3 Dropped

*GROWL*

Hola, mina-san. I just dropped into deep sh*t, okay, not literally, but yes, in trouble. If you're wondering how, well you probably didn't read the chapter that wasn't a chapter.

Right now, a pack of some sort of doggy is slowly crawling towards me, ready to tear me to pieces. Then, they will tear my corpse into more pieces, but not my problem after that. *sigh* I can't believe I will die like this, at the start of my story. I guess this story will be dropped.

I waited, and waited. Ok, holy hell. If you're going to tear me into pieces, do it quicker. I glanced at the doggies that were still slowly crawling over. What is there problem? There's a fresh piece of meat here doing nothing, yet they are crawling so slowly-

Wait? Could it be that they are still under the slow effect?! Oh hell, yes! Ahahaha! This is my chance! With them this slow, I can easily kill them!

With that thought in mind, I instantly activated Groudsplitter, leaping to the nearest dog. With a heavy thud, the ground ... barely cracked underneath me. So much for Groudsplitter. Now, with a swing of my sword, I shall sever this pitiful dog's head.

*Swish*

My arm swished through the air, holding empty air. The dog stares back at me, before growling at me, alive as ever.

Oh yea. I don't have actually have a f**king sword, and this guy was all about his heavy-a*s sword. I hurriedly leaped as far as I could back with my normal strength as the dog snapped its jaws close on empty air. Oh gosh that was close.

*sigh* I guess I can't kill anything today. Reality is not like those novels where you can simply find a broken pipe or wrench somewhere that you could use to wack a mole on apocalypse monsters. There are at most weak, broken branches laying around. Maybe a kitchen knife that is too short for comfort, but no guns lying around for "personal safety" nor normal, yet overpowered bat that never breaks no matter how long you wack with it.

Hence, the most logical choice is always: Time to bolt. No, I'm not a dog.

Then, I dashed off as quickly as I could through the small gaps between the dogs. Fortunately, they were still too slow to follow me. Phew~

After I ran a distance away, I reached a large factory-like building. I say factory-like because I believe that factories don't really exist anymore as you get everything off of online stores such as Amazon. Typical shut-in thinking, don't mind me. We all know they exist somewhere, just not here right? *cough*

Anyways, being inside there might be safer than out here, and I might even be able to find some tool that I can use for self-defense. Yea, probably not, but at least gotta hope for some sword dropping out of nowhere don't I? Oh boi am I glad I didn't get Layla for I would have had to find a gun, or even worst, a high-tech hand cannon. Yea. No. How come there isn't a freaking shop to buy these gear? What kind of lame system is this? Should have given me my babe Eudora if you're going to play me like this.

I kept complaining in my head as I looked for a way into the building. Although I found a chained door, even with my buffed strength, I still wasn't able to pull the chain apart. I probably need a sword to use Alucard's power fully. Alas, my status did not reflect this as it simply stated my stats were buffed, baiting me into thinking I was OP.

Fortunately, the buff was strong enough for me to pull myself up the ridges on the side of the building, and breaking through the hard, probably borosilicate glass. I swear I did not look up different types of glass in hopes of breaking into somewhere someday.

Climbing in, I slowly lowered myself to the ground of what seems to be a ramp walkway. It seems this building was a warehouse. How lucky. I didn't even know this existed near my house. As for where my house is, let's just say it's at a convenient spot for the convenient plot armor to have everything around me. Tsk- Tsk.

Although there are low chances for any sort of weapons, I hope there would at least be food. Oh what am I saying, this is a warehouse. They don't even have a fridge for food, and packaged food might not do me any good unless it's ready-to-eat. *sigh* Why is a real life apocalypse so much more harder than a novel's? Instead of worrying about monsters eating me or slaying monsters to become godly OP, I have to worry digging through a warehouse. At least I got the time-

*ARF ARF ARF*

Faint barking sounds resounded outside the warehouse. They gradually got louder and more intense as it seems a pack of dog had gathered outside the warehouse. No, not it seems, but they really did. With a peak out the window, I noticed the familiar pack of doggies gathering at one side of the warehouse. Well, can't expect them to have bad smell now can we. Stupid cliche apocalypse dogs that chase you like hunting hounds. At least they can't up here. There won't be BS that they can climb walls now would there? Probably not-

*BAM*

The ramp violently shook as one of the dogs rammed itself against the warehouse wall. Okay, there was that way too wasn't there? I'm glad the warehouse walls were thick and sturdy; however, I still noticed a fairly decent-sized crack on the wall. Of course, the dogs didn't give up as they all decided to bang themselves against the wall like idiots.

Okay, not good. I'm already afraid this ramp won't hold as the whole warehouse was shaking with many wall-side cardboard boxes toppling over. The cracks were slowly spreading all over the wall with small chunks already falling off. Fortunately, the wall still held as it was very thick, but it might not hold forever.

I wished those dogs would give up, but seeing how they are an angry bunch of idiots, probably not. Although I want to escape through the other side, I don't think I could outrun them anymore as I could see they are not slowed anymore.

I just hope there's something here that can help me. *sigh*

I used Groudsplitter to quickly leap down. Phew~ Although the warehouse was fairly large with the ramp up around a story high, as I expected, my legs didn't break from this height of jumping due to the ability. It was risky, but at most they would get injured, but now I know it won't even hurt when I use the ability. After Groundsplitter's cooldown ended, I hopped up the ramp walkway with the ability successfully. Then, without using the ability, I leapt down to a set of boxes that were stacked fairly high, about two-fifth of a story. Oh boi- although my legs didn't break, there was a fairly intense stress on it as I landed, breaking through a couple of boxes which broke my fall.

I guess I can only hop around like a monkey with my ability, but all I needed was to be able to jump up and down the ramp with my ability, which would be life-saving already. So, I was good to go.

As for if my legs really did break on these tests? Well, I would be dead either way if this didn't work, unless I find some godly weapon amongst these boxes; however, I now can at least avoid them for as long as I want if I played it right as Alucard's abilities doesn't use mana or energy. Just maybe, I could avoid them enough to get a sword-like weapon of some sort, assuming I could search while I hop around. Maybe I'll level up by then as well because albeit very slow, I noticed a very thin yellow bar atop of Alucard's character stat page that was slowly inching towards the right from the left over time. It might take a maybe 2 days max to get to level 2 with this passive experience, and with kills, this might be expedited.

As if signalling time was tight, tiny cracks were already appearing on multiple parts of the inside walls. I glanced at the messy boxes laid out all over the place. Time to start unboxing till I drop, and hope that my story doesn't get dropped due to the doggies barging in before I find something to kill them with.
