2 Awakening
The face that looked back at me was gaunt my cheeks hollow like my very flesh had melted and shrunk I no longer looked like I had before but I also wasn't a zombie unless I was the rare special type of zombie but I didn't have any zombie traits infact I just looked like I'd not eaten in a month and hadn't seen the sun either so I checked my wounded hand and it was completely healed. I had survived the plague I was glad but I looked like I was a stick figure I needed to eat something and now so I dug out everything I had left for food a single can of baked beans and a pack of chips and a couple cookies that were stale but edible and I ate it all.
I hit up every apartment in my building that I could and cleaned them out food wise like some kind of bottomless food pit and by the time I had finished clearing out the last apartment I received a notification. The notification read 'due to hosts dedication and overwhelming completion of the first hidden milestone host received the following rewards: race change : Arcane elf - by pleasing the deities your reward has been maximized you are now an Arcane Elf - Arcane elves have the highest capacity for magic particularly arcane magic in a living being + 40% arcane potential +25% general magic potential : passive bonus for completing a hidden objective by 35 times the mission requirement: mana core: large mana core- a powerful boost to any spell casters power grants +25% mana regeneration +25% mana capacity : bonus for completing a hidden objective by 3 times requirement: 3 Divine boons granted.
I was sitting there completely stunned apparently I wasn't mislead and had done some serious work getting my objectives completed and now it was asking me to pick my divine boons which was quite a list including items enchantments and unique abilities but I honestly only found a few that truly stood out one was demigod body - grants the body of a demigod to the recipient- demigod body grants +5% to all physical stats +5% to all resistance stats and +5% resistance to damage I was hooked on that one honestly I was always after passive abilities so this one was right up my ally and after I took it it didn't disappear it just changed to demigod body 2 with all of the bonuses doubled so I took the second one and looked for a different boon to take as 10% bonus for every physical stat really included EVERY physical stat and I feared I might rival a horse at the third level if you know what I mean.
In the end I put my last boon in Arcane lore hoping that it would give me some good insight into my new arcane potential that and I was starting to look like a body builder on steroids so basically Hercules not a terrible look but there's a limit to how far my clothes could stretch.
My stats as they are now not including my base stats +40%arcane potential +25% magic potential +10% physical stats +10% damage mitigation +25% mana regeneration +25% mana capacity.

Yeah I'm no god but considering the boosts I received it was fairly significant I'd say though people who were in better physical shape before would probably have higher health than I do now I felt that I was doing pretty decent for a gamer nerd though why the stats were so low I just had to chalk up to being low level as my level rank was just 1. It was time to explore my arcane potential so I started searching for my last boons knowledge on my mind and up it popped after some mental digging. Arcane magic well my boon gave me just enough knowledge to figure out how to cast the most basic of arcane spells arcane bolt it shoots a bolt of raw arcane energy at a target I also learned the arcane blast spell basically an arcane bolt that explodes on impact like a fireball very useful.
I found out that the path of arcane magic is extremely rare and powerful however it is relatively unexplored simply because few ever achieve gaining the path most people on earth had done a little better than the minimum and unlocked the lowest paths of magic the mind though limited the mind path can be a great battle magic because it's as quick as a thought.
