30 Lightning Step

As the hobgoblins were being massacred Pektog followed Rulgut. He was a bit behind him, although Pektog was fast. Rulgut had a running start he wasn't slow at all. So Pektog just pursued a while, as Rulgut looked at the undead ghoul sword infatuated.

Rulgut was out of it as Pektog approached, but then Pektog's speed increased as he smashed a tree branch with his accelerated step. Rulgut turned around and saw Pektog fly at him in light armor. Like a battering ram, Pektog smashed at Rulgut making him fall off the tree.

Rulgut lost balance and fell to the ground, it was muddy and mushy so he was covered in mud. He tried to get up and run but the support from on the mud was weak.

He looked on in fear as Pektog jumped off the tree and slammed the ground. Pektog's face hardened in silent anger as he looked at Rulgut. His stare intimidated Rulgut, already jumpy heart. It wasn't that Rulgut was weak, but that Pektog was that terrifying.

"Y....ou can have it," Rulgut said as he presented the undead ghoul sword in a stutter.

He got on one knee and looked down to not seem dangerous at all. Pektog walked up into the mud and got near Rulgut. When Rulgut abruptly tried to cut at Pektog with the undead ghoul sword.

Pektog raised his arm and used his forearm armor plating to guard against the undead ghoul sword. He raised his other arm and balled it into a fist. It cracked and he pulled it back and twisted it while throwing his full body into a punch.

His large fist smashed Rulgut's face as he flew back into a tree. About 2 meters away, his face was bloody and all his teeth were missing. In front of Pektog was the undead ghoul sword which was dropped. It was partially unsheathed and the sword was darker than midnight as a red pattern was on it.

Pektog looked closer and saw a dark creature on the sword, as a deathly Qi enveloped the area. A silhouette of a black ghoul appeared right above the sword. Before Pektog could decipher the situation, the ghoul disappeared leaving some of its death Qi on Pektog.

As all this was happening my fight with Dahzieht was intensifying, as our weapons would meet and retreat with sparks and clanks. I was lower in strength but I made up for it with finesse and cunning pinpoint attacks.

His greatsword flew at me intent on smashing me, I back stepped out of the way and onto another tree before it hit me. The greatsword smashed the tree into bits and he raised it again and pointed it at me.

"Human, you can speak beast script correct?" Dazkieht said in an intimidating tone

I stayed quiet as we had a stare down me from a tree and him on the ground.

"You don't need to answer, how else would you work together with Pektog. Pektog is but an infant he doesn't know what it means to know beast script. You cannot be a human being if you speak beast script." he said definitively with his raised sword

'Drrak what does he mean?' I asked with concern

In my shadow, the outline of Drrak's dragon form appeared.

'You are not human, once you were marked and reborn you became shadowborn.' Drrak solemnly responded.

I quietly ruminated on Drrak's phrasing, it never really set in that I was no longer human. But now I realize just how different I've become.

'Once I was marked I was always a shadowborn huh. Yet I take human form and my powers only manifested, when that mage put these brandings on me.'

I put it in the back of my mind, Dahziekt just wants to get me distracted so he could attack me. But I wasn't dumb enough to put my guard down.

I augmented my feet using telekinesis and pushed off with full force, I sheathed my sword but kept a grip on the handle. I flew straight at Dahziekt and added a spin to my movement.

Dahziekt swung his greatsword, but by manipulating my force using the spin, I barely dodged the great sword. I unsheathed my void sword in one move and swung as I passed Dahziekt.

But I used my spin and telekinesis to not just dart past him but to circle him with one big strike. I cut through the chain mail from his side to halfway across his back.

When his greatsword hit the ground and he did a back kick to swat away at me. I jumped on to his leg and used it to get over him.

I fell down and used the force of gravity and some more spin to cut his chain mail vertically, as he started to punch at me. I back stepped and he didn't pursue. I was tired as I looked at his cut-up chain mail, I was tired but not at my limit.

'I need much more pressure to hone myself.' I thought as I looked at Dahziekt in a calculating way

'I still hadn't used void energy, just some telekinesis throughout the fight. I plan on using it when he is most unaware, but I need risk. I need to be deprived of all avenues of escape.'

I channeled all the void energy from my spell circle into my sword along with Lightning Sword Intent. The void sword glowed with power as my energy spiked. The void sword strangely started to take a dark violet hue to it. I didn't care much though I just focused my eyes on his armor.

