12 Emelia’s hatred

I was awakened by a blast sound. The ceiling on top of me started crumbling. I was so lucky that I could avoid it in the nick of time, mostly to the fact that I was already at the edge of the bed.

I roll out in the way as fast as I could. I hit the ground so hard. My back was hurting so much as there was already a few pebbles.

I ignored the pain as much as I could and forced myself to run out of the room.

"RAUL!!!"

I heard someone scream for my name, I tried to look back, but the whole room had collapsed.

Not the time to dilly-dallies, I drag myself along the corridor. Praying hard that I could avoid the stones that started to crumble all around me.

A loud roar and a sound of a breathing fire were heard.

Is… Is that a dragon!? Even though I was on the ground floor, I could even see the dragon because of how all the ceiling of the building already had holes in them. It was a freaking three-floor building. This totally shows how strong the dragon was.

I could even feel the heat from the fire. Luck was on my side as the building is made up of stone and I doubt it will catch fire. W-Woah! The stone is melting! G-Goddammit! That's got to be higher than one thousand two hundred Celsius.

While dragging myself and finding a window for me to run out, sounds of water splashing were heard. Finally, someone is… W-What the hell is that!

A creature that was producing the splash of water appeared and rushed at me. You got to be kidding me! A m*rphling from d*ta!? I can't take any chances now. Knowing this is only the ground floor, I throw myself out from the window.

The creature missed me by a breath of hair. I thought I had managed to run away.

The creature splashes itself on the window, and the liquid from the body pours down slowly tickling down towards me. This isn't the time to be looking at it!

M-My head is bleeding, as I run I felt a liquid slowly was coming down from my head. For a second there I thought that creature had caught on me but after swiping and taking a good look at it, I realized it was just blood.

Anyone! Is there anyone here to help? My stamina was dwelling, and I can't even stand straight due to the pain on my back that was still stinging, but upon turning my head back, the creature was nowhere in sight.

W-What? Did I escape? That can't be happening isn't? It might suddenly lunge at me from the ground, that's what happens to all the people that sigh in relieve thinking they get away from something.

As I was arguing to myself, a weak roar was heard it felt as if something has dropped from the sky. Damn, I felt as if there's an earthquake over here. One down huh… Now, where is that sh*tty liquid creature?

After waiting for a few seconds, I felt that the creature wasn't here anymore and slump to the ground. I was trying to catch my breath as I curse myself for being so naïve. Damn sleeping here is so dangerous! Why didn't anyone wake me up when there's a freaking dragon!??

Eyes… Oi, why are you failing me, w-wake up, oi! Hopefully, due to exhaustion, I fell asleep.

Seemingly natural, I woke up precisely five in the morning. It seems my body clock works fine even though I had fallen asleep late due to being nervous for the first time sleeping in the same room with someone that I love.

Looking at Raul who is currently sleeping with his bottom all covered. I have no idea why he does that. I asked him why and he told me that he is at war with something. As for me, I usually slept in the nude, but just for today, I wear my sleeping wear.

Even though it is embarrassing, I rather not let him see me in the nude again. N-No it's not that I hate b-but… What am I doing talking to myself?

I gave Raul a peck on his forehead, you lovely man, be good alright? Don't let that princess grab hold of you again. I will be back after training to have breakfast with you.

Sigh* Why can't it be like this every day? We should get married fast and… And… Kya!! Emelia! Get a hold of yourself! Slapping both of my cheeks, I got out and did my regular routine. Running around the castle as a warm-up.

After that sword training and finish it off with speed running from here to the mountain nearby and back.

My morning training went well until I almost finish my speed running. A tremendous roar was heard. A Darkorush!? A type of dragon that could fly as fast as fifteen click per second, and with how it's color is black. It usually attacked during the night.

What is it doing here during the day? The most dangerous about it is its fire breath that could melt a human within a range of five meters. It doesn't even need to touch, and the human could die within seconds near it.

Suddenly I felt that I would need to hurry, women intuition, don't ask too much. As I got closer to the castle wall, I saw the princess was fighting with the dragon. She could handle the dragon easily. I felt relief, phew, so my intuition has failed….

T-The dormitory! They are fighting near the dormitory!

It felt as if someone was crushing my heart, I can't seem to breathe. Ignoring my needless worries, I set out towards the dormitory as fast as I could.

B-But it was too late…

The princess manage to get a direct hit on the dragon, and it landed perfectly on top of m-my new room.

"RAUL!!!"

I shouted as loud as I could, but I can't do anything and see the part of the building collapsed in a blink of an eye. Is…Is this some kind of a joke!?

I finally found someone that I am willing to spend my whole life and he disappears in a blink of an eye and I could do nothing but stare at it?

Raul…. Raul… I directed my anger towards that b*tch and that f*cking dragon.

"Come you piece of sh*t. I won't kill you that easily!" As my tears kept pouring out from my eyes, I ran towards the dragon.

It seems that the princess had known what happen, she even looked like she was sorry about it. What's the point of feeling sorry now! You're next b*tch after I kill this lizard slowly.

I purposely missed the vital spot as I slash at it. The soldiers around me were celebrating seeing me arrived but after seeing my smile and laughter's they started to back away from the fight. I think I even lick the blood of the dragon that was spilled on my blade.

There isn't anyone fighting alongside with me, even the princess is way out in the back, showing an indifference face but her legs are shaking. The soldiers that I commanded even had frightened faces as if seeing a devil for the first time.

Devil! Yes, I would even be a devil if I could see Raul smiles again. For now, this thing would need to experience what my heart is experiencing right now.

It wasn't that long before I managed to bring down the dragon, it looks as if it was terrified of me even after death. If only he could speak something I could understand, he probably was shouting mercy! Mercy!

I turned towards the princess, she looks happy… What are you feeling satisfied with? You're next, b*tch!

I approach her slowly, step by step. The soldiers around gave way as quickly as they could. They wouldn't want me to direct my anger towards them. It was then I heard her voice.

"R-Raul… He is alive. I am currently healing him at the ward."

".... Serious? Are you serious!?"

"Y-Yeah… Apparently, he manages to struggle away to safety. He is currently sleeping due to exhaustion."

"Mm… And your highness…"

"…!!"

She looked frightened for a second there.

"Thanks."

I said my thanks and immediately ran towards Raul.

Purely because of that incident, I got a second nickname. The death laughter, probably because I was laughing while slicing the dragon bit by bit. They also didn't dare ever to insult or hurt my dear Raul.

This is the first time I felt that much hatred towards someone and something.

Upon entering the ward, an elemental water golem was currently healing Raul while he is sleeping in bed. Tears started pouring again out from my eyes again.

Darling, I almost lose you… I need to get stronger. Strong enough to not let my Raul gets hurt.

I pull a chair close to him, as I sat down, I kissed him on his lips. This isn't the time to hesitate. Life is fragile. If he had died there, I wouldn't even get to feel what a kiss felt like.

My tears even started to drip on his face.

Oh, he is waking up, but I didn't think his first words to come out was…

"F*ck! That m*rphling is back, Emelia RUN!"

The water golem was startled by his words and confusingly tilt its head towards Raul. For some reason, Raul thought that the golem is an enemy.

"Darling it's alright. The golem is an ally of ours."

"...…. Eh? Can you say that again?"

"Like I've said the golem."

"No the other word."

This man of mine, can't you at least worry about yourself other than trying to make me embarrassed again?

"D-D-Darling…"

"Yes, my dear? Oh, good morning, we should have breakfast together."

What good morning? It's already noon!

Sigh*
