111 Heading Out

In front of me, Kathessa fantastic figure swayed as she ran across the treetops. I casually followed behind, but I couldn't help but admire her immense speed. Although she had the strength of a transitioning knight, she could move at pseudo-mach 1 speeds.

I myself had the standard stats of a true knight, a normal mage would have stats at 50. But due to the influence of my dragon bloodline, and knight training I had twice the average stats.

'I wonder if her higher stats have to do with beast physiology.' My eye of chaos scanned her body, I saw her shiver as my perception scanned her and she pretended to not notice. I had previously constructed my art of magical acceleration on this basis of beast physiology.

But due to the flawed methods created by the aristocrats I hadn't truly comprehended the power of bloodline. In Kathessa blood I could sense strange magical forces, but not the standard powers of the gods but rather a more natural power.

'I'll focus on excavating the mysteries of bloodlines, and magic while here.' I opened my palm and on it was a tattoo of a demonic starbug. When I had it devour the snakes, I did so for my later blood experiments.

"Tell me about your kingdom." I coolly said to Kathessa

"Naga, Lamia, and Snake Lords. All of us originated from Ancient Bloodline Serpent God." She explained as she simultaneously focused on running.

"Bloodline God? What kind of title is that?" I asked curiously

"The kind of title that one earns after they inherit a Natural Law Physique from mother earth." She said not concealing her pride.

"To not even know this, where are you from?" She asked quizzically, these were just basic facts almost everyone knew for him to be asking...what was even stranger was his physique. She could tell he inherited a mighty bloodline, but she had never seen his kind.

"Irrelevant, tell me where we are going." I responded by releasing my intimidating aura.

"We are heading to Snake's Ridge, where the 3 serpent tribes each rule their own kingdom." She responded shyly, at this point we had left the forest and were speeding away on land. With Mach 1 speeds it wasn't long until we saw sprawling kingdom.

The kingdom was surrounded by massive trees that peaked into the clouds. The trees circled around as a wall protecting the kingdom. The kingdom was inclined at the bottom were crude huts, and as one ascended the hills the quality rapidly increased into pavillions and estates.

Then at the center was a castle wrapped around with coiling vines and foliage all along it. All the foliage didn't seem to be quite simply overgrowth. There seemed to be a pattern of laws that it followed.

As we soon approached the edge of the trees, my predator eyes permutated into various profound patterns as the mysteries of became apparent to me. I could see various restrictions on the foliage as they became increasingly profound as they reached the top.

But there was a strange quality about these restrictions, they didn't seem to be man-made. Instead, they seemed as though they were made by nature. It reminded me of the restrictions on the morning star.

'The division of the organic and inorganic is far more profound then I imagined.' I had expertise in spell circles which pertained to the organic, and restrictions which applied to the inorganic. Beings of will alter the inorganic world, and the inorganic world alters the organic.

Kathessa noticed the profound light in my eyes, avoided disturbing me as she led us to the bottom of the hill. When he got near the tree, she spat up some blood and put in on one of the massive oak trees. It shined with a blood light as cracks appeared in the air.

"This is our bloodline gate, only those with snake origin can open it." She said to me as I looked curiously at the restrictions on the tree. I felt increasingly enthralled by the interesting use of restrictions. It was a whole new world of magic that I was intent on deciphering.

We dashed forward when all of sudden a green flame emerged in front of us. It disseminated poisonous ash as a viper burst out at me. As the wretched thing approached my eyes flashed with nomological runes.

"Devour Cipher." I quietly intoned as all around me appeared a mighty matrix of runes. Each flashing with devouring power, the runes created a vortex that instantly devoured the viper and its poisonous energies.

As the viper was devoured I felt a further threat, my runes started to shake as they shined with a green light. Then another flash of poisonous power strike from behind me. I released a torrent of shadow force in response.

The two energies clashed and obliterated one another as my runes shattered into poison. The poison fog dashed behind me as I jumped back and stared at it as it coalesced into a green figure.

"It's rare for someone to block my viper." The figure hissed out as it became an emancipated old man with snake eyes.

'He broke my devour cipher...' I have an advantage against magic, it would be impossible to break it with magic. Then he used something that wasn't magic.

"Father..." Kathessa cried out as she approached as the dust settled.

"Kathessa, what has this man done to you?" The old man said with his outrage unconcealed.

"Father it's not what you think." Kathessa responded with worry.

"Stand down, your father wants to fight I'll give him a fight." I said with a sinister smile, I was interested in his powers, of course, I had to fight him.

"Arrogant junior, I'll teach you respect." The old man roared as a swarm of vipers flew at me releasing noxious gases. I activated my eye of chaos and fully analyzed the vipers, but instead of registering as magical energies. They came off as living breathing organisms!

"Bloodline power, this is bloodline power!" I couldn't help but scream out, as dodged away from the serpents with void powers. My body would disappear and reappear all around almost instantly. The old man's veins started to pop out as he released an unending amount of vipers.

"This is the power of blood magic." The old man roared as his blood vitality soared, his body elongated as he became a massive predator snake. He reminded me of Asmodeus as his eyes shined with an intense green light. He hissed as the world seemed to become engulfed by serpents.

"Bloodline: Engulfing!" The old man intoned in his snake form. I jumped into the sky as the serpents started to multiply covering the world, and obscuring all the light. All I could see was a sea of serpents intent on devouring me.

"This is enough of the tests old man. I'll show you my true power." I coldly said

"Shadow Cipher: Shade!" I roared as my eyes became pitch black. From my body emerged intense shadow force that engulfed the serpents, it extended into the skies devouring anything that stood in its way.

The sun can be hidden by the clouds, but the light is still there. But this was true darkness, that devoured the sun and left only a night sky.

"Astral Cipher!" I continued as a river of stars slammed into the darkness. This was my starry sky, and it was intent on killing!

"Devil's Cipher!" My eyes shined with devilish intent as the intent slammed into the serpent weakening it's dominating stance.

On my back was a tattoo of a sinister devil with 8 blue lines and 1 red line. The devil projected off of my back becoming a massive 1000 meter devil. It drew power from my starry sky as it shined with astral powers.

"Is this...a domain?" The old man said with a dazed expression. This wasn't a true domain, but with simulations and my experience with domains using my true self, I could create a false domain.

"No matter young man, give me your best!" The old man laughed as the sea of serpents attacked as a fog of noxious gases and liquid poisons.

I cooly looked on as the devil behind me cackled with a sinister distorted laugh. The devil closed it's fists as it crackled with intense power, and it struck down with a massive devilish punch. The fist's momentum created windshadows that assaulted the incoming serpents withering them away.

The windshadows tore through the engulfing power, but that was just secondary. The true power was the unending might of the starry skies. This fist was a fist from the stars, a power I learned from Krisor, my fist of the starry sky.

The windshadows dispersed the sea of snakes exposing the old man in his serpent form. As he tried to retreat the devil's fist slammed into him. His body was crushed as he was slammed into the ground and the fist continued forcing him in deeper.

It was the full weight of my starry sky, imagine the power of the astral river slamming into you. Even when I experienced it I could barely handle the weight! I retracted my false domain after I saw there was no more resistance. The devil tattoo returned to my back as the sky quickly brightened up.
