I exclaimed while massaging my head.

"Inom pa..."  ngising bulong ng aso.

Nilingon ko ito and I could see her grinning, still on her pajamas.

Hindi ko na pinansin ang pananakit ng aking ulo at agad nang pumasok sa banyo para maligo. After taking a shower, nagtungo ako sa aking walk-in closet to wear my uniform at agad nang nagtungo sa dining room.

"Ayan na ang mahal na prinsesa." narinig kong sabi ni kuya Sylver habang prenteng nakaupo at inaantay ang breakfast.

Agad akong nagtungo sa dining table at inabangan ang napakasarap na inihandang breakfast ni nanay.

Maya-maya pa ay inihanda na ni nanay Melda ang coffee and quesadilla for breakfast.

Nanay Melda often prepares our meals. Aside from she's our nanny when we were kids, she's also our cook and her dishes are just so delicious.

I was about to eat my quesadilla when someone grabbed it. Akala ko si ate Sheree iyon pala ay ang mokong si Felix.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I glared at him irritated. I could hear some loud noises from the living room. From those noises, I could tell na kasama niya rin ang kampon niya. Mas lalo lang nilang pinasasakit ang ulo ko.

"Pasensya ka na ha, god bless" the thick faced Felix said while munching on my quesadilla. Kadiri naman may tumalsik pa. Bahagya kong ipinahid sa uniform niya yung tumalsik na pagkain mula sa kaniyang bunganga. Kumuha nalang ulit ako ng bago at nagsalin ng coffee.

"Makikikain po!" I glanced at Avey na kumukuha na agad ng pagkain. Damn this people, really?

Tinapik ni kuya Sylver ang kamay ni Avey at sumigaw "Patawad!"

"Ang ingay naman!" sigaw ni Guss na nagtungo sa dining table at doon umupo habang pasimpleng kumukuha ng pagkain. Bago pa man niya iyon maitakbo ay piningot na siya ni ate Sheree. "Kunwari ka pa ha" Nakababa na pala siya at nakabihis na rin. Buti naman.

"Dito na kami kakain at sabay sabay na tayong pumasok" Edward said seated at the corner with glasses on and a book on his right hand habang yung isa ay nakahawak sa mug.

"Sige po Lolo" I teased him and I heard my cousins laugh.

"Shut up, nerd" Edward retorted. Parang siya hindi ah.

"Oh tama na muna ang tawanan. Kain muna at baka ma-late na kayo." Ito namang si nanay Melda parang hindi sanay sa ingay ng mga iyan.

"Opo, nay" sagot namin at kumain na rin.

Natigil ako ng sandali nang may naalala. Oo nga pala, test namin mamaya. I immediately grabbed my math book at started refreshing what I reviewed last night.

Naramdaman kong tumabi sakin sina Rhea at Rhiann para maki-review din. Tsk wala ba silang libro? Mga asungot. Imbis na magreklamo ay nanahimik nalang ako. Mahirap na at baka tarayan lang ako ng dalawa.

"Nga pala, may game kami mamaya after class. Nood kayo ah tapos kain tayo pagtapos" pag-aya samin ni Guss. Akala mo naman talaga magaling maglaro. Puro pagpapasikat lang naman ang gagawin.

"Sure, para naman makita namin ulit kung paano kayo matalo." sabi ng katabi kong si Rhea. "That would be fun." her twin added.

Nakagawian na naming magpipinsan na umattend ng game ng mga mokong. Well, that's what cousins are for, right? Para na rin may moral support sila. But what we're really after for ay yung pagkain after ng game nila. Syempre sila ang manlilibre. Anong akala nila? Libre lang yung pagcheer namin? As if.

"Wait, so does that mean..." Here goes the girlfriend ng bayan, Avery Faye, Back at it again, I know what this girl is thinking. Magkapatid nga talaga sila ni Felix.

"Makikita namin yung bagong player niyo?" With hopeful eyes, ate Sheree asked. Gosh, dumagdag pa 'tong isa. Can't they take men out of their system? Wala naman silang mapapala riyan. That's proven and tested. Just like my "not so serious" past relationships na aside from that "temporary feeling", I don't have enough time for them.

