67 The aftermath

An orb that is placed within a protective shield bearer explodes in pieces. It is too sudden and causes everyone around it to be surprised. Few of the priest has their eyes wide open. It basically means that one of their kind has fallen in battle.

The maids that knew who it belongs to started crying. More and more people start to gather around the ord, there is nametags place under each and every orb within the room. A total of six hundred orbs but now that one has exploded. Left with five hundred and ninety-nine.

"Sire, one of our ninth rank priest has fallen in battle."

"What is his task?"

"To eliminate the Gwendal kingdom from existence and eliminate the general from the Henson Kingdom"

"Tch… Useless. I remembered he was even given ten of my crusader knight."

"There may be humans involved in the fight. I don't think the sword that we gave to the leader of the knight can be defeated in battle when opposing any kind of demon."

"The rumors are true then. The demon king has taken action. Before we sent any more of our priest to their death. Go find out what really happens. Did the general from the Henson Kingdom came back from that forest. One month, I give you one month to slaughter everyone in the Henson Kingdom is you find out that the Henson Kingdom is the one that opposes us."

"Sire, may I use our private army?"

"You may do so if the hero of the Henson Kingdom is present at the time of battle. Remember, if you do deploy them. Remove any witness."

"I understand Sire! Is there any other order Sire?"

"You may go now."

"Right away Sir!"

After the man come out from the room, the pope frown as he don't think it will be settled easily. He doesn't think the general has enough power to eliminate his ninth rank priest. Each and every priest are given a bomb timer on their necklace. It works both way and the priest themselves know about it.

The blast radius is around two kilometers, doesn't matter whether it's the demon, monster or human. Any living being would disintegrate upon impact. It should be powerful enough to kill anyone that has tried to kill the priest.

The reason why he added the bomb?

That's something he won't let anyone know about it.

It doesn't matter who is opposing him, he has created his very own private army and would slowly make other living beings fight among each other before he will conquer the whole world.

The only problem is the fact that the Gwendal Kingdom has a way to defeat his priest that is supposed to be undefeatable. Nine knight and a priest is powerful enough to massacre the whole kingdom army. He is that proud of his army.

No matter, he needs someone powerful enough to be able to get inside the forest of death and find out what is exactly happening.

"Ren."

Upon calling his subordinate name, An ordinary looking man appeared out of nowhere. Ren, is his most trusted subordinate as he is one of the first person, that has supported him during his early days where he just starts off as an ordinary priest. But now, he has managed to take over the whole society and he is able to do anything and nobody is brave to question his authority.

The previous holy alliance is too weak, the priest they sent out is rarely able to complete their jobs as the amount of holy magical powers each of them has is too limited. They can't even maintain a proper holy barrier for at least a few days.

Thus he works around the matter and found a method. Body experimentation. Everyone that intend to work for him needs to undergo this procedure. He is able to know who and where each of his men is and any sign of betrayal can be easily be noticed and he or she would end up missing the next day.

None of the rest of the people around would ask as he would post names of people that are sent out to work on a board. Thus if he wants to kill anyone within his circle he can just post their names and other would just think that the individual has failed in their task.

He has spied on each kingdom by the use of the churches. The people that he has sent to work on other kingdom is those few that have failed to keep up to be inside his private army. There is no difference in strength for men or women. He is able to use both genders to their fullest.

Those that are too useless, he immediately converts them into slaves and be sent to any of the priests and priestess that has sexual desire or any kind of inhumane things they would like to do.

In just ten years upon taking over the holy alliance. He has strengthened both the trust and capability of the holy alliance. There are no failures whenever an important task came up until today.

"Ren, find out how he got defeated. Eliminate any witness."

Ren nods his head and disappeared in a flash.

The king of the Henson Kingdom frowns when the general that he had sent to settle the dispute between the holy alliance and the Gwendal Kingdom didn't come back. It's been two weeks since his general has departed.

He didn't expect it would take this long to just survey the area. He even gave the general a messenger bird so that even if anything happens he has a way to ask for reinforcement.

"Your Highness! The holy alliance is here."

"Bring them in."

"Right away your highness!"

The representative of the holy alliance slowly walks towards the king. He didn't give a bow and simply nod towards the king. That is how much arrogance the people of the Holy Alliance. The king hates this puny being, but no matter how much, he couldn't do anything as the holy alliance could as force his kingdom to be isolated from the rest of the kingdom.

He doubts anyone the Gwendal Kingdom could survive. As the food resources of the Gwendal Kingdom is mostly traded through them thus he can already see, chaos and people killing one another in order to eat and survive.

"It seems your general hasn't come back from the trip."

"... What do you guys want? Speak your intention."

"Ah… I'm just here to confirm whether your general is the one that killed my subordinate that's all."

"You're saying your priest loss in battle? Haa! Two weeks ago, you told me that your people are able to get things done and there aren't any failures at all. So what now?"

"It is believed that your general is the one that betrayed us instead."

"Such nonsense."

"Hmm? It's not nonsense if you want to see your kingdom fall into battle."

"Sigh…. Takashi does it."

"Huh? ERGHk!!!"

Takashi, the summon hero of the Henson Kingdom appeared out of nowhere and decapitate the representative.

"Highness, we need to constraint to bomb right now!"

"Magician!"

"Highness follow me, we need to get you to safety."

"FATHER! DEAR! OVER HERE!"

The princess and daughter of the king called out to them while she creates a portal. The necklace of the priest slowly being illuminated. One of the magicians took the necklace and flew up into the sky.

Meanwhile, upon the death of the representative, the rest of the crusader knight started their massacre. Many innocents were caught unprepared as they didn't expect the holy alliance themselves to attack their kingdom.

"Kyaaa!!"

The sound of the portal being opened.

Takashi, the king, and his daughter came out from the portal.

"Yo!"

"Y-Y-Yo…."

"Woah the king and your wife are here too!"

"...Hahaha…."

"Who is this?"

"This is Mike, the summoned hero from the Gwendal Kingdom."

"? Why did you bring us here Sena and how did you open up a portal?"

"Father, things are getting out of control, we need to stop the holy alliance. Thus I've decided we should save the Gwendal Kingdom and together we should work together to defeat them."

"....The Gwendal Kingdom? I don't even think that they can survive."

"They somehow or another survive."

"... How did you know?"

"Mike, tell father about the situation."

"Of course! Hahaha, before that come into my hot spring building."
