Chapter 22 - Unexpected encounter

Even without Violet's warning, Claggor and Mylo already put down everything in their hands and ran out of the balcony.

Following right behind them, was Violet and Powder who was completely overwhelmed by panic.

Not even two steps in, she accidentally tripped the table and yelled in pain. Then she fell forward and to the ground.

"Powder!"

Hearing the commotion behind her, Violet, who had already ran outside the balcony and was almost at the top of the roof, looked down and was now panicking.

With a painful expression on her face, Powder pressed her ankle with one hand, and tears rolled from her eyes to her cheeks.

"Violet, my foot..."

At this moment, the door of the room opened, and one of the two sheep they had been following walked in.

"We came in to … walk around. we didn't take anything!" Violet defended them selves with little confidence.

"Climbing up to the top floor and down the balcony to visit, right?" Lilin shook his head and chuckled, "By the way, how was it written in Piltover's law? Is it called attempted theft?

"If you are caught, you will have to be imprisoned for at least two years... Also, stealing from the Kiramman family. I don't think the enforcers or the judge will let you off easy."

"Violet, why are we talking! Just knock him out, and we're good." Mylo stared at Lilin and cracked his knuckles.

Lilin said with a smile, but he was just trying to scare these ignorant children to not doing anything else foolish uptown.

After all, he's becoming friends with Vander. Putting his kids in prison is not exactly a way to please someone.

It is better to have another friend than another enemy.

As the leader of Zaun's Lanes, a good relationship with Vander will go a long way for Lilin's future plans.

The two sisters in front of them are also champions he recognize. They will be a good investment, like Ekko.

Regardless, he wouldn't really put them in jail.

However, the four children doesn't know what went through Lilin's mind.

Violet lightly patted Powder's shoulder twice, then stood up expressionlessly, and looked at Lilin emotionlessly.

"This was all me. If you let them go, I'll go to the police with you and accept the consequences."

"Violet?" Powder stared at her sister, in awe and unable to stop her tears.

"What!?" Mylo, who looked flustered, held her shoulders, "Why!?"

"It's not just you Violet, we won't let you go alone." Claggor walked up.

And Powder, who was still sitting on the ground, wailing.

"You guys..." Violet's eyes reddened slightly, "No! Vander still needs you. If I take the fall, you guys'll be fine."

She shook off Mylo's hand, strode towards Lilin, and stopped about a meter in front of him.

"Let them go, take me."

"ha ha ha" Lilin couldn't help but laugh when he saw the serious look of these children.

Violet scratched her messy hair awkwardly, also embarrassed.

Vander even has friends in Piltover, but I thought he hated…

"You can leave now and wait outside. When the guards go on break, I'll send her out through the back door." Lilin explained.

Powder wipe away the tears on her face with her, "It's okay Vi, I can take care of myself."

After thinking again and again, she exhaled heavily and looked at Lilin.