"Yep, this is his first game, by the way." Oh akalain mo nga naman. Di pa naglalaro sikat na. Pag ba talaga gwapo, pinagkakaguluhan? He's obviously Avey's and ate Sheree's type. That means that guy's fine. But still, I'm not interested. Silang dalawa lang naman ang laging interesado pag dating sa mga ganyan.

After eating breakfast ay sumabay na ako kila kuya Sylver at ate Sheree para pumasok. Sina Avey, Felix, at Guss ang magkasabay habang yung kambal naman at si Edward.

Once we get to the parking lot ay sabay-sabay na kaming bumaba mula sa sasakyan. Agad namang dumako ang paningin ng mga naroroong estudyante sa amin. Geez what's up with those stares? Hindi na ba sila nasanay sa pagmumukha ng mga lalaking iyan?

"Sachi, hatid ko na kayo sa room niyo." Pasimpleng sambit ni Kuya Sylver. Ha! Kunwari pa ang loko.

"I suppose, you just want to flirt with those girl classmates namin na patay na patay sa'yo" I smirked when I saw his face na parang pinagsukluban ng langit at lupa.

"I couldn't agree more, Sachi. Kaya Sylvester Cian, please lang huwag na." Rhea seconded.

Paano ba naman kasi, ginagawa akong mensahera ng mga kaklase kong nagpauto sa kaniya. Tsh! Di man lang inisip na nakakaabala na siya.

Kuya Sylver looked at us dramatically and with full of betrayal. "Eto naman, nagmamagandang loob lang naman ako dito eh..."

"Pwes, wala kang maloloko dito!" ani Rhiann habang ang kawawang Sylver naman ay sumama na sa boys at kay ate Sheree. "Okay sige, ganyan naman kayo."

"Luh, sadboi yan?" Avey teased and laughed a bit.

Humiwalay na kaming apat sa kanila at tumungo na sa room. Habang naglalakad ako sa hallway ay may iilang mga kakilalang bumabati sa amin. Medyo malaki ang circle of friends namin since we're really open to everyone. It's not hard to make friends here since everyone's chill and friendly. But I only trust my cousins and sila ang madalas kong kasama. Magmula ata nung pinagsama-sama kami ng school ng aming mga magulang noong elementary ay hindi na kami naghiwa-hiwalay pa.

"Hi, Sachi! Saw your live last night. That was quite a show" rinig kong sabi ng kaklase namin. "Uh, yeah. Next time we'll hang out baka we'll invite other friends over." I chatted with Anna a bit habang ang mga bruha naman ay tila nangangampanya kulang nalang mag megaphone sila.

"Oh my gosshh.. May test din kayo kay Ma'am Corazon diba? Kinakabahan ako" I heard Rhea talking to some of our friends.

Naramdaman kong kumapit sa aking braso si Avey "Sachi, baby ikaw na bahala sa amin ah. Pweaasee" She pleaded while pouting her lips and giving me puppy eyes. I admit, kahit na bruha 'yang mga 'yan I can't deny they're pretty. Avey's smoking hot. She can charm anyone out there but not me.

"Mag-aral ka.. and stop that, hindi ka cute." sinamaan lang ako nito ng tingin at padabog na inilayo ang aking braso.

"Ge, ganyan naman kayo." Kadiri, nahawa na nga kay Felix.

Nang matanaw na namin ang room, we went in and sat on our respective seats. Alphabetically arranged naman so magkakatabi lang kami ng mga 'to. I kinda dislike that idea since they can copy my answers any time.

Habang wala pa ang aming teacher ay inilabas ko muna ang libro at binasa iyon. Damn it, bakit hindi pa rin nawawala ang hilo ko? It feels like every formula I'm reading is spinning. I took off my potter glasses and massaged the bridge of my nose when I heard Rhiann spoke beside me,

"Halika, sampalin kita para magising ka. Para na rin mawala 'yang sakit sa ulo mo, you want?" I glared at her then she laughed heartily.

"Sampalin din kaya kita para mawala 'yang ulo mo, you want?" I retorted.

