63 Posession

The block of ice caging Harry burst open causing a shower of little pieces of ice around him. The horns on his head were covered in crimson red veins which were pulsing sporadically. The black mist which had been covering him started swirling as if it was being sucked back into his body.

All the black mist was being sucked into his pores and the aura around his body was growing heavier, Kim and Arya could feel the intensity of the aura, they felt a stiffening feeling in their chests as if a heavy rock was pressed upon their bodies.

"I'm surprised that this body could withstand a devil's transformation, even though it's the lowest kind it still is a feat for such a fragile body to handle such power." A Surprisingly pleasant-sounding sound came from Harry's mouth. The voice sounded alien and filled with an unexplainable sense of power and enchantment.

"Harry?" Kim's Surprised voice came from behind Arya. She seemed confused and terrified at the same time.

"Oh," Harry turned his gaze onto Kim, his intense crimson eyes sending shivers up her spine.

"Harry isn't available right now, I'm currently in control of his body. By the way thanks for your help in freezing him at the right time stopping him from going berserk. You helped me gain quite a useful asset in this world." Harry or the entity who had taken over his body said in a calm tone as he gazed at Arya with an intrigued look on his face.

"A mana body is quite rare in such parts of the universe. I'd take her with me but sadly there's an aura of another Powerful entity on both their bodies, I'd rather not mess with such an entity this early when I don't even have a single Avatar in this world." The entity muttered under his breath.

"Don't try anything, your measly power can't even touch me" The entity warned in the same calm tone as before.

Arya paused, she had been collecting mana inside her body for a strong attack but looking at the state of thing right now attacking might not be the best way to deal with it.

"What do you want from Harry?" Arya asked directly as she indicated Kim with her eyes to let her fish this entity for information while she brainstorms a way to deal with this.

"What I want doesn't matter right now. What really matters is what Harry wants. I have seen all his memories and I kind of get why he did something as foolish as eating a mana jewel and that to a jewel which has been corrupted by a Devil's blood." The entity took a pause for a moment as if realizing something.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself…. I'm Melodio a devil from the Keith family of Archdevils." The entity controlling Harry's body gave a small bow.

"As we were discussing before, I have given Harry two choices. One, become my servant and become a devil under me. It would give him a path to supremacy and lead him to achieve things a human can't even dream of. Protecting his family and you people would be a piece of cake if he becomes a devil. Or remain as a hybrid between a human and a devil and work under me for a year and after one year he can leave, no strings attached. Of course, there is also the option of rejecting both the choices which would directly lead to his death by the devil's blood in him boiling him from the inside as I stop keeping it at bay." The Melodio gave them a slight smile as it controlled Harry's body to form a shushing motion with a finger in his lips.

"Shhhhh… let him choose first then you can talk"

A dense aura burst from Harry's body covering them entirely. That aura made them give up on any thoughts of attacking as they could feel that attacking him would only lead to their deaths.

"What should we do?" Kim asked with a worried look on her face. Both of them knew that attacking Melodio was futile and doing nothing would lead Harry to be taken away by this devil.

"Let's wait and see what Harry chooses," Array said with a stiff look on her face as even she was at her wit's end at what to do next.

They waited for a few minutes as they kept staring at Harry to look for any other changes.

Soon a wide smile boomed on Harry's face.

"Good choice Harry, I'll let you have five minutes with your friends before we depart."

Soon harry fell down as if the strings holding his body afloat were cut down. He kneeled on the ground and puked huge globs of black colored blood.

Sensing that the aura covering them had vanished and it seemed that Melodio had left Harry's body, they rushed towards the kneeling Harry.

"Harry are you alright?" Arya asked as she saw him stop puking.

"As fine as I can be right now" Harry Replied with a grimace.

*Smack

A sharp slapping sound came as Kim slapped Harry in the face with enough force to smash him to the ground.

"I feel like blowing your head off right now for doing something like this. You not only risked your own life but also of everyone else in the team. Leave that, did you for once think what would happen if you become a zombie? What about your parents? What about Jason?"

Kim raged on with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry," Harry said with an extremely guilty look on his face.

"I know a sorry can't right the wrong. I was not in the right phase of my mind when I ate that mana bead. I really am shit for brains for doing it but now that I have done it I should face the consequences of my choices. I'll Have to grow strong enough to protect your people and that I never have to do something like this again." Harry said with and determined look on his face.

"Are you dumb?" Kim asked with an irked look on her face.

"Being strong enough is good and all that but does it really matter if you can't even be with your own people?"

"What choice did you make? Don't tell me you chose the first option." Arya interrupted in between.
