35 Lord of Shadows
"You have demonstrated immense talent, both Elton and I will be training you. We hope that you will help the kingdom with its goals." The old man said in a kind tone.
"Of course Grandmaster," I responded kindly in turn
"In exchange for your help, I will naturally train you. Here is my first gift to you, my sword code. I gained power from her holiness Edith and created a light sword art. You are proficient in the saber and use accepted the power of mother Juphine correct?" The old man asked
"Yes, Grandmaster." but in my mind, I was only sneering. Like I would accept the power of Juphine, that would be the same as accepting death.
"Juphine and Edith have an alliance and a strong relationship. You can gain insights from my sword art, even though you use a saber and water."
As he said that he shot a sword Qi at me, it branded onto my forehead before I could move. My spell elemental brandings wanted to resist but I suppressed them. The sword Qi left a small white sword on my glabella, as my mind was filled with various sword stances. Luckily in training in the lightning sword code, I can support all forms of qi regardless of the weapon.
The final stance was an eradication of all darkness through a pure light. Its power was immense but unusable for me, on my status appeared a new technique Sword of Purity. Although the technique had registered it also had a repulsion tag next to it. I felt it corrode at my being as if it were competing with my shadow affinity threatening to consume me entirely.
I closed my eyes as I appeared in front of a spinning black Lotus with a spatial rift rotating over it. On one of the leaves was a lightning bolt, on the next leaf was a white serpent. The black leaf started to transform and was becoming white and withered. But at that moment a deafening roar came from the spatial rift as a black dragon broke through the rift and attacked the serpent.
The serpent shot out white beams putting the dragon in retreat. Though Cenir's primordial source was powerful, I myself was too weak to let it use its full power. But the sword of purity was the insights of a grand knight over the course of his entire long life. So for the moment, Cenir's primordial source was forced back as I watched.
The serpent's illuminating presence wrapped around the black dragon, as it hissed at the dragon. Normally a serpent could never defeat a true dragon. But this was in a way a newborn dragon vs an elder serpent. I leveraged the power of the spatial rift, as space twisted turned creating an immense spatial storm. In reality, I could never use that kind of power, but inside my mindscape, I am almighty.
The spatial storm powered by the white serpent causing it to rust and give it purplish spots all over. The Black Dragon remained pure black as its power increased. It roared causing huge vibrations as the serpent was forced back in weakness. My eyes flashed with a black light as the shadow hands came off the lotus and rose up to the dragon.
Granting it a dark veil, making the black dragon one of pure domination and power. Its awe-inspiring presence was slowly consuming the purity of the serpent. Then the lightning leaf released a massive current and struck the black dragon, giving it Thunder Armor. The dragon's hide crackled with electricity, as all the energy reached its mouth as it closed its mouth and compressed the energy.
The serpent put up its final offensive, as it roared with a final shot of purity. Its energy also compressed into its mouth as it blasted all of it out. The black dragon of domination did the same as the beams of white, and black met. The burst streams intertwined, but the devouring of the darkness overpowered the purifying of the light. It pushed the light back more and more.
Until the dark beam completely consumed the serpent, it was corrupted by the void, consumed by the darkness, and cut apart by the sword intent. From the ashes of serpent came another being, a malevolent dark snake that was subservient to the dragon.
It flew at the dragon and quickly fused, the black dragon presence increased in power as it disappeared back into the spatial rift. The lotus recovered back to its jet black color. I could feel my body start to evolve as my Magic Eyes and Magic Resistance fused into Magic Body. Then my Void Corruption and Gifts of the Void fused into Void Comprehension.
With my insights fusing my qi started to have a fundamental change, I could feel it become undying and almost real. Then in my combat code appeared true qi.

I clicked on it to see what the status of the technique was. When the host loses consciousness, they can activate True Qi form for 30 seconds. Accessing 1% of the power of the Lord of Shadows!
I read this sort of status in a complete stupor.
'What the hell is this Drrak?' I said
But Drrak remained silent as I looked at it in quiet.
'What in the world is going on.' I couldn't help but remember the devilish young man once again. He was inside of me all along, wasn't he?!?!
'Drrak, don't mess with me right now, what is going on.' I know Drrak is hiding something from me about the Lord of Shadows.
'You are the dark lord? The future Lord of Shadows?' Drrak said with an uncertain voice.
'What the hell does that even mean Drrak?'
'I don't know, I just felt something when I read your status. I wasn't sure what but I felt something.' Drrak said as he shook his head
'Do you think being so vague is cool and mysterious, just tell me what you want to say.' I said angrily at his vagueness
Drrak remained quiet as I waited impatiently
'Longing, What I felt was longing...' Drrak said with a sigh
'Longing for what?' I asked quizzically
'Your birth and your end.' Drrak said with a cold voice
'Is that all you've got to tell me really...' I couldn't help but feel exasperated with Drrak.
'Sorry I don't know any more than that.' Drrak said as he stopped responding to me.
I felt like Drrak was hiding something from me, but I held back my impulse to keep pushing him. After all, I still need Drrak and he seems to need me now more than ever. So I pushed more than usual but I wouldn't push him until he breaks.
'Fine.' But in my mind, I made sure to remember to search for further information on this title.
As I was distracted Teacher Elton and his grandfather kept watch on me as I meditated. A whole day had passed so when I awoke from meditation they were surprised.
'Kid I will obscure the color of the mark on your forehead, you can't reveal shadow affinity.'
The sword on my glabella started to change color and became black, but Drrak quickly interfered. The color changed to a light blue color like the sea with light branches all over it. My eyes flashed with a black and murderous light as they opened. I was angered at the situation of not knowing. Between Drrak, and Cenir I have too much I don't know. But I calmed my heart and made a list of priorities.
'Worrying will do no help, only diligent and careful planning will help. I can't take too much to eat without gorging myself.'
