64 Malevolence

6 months had passed as I trained using the waterfall, and other methods my level had stably increased to peak level 14. This has been the longest closed door training I have ever had.

I found that I rather enjoyed the experience, I had no letters from the mortal world. I was dedicated to the unceasing pursuit of power, and I found peace in solitude. But solitude isn't enough to truly reach the peak, I need to experience more.

I have now been at this school for one year, I had grown up. My birthday passed, I don't actually know my birthday. I just noticed at some point that I was 17 in my status bar but it didn't really matter to me.

I had progressed in my new technique Sword Armor. It worked out well, I could store sword intent in my body. Then it would burst out as a shield against tough attacks.

With this much assurance, I was ready to dominate the giant's clan. Especially now that I could handle their attacks, my sword intent increased to 49%, along with my Lightning Sword Code. Which settled at 49% as well, I was slowly closing in on a bottleneck. I knew I needed combat to get past the 49% mark.

I had already mastered the use of Lightning Step at this point I could walk on air. Since I could nearly neutralize the force I experienced using sword intent. Adding intermediate telekinesis, I had true flight powers and I could double my attack power.

It was truly a single bound into heaven when I reached inner reformation. Sadly to use my telekinetic powers now, it required 2 magic power points. But I truly now truly adept in the telekinetic arts, I could even use it to execute sword arts.

So I added that to my routine, I bought a few high-quality sabers from Priscilla in my time training. I could use 4 sabers along with the void sword in combat. Now I wasn't restricted to using telekinesis for tricks, I could kill purely by the power of my mind. My magic eyes became more profound as the mysteries of magic awaited my analysis.

I had spent most of my time not training working on spell crafts, and restriction magic. Calling me an Adept Arcanist wouldn't be wrong at this point. I was even able to analyze and deconstruct the restrictions in the library. I made sure to write down their operations and mathematics down.

I had also improved on my divination as I came to understand the stars. They were dimensional forces, that held powers of space-time. By comprehending the stars one can find the past and future memories that they hold. That was the nature of divination!

My stats had boosted a lot in speed but it was subpar in other parts.

But this was the difference between outer and inner reformation. There is a lot to improve on the outside, but inside you can only improve so much and it depends on your talents. I am most adept at speed, and to a lower extent strength.

I finished my training routine at the waterfall before I left for the dream formation. I was allowed inside quite easily and sat down in meditation.

I returned to the outskirts of the inner forest, I observed the terrain before calculating the position of Pektog's village. This time I didn't use the trees, I squatted and jumped into the air a huge distance. Then as I was falling I took a single step, then 1 became 2 and 4, soon I was walking on air!

I hadn't perfect air walking but I could for the most part walk with just a bit of fall in the air. After all, I could neutralize 98% of gravity but not all of it.

With my mental fortitude improved by my Sword Heart, I was much more capable of using Lightning Step long term. At the point, I truly felt I had transcended my mortal fetters. I could soar through skies and cut down my foes, this was the freedom that I desired.

I saw Pektog's village, it had grown larger and increased in variety. The orcs had moved in entirely, acting as citizens in Pektog's village. But unlike the regular goblins, the orcs' eyes were hollow and empty. They had great physical power and even a hint of corruption to them.

'Graklak has done well to follow my orders.' I thought in glee, I would naturally reward such behavior. Maybe I can release his consciousness...

I approached Pektog's home, which had expanded into the size of a small palace. I descended from the sky like a god, the citizens all solemn with respect. Some even bowed their heads as I descended, it was a strange feeling.

I pursue godhood for freedom, but worship itself isn't so bad. When I reached the ground the palace doors were opened with my sub-commanders coming out in greeting. The commanders walking in behind them all giving me reverential treatment.

I saw Pektog, he had improved well-approaching level 14, and Dazkieht only being a level behind. Graklak had recovered his power breaking through level 15 and reaching 16.

He was originally level 16 but old age made him weaker. His stats dropped and ultimately his level dropped. So it was rather easy for him to recover, what was more important was the improvement among the hobgoblins.

Some were even approaching level 7 and 8, this improvement would be extremely useful. Especially given the boost of my Shadow of Providence. Ulbrag himself had reached level 10, I would be promoting him just based on his void archery.

"Honored One, We are happy to see you once again." They all said as they went down on bended knee before me.

"Well done to all of you, Ulbrag you are now a Lesser Commander. You are the leader of my Void Archers! All sub-commanders have to follow your orders, but you are still subject to orders from Pektog, and Dazkieht."

"What about Graklak Sire?" Hegg the orc from before said in a hesitating tone. He still respected his teacher, even though he corrupted all of them. I didn't have Graklak take away their will though, only the ones that were problematic.

I raised my hand as a swirling vacuum of primordial power appeared. Agonized screams and shouts of anger abounded from my malevolent power. Graklak was especially sensitive to this as my vessel, I released the hold I had on his consciousness. I brought back my intent as Graklak's eyes became aware once again.

He looked at me in utter fear, in the time that he was confined in his mind. He was subjected to the most terrifying nightmares possible. Bedevilment eats away at the soul taking away all hope leaving only despair.

Even the rebellious Orcs were able to regain their consciousness, but they gave me the same fearful looks. All thoughts in rebellion were quelled in their hearts because they knew of despair now.

"Graklak you are my supreme commander. You will train all commanders and sub-commanders. But if you are incompetent, Dazkieht and Pektog together can override your command understood?" Never entrust power to a single person, it needs to be balanced.

"Understood..." Graklak said in a calm and fearful tone. He wouldn't ever think of betraying me even at my weakest.

"Well then I have some things to teach you all before we head out," I said with a sadistic smile, a few of the hobgoblins and goblins quivered. They had already experienced my sadistic training.

I was brought to their training field, where I saw a few goblins being taught how to use bows. Others were being trained using swords, that were found from new rookies. I was now a second-year student, and the new first-year class should arrive soon.

I directed the Orcs in tactics first, as they were the dumbest and newest. But much to my surprise, Graklak taught them well, so I just picked a few to teach my sword codes. They were too dumb to grasp my lightning sword intent, but they could use spatial force and my undying sword intent.

Especially learning my undying sword intent which for them was perfect. Orcs were a violent and utterly malevolent race giving them this intent was like giving tiger wings. It was just unfair to all the other animals, but goblins were much better at using my spatial energy and shadow force.

"For now I need to collect weapons," I said with a sadistic smirk, Pektog's face couldn't help but become reminiscent of the old days.