Tumingin na lang muna ako sa bintana and saw the four idiots practicing on the court. It was easy to spot them since their wearing a maroon jersey with a "De Asis" surname at the back of it. I assume na tuwang tuwa nanaman ang mga loko dahil excused sila buong araw.

I was about to turn my head away from them when I noticed an unfamiliar guy on the court looking at me. He's also wearing a jersey gaya ng mga pinsan ko. Uh, is he staring? Tinignan ko rin siya, I took the opportunity to stare at his eyes. They were intense, he got the eyes of dove feathers, with a hue intensely grey that it could have been pencil drawn. He got some long lashes, thick and dark eyebrows as dark as those few fringe of his hair slightly reaching his brows and eyes. His pointed nose is arched very well, and that sharp jaw line that made him look manly and intimidating could pierce me anytime. Damn, his face was perfectly sculpted. I've never seen a face as perfect as his.

My eyes immediately went through his lips, then I noticed a smirk plastered on it. There was a smug look on his face. He was giving me an "Are you checking me out?" look.

My parted lips turned into a grim line. Ang kapal naman ng mukha ne'to. I raised my brow at him. For all I know, he was the first one to stare at me. Feelingero ang gago. It doesn't mean na if I find him good-looking ay tutulad na rin ako sa mga babaeng patay na patay sa kaniya. Like those girls na malapit sa bleachers na halatang nagpapapansin sa kaniya. My blood started to boil at that thought and I'm starting to hate this guy. Ayaw ko sa apog niya. Tsh... What a turn off, Mister.

"Sachi! Sachi Hey!" Agad kong nilingon si Rhiann.

"Kanina ka pa namin tinatawag, nandyan na si ma'am oh. Tulala ka" her twin said.

Kumunot ang aking noo nang luminga ako at mapansing wala naman si ma'am sa room. "Hala siya, tulala nga. Tangek lumabas lang ng saglit si ma'am. Kukunin yung test paper sa faculty." Rhea rolled her eyes nang mapansin iyon. I just stayed silent then I noticed Avey lowkey smirking at me.

Lumapit sa akin ang bruha then she sat on my lap. May upuan naman siya ah ang landi talaga. She clung her arms unto my neck and whispered "Baby, I saw you looking at that guy. He's your type, isn't he?"

"Wh-- what?? Huh? What are you talking about, Avey?" maang-maangan kong sagot kahit sa aking kaloob-looban ay medyo kinakabahan ako. Baka mamaya ay asarin nanaman ako ne'to eh hindi ko naman gusto 'yong lalaki. Mas lalo namang lumawak ang ngisi ng gaga.

"And stop calling me baby, Naubos na ba ang mga baby mo at ako nalang ang tinatawag mong baby, huh?" iritado kong sambit para na rin tumigil siya.

"I'm just trying to be a sweet cousin here, and I know what my baby wants. You want that guy. Come on, Sachi, stop acting like you don't. Bihira ka lang tumitig ng ganon. Besides, he was the hot guy that me and ate Sheree was talking about.."  oh? So it was him. No wonder but still, I don't like him. I don't like his aura.

"It doesn't mean na tinitigan ko siya ay gusto ko siya, and uh.. he-- he's not even g--good-looking...You get my point? Like I'm staring at you right now, does that mean I like you?" pamimilosopo ko sa kaniya then I heard her laughed sweetly. Aakalain mong hindi siya delikado with that laugh and that disguised innocent smile.

She put on my glasses then said "Here, I already put your glasses on for you. Kaya pala he's not good-looking para sa'yo dahil nakalimutan mong magsalamin." then she laughed heartily.

I just ignored her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I placed my forehead on her shoulder then shut my eyes for a second. That guy's smug look can't get off my mind. It's just pissing me off more. We still have a test and his stupid face just keeps on showing up.

"It's amusing to see you problematic over a guy, baby." Tanginaka Avey. Can't she shut up?

"Pag ikaw talaga nilaglag ko dito sa upuan..."

I immediately get off my seat right after I finished the test then went to Mrs. Corazon to submit my test paper.

"Just as I expected. Keep up Shanaya." I smiled at her as a response at lumabas na ng room to wait for my cousins. Well, I was the first one to finish the test. I find it easy to answer and I'm sure the same goes with my cousins also. After a minute ay lumabas na rin sina Avey at ang kambal.

