6 Aftermath of his Magic

He awoke with Julia sitting next to him, he felt no more pain. He sat up instantly as Julia got up and tried to make him lie down, "Julia, you are okay, thank god."

"Are you crazy? Lie down, you are hurt."

"Nope, I only need 15 minutes to recover normally."

"You have been asleep for 2 hours."

"Ah, Gloom, a glorious spell."

"Y-You used it?"

"Have I ever let you down?"

"No, not at all, not at all, Simeon, I say the same thing all the time."

"I used it to make sure I would win, it hurt though."

"Mentally?"

"No, physically, did you see the Spilt-Pain?"

"Yes, Roger was folded in two, but you seemed to not feel anything."

"Gloom, and my Unbroken Will," A doctor walked into the room with a folder in his hands.

"Simeon, if you don't mind, I would like to tell you about the results that we have from your checks," He sat down near Simeon, "You have no broken bones, except for a fracture in your right middle finger, here and here," He showed Simeon his x-rays, "The next thing is that your heart rate was at 240 when you were asleep, after the fight, is that normal? Or is that something new to you that we should look in to more?"

"My magic does that, it is fine, I am at 60 right now."

"Okay, if you say so, and afterwards, there is nothing wrong with your blood tests, nothing wrong with your body apart from the finger, I'll bandage it for you."

"It is fine," Julia grabbed his finger, "AH! Julia!"

"Doctor, can you bandage it?"

"I was planning on doing that, Julia, and I think he accepted."

He woke up in the middle of the night, sweating, "What was that? Who talked to me?" He looked around the room, only Julia was in the room, asleep, "Why Arcane Shield? What is that? Is that a spell?"

"Try it then," He heard the same voice and turned on the lights, no one was there, "You have been looking for it, and it has found you."

"My ultimate spell?"

"Try it."

"Oh great, well, I'll go try it then," He began pulling on his clothes before stopping to turn off the lights, "Don't want Julia to be worried."

"Simeon?" She said still asleep, "Stay in your bed, I need to sleep like you."

"Okay, you are clearly dreaming," He smiled as she turned onto her side, "See you later," He whispered as he left the room.

He stood alone in the training arena, "No one is here, well, I guess perfect, Pain Tome, Arcane Shield," He fell to one knee as his body reeled in pain, "God, that is actually a spell," He wheezed, "Ahh!" He got up and looked around, "I don't feel anything different, well, what the fuck is my ultimate spell then?" He sighed and then sat down in the sand, "Will I ever find it? maybe, I wonder what Arcane Shield was anyways?" He sighed and got up, as soon as he was up magic began swirling around him, "What on earth is this?" Armor formed around him entirely and a shield formed on his left forearm and a blade appeared in his right hand, "What is this?"

"Arcane Shield," The voice said once more, "Ultimate spell."

"So I have an offensive spell, finally," He swung the blade as if he was fighting an imaginary opponent and as he swung it, a massive wave of magic left the blade and flew across the arena, "Oh, now that is an offensive spell," Simeon was a amateur sword fighter, he enjoyed training in fencing and sword fighting, it was something that he did more than actually practicing magic, and now the spell that he would be able to use as an ultimate spell utilized that. His gauntlets had a black aura to them and the rest of his armor was golden. He placed the sword in the hilt at his left and the armor faded, "5 pains, I guess," He smiled, "I should get back to the room, not to worry Julia, this will shock the world, to see what I reserved for those two, I don't think a Blade tome and a Malicious tome stand a chance."

"Simeon, what were you doing?" He was met by Julia's voice as he stepped into the room, "Where were you?" Her question was more of a demand than it was a question, "Tell me."

"I was, I was trying my magic."

"Mhm, that's it?"

"Why are you doubting me?"

"Pff, I don't know."

"You want to tell me something?" He sat down on his bed facing her, "If you want to speak, then speak."

"I was worried of being alone."

"Why?"

"I love you," She mumbled, "That's why."

"Oh, well, I don't know what to say," He said nervously, "Really?"

"Yes," She mumbled again, "I do."

"Well, um, hey, let's get some rest," He said getting back into his pj's, "Good night."

"Good night, Simeon."

"Hmm?"

"Nothing, nothing," He turned the lights back on, "Geez, I said it was nothing."

"I discovered something new."

"What do you mean?"

"A flaw in the duo we are fighting."

"Really?"

"Yes, I just wanted to tell you, well, goodnight, Julia."

"Yes, goodnight, Simeon."
