"Baaammm, Crraaccckkkk"

"Mom!"

An angry groan was heard from the back yard.

"He went overboard again"

"Arietid, how many bones did you break on him this time?" chortled Xuè Jiàn as she looked through her window at the human shaped mess lying outside gasping for breath through what seems to be its mouth, which honestly even as a mother she could hardly recognize it as her son.

"Hmm, well he managed to touch my robe whilst am suppressed to the blood rite stage, so i broke all his limbs, fingers and toes. So about 50 of them I guess." A seemingly young man nonchalantly replied as he squatted next to the meat pile laying on the grass with black, blue and red marks all over its body as blood slowly trickled away from.

"Oh he managed to touch your robe?!" A surprised cry resounded from the kitchen door as Xuè Jiàn walked into the yard with a wide and charming smile. "Seems like he wasn't lying when he said he had a breakthrough."

"Hmph, breakthrough my royal ass" snorted Arietid as he got up and walked to his wife leaving Arcane on the ground who was staring at his back with an ominous glint shining in his eye.

"Hmph, I'll drag your favorite robe in the ground after mom washes it later, lets see your expression then!" Snorted Arcane inwardly to himself as he planned his revenge on his dad.

"Oh by the way, your mom won't be washing my robe today, as I am going out, she already washed it earlier during your lesson"

Arcane's face immediately turned pale as his thoughts had been seen through by his dad without even looking at him. Immediately after he snorted and started cursing his old man in his mind.

A sharp bloody scent slowly started to build up around his mind which instantly caused him to shiver as he realised his mother just looked at his thoughts.

"Hunny, what did I say about cursing and complaining in my house when you can't even finish simple tasks as helping your father take off his robe?"

A seemingly gentle smile hung on Xuè Jiàn's face as she casually spoke to arcane who was trembling as he could sense the blood dripping from his mother's supposedly gentle words, and suddenly remembered that his father wasn't the most terrifying one in the house as his mom becomes a smiling tiger every time her rules are broken!

"Damn it and these abnormal monsters! Atleast give me some privacy in my own brain!"

"No privacy for a week every time you break a rule… and you broke the same one two days ago."

His mom playfully whispered as she healed his wounds, only to pick up a tree branch from the ground whilst looking at him with a toying and cold smile. Like a wild cat playing with a domestic mouse.

"Oh fu…..Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"Dad, why is mom so much scarier than you?"

"Hmm, have you ever stopped and think about what your mother's name mean?"

"What it means? Oh uhm, no. I think it means… sword… blood...wait not it should be Blood Sword right? Crap!"

"Hahahahahaaa, yes her name literally means blood sword or as her family and everyone else calls her, the bloody sword demon"

Ar ietid smirked as he remembered his life before Arcane along with his throne and war empire.

"So what was her name before she was called that?"

"Oh, what made you think that wasn't always her name?"

"Well you asked me what her name meant, and from your expression it seems like mom is someone who is considered terrifying even on your level, plus I highly doubt that grandmom would willing name her daughter something as ominous as blood sword. That means her current name is most likely acquired." Speculated Arcane as he tried to figure out his mom's true identity from the cluses his dad obviously dropped on purpose.

"Plus she honestly reeks of blood when I do something wrong and upset her" he shivered as he muttered the last part.

A look of praise and approval appeared on his father's face as he looked at him.

"You're right, she wasn't always referred to as the bloody sword demon. Whilst her name Xuè Jiàn hasn't changed, the meaning behind it did. Originally her name Xuè Jiàn was taken from the phrase, pǐn xué jiān yōu which meant 'a paragon of virtue and learning' which she originally was. Until of course some idiot from a family that was stronger than her's at the time tried to rape her…"

"Arietid Huimie its been awhile since I last chopped off your head hasn't it?!"

A blood chilling voice was suddenly heard coming from the space behind them as the surrounding started to be covered in a redish snow that seemed to be frozen blood!

"Oh shit! She's back! Well Arci I'll see you in about a year's time"

"Get back here Huimie!"

A sharp voice rang out as Xuè Jiàn chased Arietid into void region outside the minor world.

"…"

"But this evening was supposed to be my coming of age ceremony, and i finally turned fifteen!"

Arcane shouted out to the void.

'Fine they won't be here for about another eleven months minimum, that's enough time for me to go see more of this minor world and its inhabitants, after all they never let me out of this mini thousand mile void village that dad made.'

Arcane thought as he walked toward the barrier between the void village and the rest of the world.

'Thinking about it now, dad never said what mom's family name was and that was the first time that either of them have ever mentioned that mom has a big family, and it seems like she made it bigger because dad said at the time which means that her family should be stronger now.'

"O the barrier is pretty weak isn't it?"

He exclaimed softly as his hand easily passed through with no resistance at all.

"Welp it's time to go an explore!"

He shouted excitedly as he leapt past the barrier.
