Synopsis

Ceto a girl born in a world where man had advanced to what they called the "final frontier" the vast expanse of the stars in the skys black ocean..but little did humanity know that more lurked in the dark waters of their home, their advancements not only hurt but awakened the creatures of the depths that they had been so oblivious of. Ceto only felt pain seeing so many creatures killed or kept in smaller environments because of their destroyed homes turned to slime and plastic. Never in her life was she able to witness pure water, but this only tempted her to try and make change. But this didn't go unnoticed for Ceto would soon be chosen to break and reform a broken world holding horrors that can't be forgotten.

Chapter 1The Oceans lost beauty.

"....i'm sorry.."

That's the first words that came out of Ceto's mouth when she watched the oceans waves, black and slimy like tar and full of all the trash one could imagine and all the rotting corpses of dead animals two, washing up on the shore practically stuffed with trash and blood that turned green from the toxic chemicals and oil. Even a few extra limbs or lack of.

"..I wish they could be better...that they cared..but im only a human and one of the few that actually care about the ocean nowadays.."

Ceto remarked how since humanity found their way to space they started to care even less about what they were leaving behind, capturing animals a breeding them to keep them alive for food or exotics even catching the mutated sea creatures for experimentation. She knew that humanity was its own downfall she was no point in her life a religious person though she did wish a few times that her classmates would be smited, heck each and everyday they would refer to her as "seasick Ceto" one cause she was always at the ocean and two they learned about her dreams or as they called it delusions. She did always have strange dreams as a kid weird creatures, places, sounds, all seeming to be underwater..yet she had never seen them anywhere else...but it felt natural...for some strange reason.

"Hey Ceto come on you still need to pack.." Said a raspy voice from behind her as she turned to see her mother, a very middle aged looking woman with greyish black hair, a plump body, smoky eyes, and pale skin always smelling like a walking cigarette, and currently wearing a long black plain dress and jeans, with a very annoyed look on her face this was Velma Aquwin, Ceto's mother.

"oh yeah sorry im coming mom" She replied, despite her mother's looks Ceto was a polar opposite: lean with muscle, long black hair with blue streaks, fair but pale skin, malachite green eyes, and a foot taller than her mother which she assumed she got from her missing father, who she never got the chance to meet, and it's not like her mom would ever talk about it without hitting her with with something.

"Yeah you better be..."She said smoking another cigarette. Ceto still questioned how they could even afford a trip to a colony with how many packs her mom smoked, Oh right considering that Ceto was now 17 her family could now legally leave earth and head to a colony built in the sky or space since humanity started travelling out to the stars they also ran into alien colonies and they always need more "recruits" Ceto just called them death fodder.

"kid....kid.....WAKE UP!" came a shout making Ceto jolt awake from her daydreams, she looked around seeing that she was in her mom's car already back home, or what her mom called a shit show, full of cracks, worn color, and looking like it was about to fall apart...

"GET IN HERE WHORE!".. oh yeah and him..Ceto's step father the almighty fucking Rick....around when Ceto was 13 her mother Velma started prostituting around for money to spend on herself, and finally hooked up with him..always taking a hit at Ceto or her mother or making predatory passes at Ceto not like he succeeded in getting her since Ceto knew he couldn't keep up with her when running nor knew were she would go when she ran away.

She walked to her room it was small and barely had anything in it and even if it did it was already packed up..except for one thing, She strode over to a certain wood plank on her bedroom floor and lifted it up revealing and small black box and note that read { for my dear daughter a gift for you when you turn 17 to keep me close to you }, she found this when she was around 14 but since it was from her real dad kept that promise, she slowly open the small black box revealing it's contents which was a silver chain necklace with what appeared to be an aquamarine gemstone in a special clasp.

".........." Speechless was she, Ceto was never well off her house proves that so too see something so valuable and from her father no less it was an amazing feeling that she could only describe as "true" happiness.

"Hey brat it's time to go"

Ricks voice could be heard outside the door,. "i'm coming!" Ceto replied quickly putting the necklace around her neck and hiding it under her shirt just in case, grabbing her bag and running out the door to her mom's car, looking back at her home one last time and packing her stuff in the car. 'goodbye home..goodbye ocean.' She thought to herself 'i'll miss you.'