"Sabay-sabay kayo ah... Nagkopyahan kayo no?"

Tinaasan ako ng kilay ng mataray na si Rhea at sinabing "Luh, hindi ah. The test was just too easy. No need to copy."

Bumaling sa akin si Rhiann "Nga pala, sabi ni Ma'am, pagkatapos daw ng break natin ay bumalik tayo sa room para magcheck at iannounce ang scores." aniya. Tumango ako bilang pagtugon.

Naramdaman ko ang paglapit sa akin ni Avey. Gosh, here she goes again. Wala talagang ibang alam ang babaeng ito kundi mameste sa buhay ko. "Hey there Shanaya Chivelle, what's up with that look, huh? Galit na galit? Fine, I won't bring that up anymore." aniya at pinitik pa ang aking noo. She clung her arms unto mine like what she always do. Argh! This girl's annoying.

Habang papunta kaming apat sa room ni ate Sheree, I randomly grabbed a book out of my bag and read. It's a habit that I'm used to.

"You know what Sachi, you look hot with those glasses on while reading. Just look at those men staring at you, wishing they were in my place right now." the clinging koala said while laughing a bit.

"Hmm..your lucky then" I carried on then the four of us laugh.

"I didn't know na may kakapalan din pala 'yang mukha mo." sambit ni Rhea at kumapit din sa akin. Sinamaan naman ito ng tingin ni Avey at tinapik ang kamay ni Rhea.

Nasa floor na kami ng grade 12 ngayon. Pansin ko ang paglingon ng mga estudyante bawat room. Hanggang sa makaabot na kami sa room ni ate Sheree.

"Giiiiirlsss!!" aniya. Napalingon din sa aming gawi ang kaniyang mga kaklase at nakarinig ng ilang mga panunukso.

"Avey, balikan mo na raw siya!" sigaw ng lalaki. Natawa kaming apat ng bahagya.

"Pa mine nung kambal! Ayos, buy 1 take 1 oh! Isa sa akin tapos isa sa'yo, pare" Mas lalo lang kaming natawa and the twins were amused.

May lalaking sumilip sa bintana at pumangalumbaba. "Hi, Sachi. Are you into science?" he asked. Naibaba ko ang aking binabasa.

"Yeah, paano mo naman nasabi?" I asked him and furrowed my brows. The three are also anticipating. Paniguradong may banat din 'to.

"Because I lab you so much!" he loudly replied habang nakahawak pa sa kaniyang dibdib. Humagalpak ang tatlo sa kakornihan niya.

My lips slightly curved upward. "That was a good one. " I said to him while chuckling a bit.

I saw ate Sheree papunta sa'min. Piningot nito yung guy sa bintana. "Tigilan niyo na nga yan!" singhal niya sa kaniyang mga kaklase at lumabas para sumama na saming magbreak.

"Sylver texted me, sabi niya nandun sila sa canteen kasama yung iba nilang ka-teammates" aniya.

"Let's join them then.." rinig kong sambit ni Avey na may halong pang-aasar. She winked at me and I gave her a death glare.

"He's not my type." mariin kong bulong sa kaniya.

"If he's not your type then it's not an issue for us to join them. " she whispered back at me while smirking.

Huh? I never said it was an issue tho. Tsh!

Pagpasok pa lamang namin ng canteen ay bunganga na ni Felix ang sumalubong sa'min.

"Here! I saved your seats!" he shouted and geez, he's even standing at the top of the table. Some students are looking at him. Not because of his noisiness tho. They're already used to that. It's because, obviously, these people are like foolishly seeing him like a god. Bakit ba ang daming nagpapaloko riyan?

I noticed some of his teammates at halos naman ng naroon ay aming kakilala. We chatted with them for a bit at kinamusta ang kanilang practice.

Umupo na rin kami sa table at pumila na rin sina Edward at Guss para bumili ng pizza. These guys don't know how to eat healthy, huh?

Ipinakilala sa'min ni kuya Sylver ang ilan sa mga bago nilang ka-teammates.

