1 Enter Arcane Warrior!

Somewhere, in the outskirts of the Empire, a hooded man can be seen writing a simple rune on the floor using a chalk. With a grim smile on his face he uttered,

"Gaia, lend me your power."

The rune shot a beam that illuminated the night sky. It lasted for a few seconds before finally fading into darkness. The rune lost its glow and faded into the ground. The hooded man started to run as soon as he heard the sounds of siren wailing in the distance.

"The Tectonic Mage was last seen on 8th Division, Sir!"

A man in military uniform reports with a firm and snappy salute. Another man in a military uniform decorated with three golden suns on his shoulder, lush green colored eyes, and fair complexion grit his teeth and yelled,

"All men are on 'Kill on Sight' status on the Tectonic Mage!"

All men in the room stood in attention and salutes,

"Yes, Sir!"

A blue-eyed man in military uniform, this time decorated with one golden sun on his shoulder said,

"This time our prey might slip away again, you are not going to let that happen won't you? Colonel Leo."

The man in military uniform with three suns on his shoulder replied,

"We have nothing to worry about Major Bolo. We have the Arcane Warrior with us. We don't have to step into the battlefield again."

Bolo smiled and sighed,

"We are getting old, Sir. Perhaps I should sign for leave after we catch this outlaw. Even a man like me deserves a vacation you know."

Leo smiled back to Bolo. He turned to his window and with blissful eyes he said,

" Yeah... I guess I should also take a break once we get this over with."

Meanwhile on the 8th division of the Empire. A hooded man is being chased by military personnel. The hooded man scornfully frowned and waved his hand in front of him. His palms glowed and a circle with lots of symbols and runic figures appeared in mid air. The ground shook violently, leaving cracks and fissures on its wake. Lava started to flow out of the cracks and fissures. The military personnel chasing the hooded man were stopped on their tracks but as soon as the ground stopped shaking, they continued to give chase. They were once again stopped however, due to the lava which flooded the dark alley. The hooded man smiled and as he was about to run away once again, he was stopped by a young man wearing plain brown cape and said,

"Give yourself up Tectonic Mage. We have you cornered now."

The Tectonic Mage frowned and removed his hood revealing his scarred bald head. He glared at the young man with piercing blue eyes and said,

"Get out of my way, boy. Before you get hurt."

The young man sighed, dropped his cape and put his arms on level with his shoulders. In a circular motion he waved his arms. A glowing circle riddled with runes and symbols appeared in mid air. From the circle, the young man pulled out a blue colored semi-transparent sword. The Tectonic Mage stared at the young man intently, his blue eyes widens as he says,

"Golden eyes, brown hair, scar on left arm, the... No it can't be, ARCANE WARRIOR!"

The Tectonic Mage laughed hysterically. He gripped his fists and stomped his right foot forward, causing the ground to shake and dozens of circle with runes and symbols appeared in midair. The circles then started to spit out lava and sharp obsidian in great speed all targeted towards the Arcane Warrior. The Arcane Warrior puts his left hand in front of him, then circles of runes and symbols appeared in front of him forming a barrier, blocking all projectiles created by the Tectonic Mage. The Arcane warrior points his ethereal sword towards the Tectonic Mage and said,

"My turn."

The Tectonic Mage smiled and with a dry laugh he replied,

"You really are a brat Arcane Warrior. You still know nothing about 'Magic' and you dare take on the name of 'Arcane'?"

"I'm not a brat!"

The Arcane Warrior angrily charged towards the Tectonic Mage. Then the ground shook violently, this time stronger than ever, stopping the Arcane Warrior's charge. Structures and buildings started to collapse, cars swayed in different directions, the roads started to crack, and people lost their footing due to the force of the earthquake. Meanwhile, the room from which Colonel Leo and Major Bolo was in is starting to collapse. With a wave of Leo's hand, a barrier appeared and shielded both him and Bolo from falling debris. With a scorned face Leo furiously said,

"That damned idiot mage! Just what are you trying to achieve? MARCO!!!"

Grounds started to shear and tear. The elevation of the ground started to change erratically. Suddenly the rune from an alley started to glow. With it lots of runic symbols started to appear in different parts of the Empire forming a circle that encompasses the whole Empire and the center was none other than the Emperor's Throne. Fissures and geysers started to burst out of the ground. Lava and pyroclastic materials were thrown everywhere. The Tectonic Mage turned to the Arcane Warrior and said,

"This is arcane art! Years of preparation and patience shall bear fruit! Listen, boy. This Empire shall fall. With it, corruption shall too. I will destroy the Empire and rebuild a utopia! Their evil actions must be stopped. Therefore I sha..."

