Elton advised before continuing his lecture

We left the banquet as some people were conversing as we left, the old man and Brian walked over to us.

"Elton boy, how could you leave without introducing you, disciple?" The old man said with a shameless grin.

Elton's face remained calm, but I knew he was annoyed at being stopped.

"I was leading my disciple to my Grandfather, do you have a problem with that Dante?" Elton said with a cold voice.

"Boy, when did you grow a pair?" He said as his fiery aura emanated out, forcing Elton's feeble white aura back. But Dante's face was surprised when he took a step back

"You've already started igniting your aura?" He said in slight fear this kind of talent was monstrous

"Of course only 1 year until I become a grand knight," Elton said with a chuckle

"Just because you have the aura, doesn't mean you can defeat a Magus," Dante said arrogantly

"I don't need to defeat you, I just need to push a few buttons." Elton grinned as he stared down Dante.

Dante's face darkened as Teacher Elton spoke.

'He's hiding something that Teacher Elton knows about it seems. Does it have to do with his deal Drrak?'

'I couldn't tell about his deal unless I was Lodite himself.' Drrak teased

As they spoke Brian looked at me curiously, I stayed stone-faced as he watched me. Strangely unlike Dante with a fiery and powerful aura. He had a liquid and freezing aura to him, it seemed he specialized in water, and his master used fire.

"Hello, Lucas," Brian said in a calm voice with a light smile

"Hello Brian, thank you for your help last time," I said

"No problem, let us not let our masters' problems interfere with our friendship." He said kindly to me

"But of course," I said definitively

As we finished talking Dante weighed his options, when he saw Brian's play he decided to leave.

"Alright Elton boy, you can go meet with your grandfather," Dante said in an authoritative voice

Teacher Elton didn't bother to talk anymore he grabbed me, and we dashed out of the room and zigzagged in the teacher's area. We went to his room where an old man in a white robe was seated. His presence was like a holy sword cutting all shadows and darkness apart.

I contained all my shadowy energy and guarded myself with a thin layer of void energy. The suppression of his light sword let up, and I felt better. But the old man was staring at me strangely like he was trying to dissect me. But after a moment he gave up and looked to Teacher Elton.

"Is this the boy?" The old man said

"Yes, grandfather." Teacher Elton said respectfully

"Very well done to handle my suppression like that." He said to me

I didn't speak I just bowed lightly, some compliments don't require verbal acknowledgment. Especially when the person giving you the compliment is this powerful.

"Elton told about the general points of the tournaments correct?" The old man emotionlessly said

I shook my head yes

"Well, I'll explain the rest." The old man said as he proceeded with his explanation.

The third has almost always been Vermillion Country, but they are closing in one being a second place competitor. Lastly, the Dread Empire has almost always been fourth." The old man's voice fluctuated when he talked about Vermillion Country, I made sure to note that.

"Our concern is to defeat Kirin, they are our worst enemies." The old man said and waited for my questions

"What happened to cause this grudge?" I asked quietly

"It was the age of collapse, right before the birth of the second human prophet. The beast realm had wrecked havoc in the Dread Empire, and Vermillion Country was yet to be colonized by the exiled."

"So they attacked Rain and made an agreement with the corrupted fey. We asked for backup from Kirin." The old man's voice revealed bitter hatred the more he spoke

"But our ancestors had always competed and it continued in our nobility. They decided to take a wait and see approach until one noble spurred them on. He said they would have riches and glories while honoring their ancestors. As long as they mounted a secret offensive against Rain." The old man's voice became even more agitated

"So they came under the guise of helping Rain, but they then assassinated our generals, nobles, and even the heir to the kingdom.