"Nga pala, this is Vincent Leonel Monforte, kapatid ni Gavreel." it was that guy. My brows furrowed. I just can't contain myself. My system already hates him.

"Levi" he introduced himself at nakipagkamay sa girls. Todo naman ang landi ni ate Sheree at Avey.

Nang umabot na siya sa akin, I noticed how his face changed. From being stoic, his expression changed into smug and I saw him smirked lowkey.

What the fuck is he smirking at?! Fuck you!

Despite of his bad impression, nakipagkamay pa rin ako sa kaniya. When I felt his warm palm on mine, bahagya akong natigil. We stared at each other for long, then I heard Rhea on the side.

"Ehem.. ehem.. I'm a bit thirsty, sorry."

Agad kaming napabitaw sa isa't-isa. I immediately looked away from him. I don't know what happened pero para akong biglang nanghina.

Napansin ko ang titig sa akin ng apat. Avey's smirking, the twins both have an amused expression and a questioning look on their faces, while ate Sheree's raising her eyebrow.

"What?" I asked them innocently.

"Sabi ko na eh may kakaiba." Rhiann whispered yet enough for me to hear.

To escape their looks, I grabbed a book and read. I heard Avey chuckled beside me.

"Yeah right, that's what you always do." aniya

"Shut up" I retorted.

Buti nalang at dumating na rin ang pagkain. We started to dig in while chatting. Nanahimik na lamang ako at hinayaan silang mag-usap. Pansin ko lang rin na medyo tahimik si Levi. Kapag tatanungin siya ay tsaka lamang ito nagsasalita. Yeah, like I care

Dumako ang aking tingin sa kaniyang braso. I gulped. For sure he's working out. His built is almost the same with kuya Sylver. Kuya's just bulkier a bit. But for sure he got a sexy body underneath that jersey. I took the glass of water on the table and drank on it.

"Baby, 'yang mata mo..." I immediately looked away from him. I turned my head to Avey and raised a brow.

"Hm?" pagmamaang-maangan ko.

"Sis, masyado kang halata" ate Sheree commented.

What? Am I that obvious?.. uh wait, I'm not doing anything so why should I be guilty? I get it. His body is good. But he's not hot nor attractive. I'm not even interested on him. I don't even like him. Yes.. yes.. he is mayabang and that's a turn off. I hate dealing with guys like him. And if that's the case, I may therefore conclude that nothing's suspicious with me. No issue, no big deal. Right. I'm always right. Nothing to worry..... but wait, if my conclusion is true, then what the fuck are these people teasing me for? I've never arrived into a wrong conclusion sa buong buhay ko. Mapa-thesis man 'yan o research....Geez! Why am I even thinking about it? Whatever their speculations are, I know myself that it's not true. So self please, don't think about it anymore. Right.

I was about to eat my pizza peacefully nang maalala ko ang kaniyang mga braso. Damn it! Can't help it! Napahampas nalang ako sa table. Bahagyang napatalon sa gulat ang iba. The girls heartily laugh while the boys are schocked and obviously confused.

"Hoy Sachi! Kung hindi masarap yung pizza huwag kang magdabog at doon ka sa kanila magreklamo." Nakakunot-noong sambit ni Felix na mas lalong ikinatawa ng mga bruha.

"Gosh, this is so funny." halos maubo-ubong sabi ni Avey habang humahagalpak.

With my stoic face on, I stood up from my seat. "Una na 'ko" I emphatically said in monotone. I took my bag and went to the exit.

"Hey! Wait!" Rinig ko kay ate Sheree kasama ang tatlo at ramdam ko ang kanilang pagsunod sa akin.

"You just saw him for like a day, but it seems like iba talaga ang epekto sa'yo ni Levi, huh?" Sambit ni Avey akmang nakalapit sila sa akin.

I glanced at the back and I saw him looking at me with that familiar smirk on his face. I saw him mouthed "stalker".

Gago? The nerve of that guy. I was just looking at him and he's calling me a stalker? Gago ba siya? How could he jump into conclusion without even knowing what I was thinking... uh what was I thinking nga ba?...tsh! Whatever!

I let him and just rolled my eyes.

Fuck you, Mister.
