29 Moving 3

Early the next morning the family of three got up to began preparing for the days work. Unlike Ling Xiao who did not need to go anywhere Ling Qin and Emilia still needed to go out for the day .

Emilia needed to go to work to finish up some procedures while Ling Qin still needed to go to school since today Was still a School day and they hadnt dropped all pretense yet.

Ling Qin also didnt need to stress about it much since Ling Xiao had already told him that he would come pick him up earlier so they could finish picking up all their resources. He could also make use of the time to say goodbye to his friends.

Once everyone had left Ling Xiao called Hawk .

"Hey captain how you doing?Havent heard from you in a While"

"Im fine" Ling Xiao replied

"So how Is being a husband and a father. Is it fun? Are you coping or have you finally came across a Mission you can't solve"Lin Zhou codename Hawk guffled quietly

"Yes its fun! No is not tiring and it is not a Mission . This is family ! You and the others should get married too Im sure you would enjoy being a husband too ."

"Eh boss im fine Im still too young for marriage" Lin Zhou cried out in alarm .

"It was just a Kind suggestion . Plus your twenty six this year you're not that young." Ling Xiao snorted

"Anyway back to important business. Have all the guys returned yet from their mission in J City ?" Ling Xiao asked

"Yes everyone has returned" Lin Zhou replied becoming serious .

"Good! How about it have all the materials I asked you to prepare ready ?"

"Mhm everything is ready we are now only waiting for the cars to finish modification and they will be delivered on Tuesday."Lin Zhou replied .

"What about the house ?"

"Modification are complete. Right Cap when are you coming over ? The issue with the Weapons is something you have to come handle personally . I cant get them to move that many weapons with my clearance alone."

Ling Xiao: "Dont worry Im coming there on sunday I'll deal with the rest myself ."

"OH your finaly Coming back" Lin Zhou said spiritedly. "Are you coming back alone or is the mistress and baby Qin coming along too."

"Everyone is coming. We are moving over that side on Sunday." Ling Xiao responded

"Eh boss you finally managed to convince the wife to follow you back ?" Lin Zhou said Suprssed

Ling Xiao was silent for a second before he replied "No Emilia got a job transfer to S city ."

Both men were quiet for a while.

"Captain ... All these things that you have been preparing ... What are they for exactly ? Is something about to happen?" Lin Zhou finally asked the question that had been on his mind for a while now .

Ling Xiao remained quiet

"Captain?... " Lin Zhou's voice came from the other side of the phone awakening Ling Xiao from his trance.

"Yaa . . . Something big will be coming . I'll explain everything to You guys when we meet on monday."

"Oh alright "Lin Zhou responded

"Well I've got to go" Ling Xiao Said

"Ive got some packing and things l need to wrap up over here first. I'LL see you on Monday! "

"Alright boss see you on Monday"

After the call Ling Xiao packed Some things and when he saw it was now eleven he got ready to go pick up Ling Qin

"So Ling Qin are you really moving away?" Blake asked ling Qin unhappily.

"Ya I am" Ling Qin replied softly

"But why I thought your dad was cool with staying over here. Why did he change his mind then?" Blake grumbled upset.

"He didn't change his mind... my mom got a job transfer to S City so we have to move." He replied "but don't be sad I'll come visit you often. S city is not far from here . I can come visit on a weekend or even the holidays" Ling Qin hurriedly reassured him choking a bit.

Ling Qin didn't know why but his heart felt sour and his eyes reddened a bit. He didn't know why but this was more painful than he thought. When it came to it he wasn't able to harden his heart. Separating again was painful. Even though it was not the first time it still hurt,maybe even more than the past since he knew that once they said goodbye this time it was forever. He didn't want to anymore

"Hey Blake why don't you guys move to S City too. Didn't your dad say there was a chance for development there?" Ling Qin asked hopefully.

Blake's eyes brightened at the thought but they dimmed as quickly.

"No its not possible anymore. My dad got another better offer here , and my mom is busy with her work. There's no way we are gonna move now. Maybe in a couple months" he responded sullen.

"Oh: Ling Qin sighed.

While the two were quiet in their own sadness another student ran to the tree they were sitting under.

"Hey Ling Qin, your dad's here to pick you up. Teacher Roy told me to come call you" Danny said after catching his breath.

"Oh thanks" Ling Qin responded quietly.

"Your leaving already" Blake asked .

"No I'm living Sunday morning it's just that there are some things I still need to do now so I have to go."

Blake :"ohh"  he said and then he lowered his head.

Ling Qin was silent before he asked "hey how about I take that offer of yours and come for a sleepover at your place later today?"

"Ehh sure" Blake agreed immediately

"Great then I'll see yoy later" then Ling Qin finally smiled a bit

"Alright and you better turn up"

"Alright I will. Bye!" Ling Qin waved at him before he ran of trying to make sure Blake didn't see his red eyes

Ling Xiao stood next to his car right outside the school gate. It wasnt long before he saw Ling Qin headed towards him . Just as he was about to greet him his sharp eyesight caught a glimpse of Ling Qins red eyes he was trying to hide .

He was Immediately able to understand that Ling Qin was crying before.

"Hey Qinqin You okay?" Ling Xiao asked his voice unknowingly softening a bit.

