~

For the first time in my life, I felt as if I am a criminal that invite innocent people for experiments. It's either they come in and somehow survive if I am correct or they will slowly be dying. In case you do not know, I am talking about illusion room where there's an unlimited supply of food furthermore I could even make huge shelters that do not need to take any kind of supplies.

I made everyone split into a few groups, and each of them is accompanied by the maids. It helps as they were obedient and didn't even complain went they were forced to wait. Sounds of hunger made them look very depressed.

I compliment the maids as even when they are also suffering they stood guard and look after everyone. After seeing everyone get into order, I told the maids to follow me one by one from there I hurried to the illusion room. The only bad thing I am that I probably would need to get inside the illusion room before them so that the only one that is given to show their desire would be me.

At the same time, when Aria came back, I told her to cook food for them. I am given an odd impression that if they aren't given real food periodically, they could completely disintegrate as soon as they step out from the illusion room. It scares me if I think about it.

Aria didn't ask the reason why and immediately correspond to the instruction. It kind of surprise me, her character is different from when she is all alone with me. She doesn't show the lazy expression anymore instead she looks determined as ever.

Made me question myself did I judge her too early? Though she is still as strict as ever when it comes to food. Wastage is a no go. It's funny how it looks how straight their order. They are following the orders given by my maid with much precision that if someone else sees this, they might think I am building an army.

I could, but the amount of supplies I have is close to none. I think I need to make money. Okay, let's go with making the greatest restaurant inside the illusion room. These refugees could be used by the waiter and the cashier. At the same time, I could easily summon or transfer anyone that I hate.

Time by time, I keep asking myself. Why didn't I get a system? It is much better, at least I could know my status and my title. Let's add one more goal, shall we? To meet someone that could read my status, hope that the person is not a hero and would find a way to kill me if he or she finds out that I could be the demon king.

It gets a little boring while I wait for all the refugees to get inside the illusion room. Thus, I made a chess board, it's stupid I know, but it seems that these people do not have any entertainment other than fighting, brothel, auction, and gambling.

I told one of the maids that weren't doing anything, the rules of the game. At the start, she doesn't look interested at all. Despite all my efforts of explaining, she just gave me a scary look and kept bowing for forgiveness as she couldn't understand it all.

"Let me try that."

"..? Eh?"

"W-What? I can't?"

"Why are you guys here?"

Looking at the two familiar people standing right in front of me. It is baron William and baroness Quincy, well I'll be shocked if you remember them. William was the one that started a fight with me as he is one of Eliza fans while Quincy was the one that tried to make me her master as she was interested in the crafts that I sell.

Which I don't think I should sell it anymore. I don't mind selling it, but the buyer would need to go on a series of instruction that waste so much time. I rather sell the swords that I've got. The more money I have, the more resources I could get for these new refugees in my orphanage.

Probably not going to be an orphanage anymore. Let's call it the ghost restaurant. I am not hoping much, but there's a high chance that all these refugees will die after living in here while eating the imaginary food.

"Ello? Are you there Raul?"

"Mr. Raul?"

"I'm sorry, what did you guys say?"

"Explain the rules of the game once more!"

Quincy's eyes are gleaming. She is truly interested in a game that I didn't think this cheerful tomboy would have liked. Meanwhile, William is giving me a wry smile, as he knew that Quincy couldn't stop once she is interested in something.

After I told her about the basic rules of the game, she couldn't wait to start and automatically place her first move. Honestly, I am not that good with this game. I just wanted to see whether I could make a random person to try out the game and who knows, it might make them addicted to it.

Though I can't believe that the people that I didn't meet for so long turn up just in time to give it a try.

"So… You guys hadn't told me when you reached here."

"Raul, it's your turn."

"…Alright, alright."

I moved one of my pawns forward and nodded to William to start his explanation.

"There's wasn't much to be said, to be honest, we were the ones that helped all of the refugees. They were living in my place temporarily, but my supplies were dwindling very fast. Thus we were finding a place that could accommodate all of them."

"And… How did it go?"

"Very bad, Hahahaha. It was embarrassing, the rest of the nobles doesn't even gave me face and ignore my petition. Some even..."

"Raul, you're next!"

"…"

I immediately make my move and glance at William for him to continue.

"Ah yes, basically we got kicked out. Quincy was the one that remembered about your orphanage that you have recently built."

"It's your fault huh?"

"What? I didn't think you are that heartless Raul!"

"In the first place, it is called an orphanage for a reason…"

"Well in the first place, you didn't register in any of the church."

"…. Huh? Sorry, what did you just say? Why do I need to register?"

"It's common sense to give away which gods you worship. From there, the churches will then make a trip down to your orphanage to see the conditions of your building and most importantly your character. Anyway, make your move."

"… Quincy, let's pause the game for a while. I can't multitask."

"Then we should stop having this conversation. You know where it is going right?"

"Sigh*… So you are telling me that even if I knew about this and came to any of the church, they won't let me register at all due to my aura right?"

"Raul, you are impressive! Now make your move."

"Sigh*…"

Is that the reason why Aria kept saying whether I am going to start to kidnapped children? Does she know about my aura then? Is that the reason why she is not afraid of me? Weird, she should have known that I was the demon king then. What's the difference between now and then?

We continued to play until all the refugees had managed to get inside the illusion room. From there I imagine a public housing for all the people that just came in. In an instant, a few blocks of houses appeared. Everyone was surprised including me, I was thinking of a few bungalow or terrace, but I didn't imagine that twelve story high buildings would appear.

There might be a slight problem. First and foremost, everyone is spooked by the sudden appearance of the buildings. Second, it could take such a long time before everyone can get inside the building. How many lifts …

"Raul, what's this? There are so many buttons."

"A lift on the outside? Woah that's new?"

"Hey, Raul! Tell me!"

"It is designed so that you will go to the corresponding floor when you press the number button."

"Hmm how about this."

Quincy presses a button, and in a split of a second, she disappeared.

I gave up on trying. I am bad with heights… Why can't they just make the normal small houses, or is it too much for me to handle?

"OIII!! RAUL! THERE ARE SO MANY HOUSES IN HERE! THIS IS SO COOL!"

"Quin! Are you alright? COME DOWN NOW!"

"…WAIT WILLIAM I NEED TO…"

"QUIN! I WON'T SAY IT AGAIN."

Quincy magically appeared at the ground floor.

"Boo Willy, a coward."

"Quin it's dangerous for you to be so high up."

"It's not dangerous though William."

"..Huh? You were looking very nervous though?"

"…. I fear height…"

"Haha Hahahaha! You heard that!?"

"He fears…"

"No! It means it is not dangerous at all!"

"Sigh* I design it for the refugee to stay there anyway."

"Really!? Can I stay?"

"… I don't recommend it."

"EEH?? Why!?"

"I will tell you in the next chapter…"

"…"