My elemental brandings working to power my magic eyes, as they examined his body. I found 4 adjacent points on his armor that had a small blue glow on them

I jumped to a tree near me and changed directions with telekinesis. I did so until I ran out at 8 direction turns.

My speed was far faster than the eye could see, and my body was feeling the damage. The windburn my skin, and the g-force pressured my body.

I felt like I was going to collapse as I used the trees like a spider web and got faster and faster. Then at the peak of my speed, I attacked in an instant! Using the Lightning Sword Intent to the max.

Abruptly Dahziekt put his great sword in the ground in front of him like a shield. Though normally I would get around it, I could stop with this much speed.

So I didn't stop, 'a sword needs indomitable will. I shouldn't shy away just because of a challenge.'

Like a tornado, I cut through hit greatsword like butter and stormed into him. Dahziekt tried to move out of the way but I used the void energy to get closer.

I knew cutting his skin would be tough even with all this speed, so I didn't target his skin.

In my heart, the spatial rift seemed to disappear and in front of Dazkieht's heart appeared the spatial rift! As it appeared my void corruption increased by a percent, I then proceeded to stab the spatial rift with my sword tip. The void sword appeared inside his body and made a mess of his organs, and cut at his 4 adjacent points from inside.

The force disrupted his chain mail, as it crumbled from the previous attacks and fell off cut up. The void sword went through his body using the rest of my speed.

But I flew out of control from the speed and went forward until I hit into a tree. Leaving an imprint of my body and a half-collapsed tree. My left arm was mangled from the force but Dahziekt was more damaged. He had a big cut on his back and huge internal damage.

"You are a rather impressive human, I will admit I looked down on your tiny stature. But I will still kill you for this offense." He said as he took the bottom part of the broken greatsword.

'His back was bleeding out, yet he talks as if he can still fight.' I thought with a chuckle

I could laugh because I had already lost my control, I had reached my most powerful state. My sword intent substantialized as an aura of domination and sharpness. My every gesture was filled with a dangerous streak as my killing intent roared.

I gripped the void sword with just my right hand, although the void sword was a two-handed sword. It was easy to use right now, although my strength was depleting.

I couldn't even feel the pain of my mangled left arm nor could I hear Drrak's warnings.

I just smiled as I looked at Dahziekt's bleeding body, my muscles and joints cracked and set in place. I took a deep breath as the world disappeared, only Dahziekt was in front of me and a path to his death.

I had unconsciously predicted his attack pattern and the optimal way to kill him. He slashes at me up front, retreat, then jumps back in to surprise me.

Dahziekt jumped at me with his sword and tried to smash me with it. I raised the void sword and redirected the great sword's force at him. He moved back a bit, and I used little to no energy to do so. The bar of the Lightning Sword Code increase by 1%.

Dahziekt retreated a bit to lure me out, I moved forward and he attacked again with a smash. But I just redirected it, and he was feeling pressured.

He took a step back to reassess the situation, as the bar increased by another 1%. I attacked once again and cut at his ankles, he brought his sword down to guard.

But I changed directions and added a jump as I cut at his abdomen. Leaving a long but thin scar across his chest, as he looked at me in fear.

'Completely unpredictable, but he can predict my every move, I've got to run, he's a monster.' Dazkieht thought in fear

He threw his broken great sword at me, as I cut it into pieces again. This time with little to no effort, and ran after him. He tried to run away but I would cut down any trees he tried to get away with. Then he fell into a bog and was stuck for a moment, I capitalized on that moment.

I flew off the tree branch and raised the void sword, using gravity I increased my force. I swung my sword to cut Dahziekt down, he cross-guarded with his hands.

I refined all my sword intent into the Lightning bolt on the lotus. My insights exploded as the bar for Lightning Sword Code progressed all the way to 15%. All of sudden I became enlightened in the Lightning Sword Style.

"Lightning Step," I said as I instantly jump and dodged his cross guard appearing behind him. As his vision was obscured by his crossguard he didn't notice me get behind him.

I stabbed into Dazkieht's chest and did a twist all over his body as I cut off his entire upper body. I swung the blood off my sword and sheathed it. I looked at my status as under the Lightning Sword Code appeared Lightning Step.