"Yeah im fine Ling Qin said reaching his hand for the door handle.

"Hey" Ling Xiao grabbed his arm and stopped him . "Qinqin whats wrong ? Did something happen? " Ling Xiao softened his voice as he asked worry overflowing his eyes.

"Yeah im fine " Ling Qin breathed In

"Hey didnt we agree that you can come to me for anything and that you can talk to me about anything . Come on baby Tell Daddy whats wrong" Ling Xiao continued asking patiently .

" Its just... Its just. Why do things have to change ! Everything is ok the way It is isn't it why does the end still have to come . This is our second life right? ! So why cant things just be normal . I dont want to live that life again. Why does it need to change!"

Ling Qin tried his hardest but he still couldnt help crying . He couldnt help but want to cry out all his grievances , those from the past and those for the future .

Ling Xiao didn't Know how to comfort the boy since the apocalypse was still coming whether they liked it or not .It wasnt something he could stop so he decided not to lie to the boy and give him false hope . All he could do was just to hold him and let him cry .

Sometimes crying was just what someone needed in order for them to feel better. Not all situations needed you to try and console them, Sometimes a shoulder to cry on was all they needed .

After a few minutes Ling Qin finally relaxed and stopped crying .

"Here" ling Xiao handed Ling Qin a tissue to wipe his tears.

"You okay now?" He asked him softly .

"Mhm . . hiccup . . Im fine"Ling Qin responded his voice a little raspy .

"Thats good " Ling Xiao breathed out

"Your shirt its dirty "Ling Qin whispered as his face turned red from embarrassment .

"Ehh" Ling Xiao looked down and saw that his shirt has now crumpled and dirty . "Dont worry I'll just change into another one. Come on lets go" Ling Xiao led him into the car .

"Mhm"

"Here have some" Ling Xiao handed him a Chocolate bar "Its your favourite flavour !"

"Thanks Dad " Ling Qin said after he took the chocolate . Both Ling Qin and Ling Xiao knowing that the thank you was not for the chocolate but for earlier .

" Dont worry about it, thats what im here for " Ling Xiao responded turning on the engine and driving towards the Warehouse.

"Hey dad ! " Ling Qin suddenly called out breaking the silence .

"yes kiddo" Ling Xiao asked eyes still on the road

"Can I go stay over at Blakes house today . I promised him I would." Ling Qin asked

"Ehh" Ling Xiao was taken aback for a moment before he responded. "Sure you can, after were done I'll take you over"

"Thank you" Ling Qin said

"Blake and you are really close aren't you?" Ling Xiao suddenly asked

"Mhm"  Ling Qin responded "he was my only friend in both this life and the last"

Ohh Ling Xiao seemed to realise why Ling Qin's emotions were so volatile earlier. It seems he didn't want to separate with his friend again.

"How about I find a way to get his family to move to S City as well?"

Ling Qin was silent for a while seemingly thinking about it. After what seemed to be a long battle he sighed and lowered his head.

"That won't be necessary. He will be  going to the capital in a couple of days to visit his paternal Grandparents. Their family lives in the military compound so he will be safe. It's best not to interfere."

Ling Xiao could tell that Ling Qin was not too happy so he decided not to say more on the topic. After a few minutes the duo arrived at the Warehouse .

Once they got inside they saw a large number of supplies gathered waiting for them. "Let's try to collect everything today. But if you really can't don't stress yourself.  I'll just have to get someone to collect them and send them to S city tomorrow."

"Ok" Ling Qin nodded

"Alright then let's get to work"

After four hours they finally finished and decided to head home. Ling Qin had supprisedly managed to collect everything into his space. Of course he had to take many breaks in between but he managed to collect everything and it seemed that after a break the amount of things he could collect would increase.

Ling Xiao figured that he just needed to collect more materials bit by bit and sooner or later his mind will already be used to the strain and he won't have a limit  on the quantity he could collect anymore.

"Alright let's head back now." Ling Xiao said looking at the empty storehouse.  Looking at its bare state one wouldn't believe that it was actually fully packed just a few hours ago.

"Alright then let's go."Ling Qin said turning around and heading towards the car.

Once the boys got home Ling Qin packed a simple bag of toiletries and headed back out.

"Are you sure I can go. Won't you need my help with packing" he asked his father.

"Eh don't worry about it its just packing some clothes and some miscellaneous items. I'll be fine. Plus your mom should be coming back soon to help me out."

"Ok then I'll get going" Ling Qin responded before he turned to head out.

"Are you sure you don't want me to take you" Ling Xiao asked from behind him.

"No thanks Blake's house is just around the corner"

"OK I'll come pick you up tomorrow afternoon then" Ling Xiao was silent for a second before he added. "Don't forget to have fun. Let me do the stressing from now on."

Ehh Ling Qin was taken aback before he broke into a smile. "Alright bye"

"Bye kid Ling Xiao said looking at his retreating figure. Once Ling Qin was out of sight Ling Xiao went back upstairs to continue packing somethings

As he was heading towards the room his cellphone suddenly rang

After looking at the caller a storm raged in Ling Xiao's eyes before he quickly calmed downed and answered

"Hello"