The Tectonic Mage was cut short when an arrow stabbed his right shoulder. The Arcane Warrior put down his ethereal bow and said,

"I really don't care about your stupid ideals and motives. All I know is that you have a huge bounty on your head. I really don't want to soil my hands by killing you, that's why I asked you to surrender."

The Tectonic Mage gripped his fist and punched a building, causing it to shear and tear. With an angry look on his eyes he asked,

"You don't even know what the Empire is trying to do, do you?"

The Arcane Warrior pulled another ethereal arrow and aimed it towards the Tectonic Mage and said,

"I know there are corrupt officials currently sitting their ass on their comfortable chair while we struggle to survive."

The Arcane Mage let the arrow lose but missed the Tectonic Mage. The Tectonic Mage replied,

"Do you know how Magic works? You cannot create something out of nothing, there must be a pre-existing material before something can be created or altered. Magic works like that. We use Mana in order to perform magic. We can conjure something by utilizing the energy of mana and recreating the information needed for magic to work."

With a bored look on the Arcane Warrior's face said,

"Yeah yeah whatever. I already know that. You talk too much old man."

The Tectonic Mage angrily replied,

"So you won't listen to me, boy? Fine, then I shall take this Empire down to hell with you!"

The Tectonic Mage put his hands in mid air and formed a grasping figure. His fingertips glowed and the air started to crack. The Tectonic Mage pulled his grasp towards the ground and the air shattered, causing everything to be distorted. The night sky were riddled with cracks and shears. As the Tectonic Mage touched the ground, the night sky turned crimson red and on it, blazing ball of flame started to appear. It gets bigger and bigger as time pass by. The Arcane Warrior looks up and with surprise in his eyes he said,

"No way, that's a Meteor!"

Meanwhile somewhere in 3rd Division, a woman with red eyes and pale white skin stood in one of the roofs. She puts her hands pointing towards the incoming meteor. Her body started to glow bright blue, and she screams,

"BLACKHOLE!"

Suddenly a small blackhole appeared in the sky, sucking out everything around it, from clouds, to birds, to light, even the meteor was swallowed. Even the earthquake stopped and the flames, lava and such were swallowed by the blackhole too. She grips her fist and the blackhole vanished.

The Tectonic Mage turned pale as he witnessed his Meteor vanished in a matter of seconds. He fell into his knees and started to cry in despair,

"All of my efforts... all of my plans... I've failed everyone."

The Arcane Warrior sighed and said,

"Look at you, calling me a boy yet you are the one crying like a baby. Well the authorities are here. I better make the arrangements and claim my reward."

The Arcane Warrior walks away from the scene and went to the Military HQ. As he arrived there, Colonel Leo was already waiting for him. The Colonel walked towards the Arcane Warrior and said,

"Well done little brother. I guess you are here for your reward?"

The pissed Arcane Warrior replied,

"Stop calling me your brother. Our mother is not the same."

Colonel Leo replied with a soft giggle,

"Yes, but our father is though. Your reward shall be 50 Million gold pieces."

The Arcane Warrior was glad and his smile reaches his ears. He can't contain his excitement as he sees the accountant enter the reward into his bank account. The Colonel then said,

"Well the damage was around 25 Million gold pieces, and medical expenses for the injured are around 15 Million gold pieces. Also we have to pay every soldier that participated in the capture of Tectonic Mage and don't forget the taxes. How much was left, Miss?"

The accountant finished calculating the total expenses and said,

"Sir, there are a thousand gold pieces left."

The Colonel laughs while the Arcane Warrior lost his will and his soul just left his body. The Colonel then said to the Arcane Warrior with a laugh,

"Too bad, but don't worry! An average citizen makes 100 gold pieces per month! Plus, things here in the Empire only costs less than 50 silver pieces so don't worry little bro."

The Arcane Warrior then replied,

"Don't call me your little bro. Use my name if you will. Also I'm going to go to Draconica to research about Dragons."

With a smile and sadness in his eyes, the Colonel replied,

"Got it, I guess I'll take care of your documents to make you authorized in crossing borders. Take care, Gabriel."

Gabriel replied,

"Thanks, and see you soon Chris."
