2 Lilian

Within the huge wall was a small town and in there was where Lilian lived, she had just celebrated her 12th birthday. Lilian, even though still young, was a girl with stunning beauty. She had long black hair, pale skin and crimson eyes which was a unique aspect of her.

Lilian was still getting used to her new life, after all she was not from this world, though she looked like any other kid. She was a 22-year-old college student who worked to pay for her own college, but died of fatigue from overworking and woke up in someone else's body in a different world.

The body Lilian was in was only 8 years old at the time she transmitted, her parents had left the wall to level up and never returned, since then her neighbors had been taking care of her for the past 4 years while Lilian researched more about this world whenever she had the opportunity.

When she discovered that she was in a world similar to the ones she had seen in movies and in series in her past life, she was stunned, and the most amazing thing about it was that magic existed. The world was very similar to her old one, but the technology here was almost non-existent as all the people used magic for their tasks.

Lilian had heard the stories of this world, told by the elders, and they told her the reason for the wall.

The reason was the same as she imagined, zombies, but they were not normal zombies, some had mutations, were deformed and could also evolve, and the worst of it was not even that, there were intelligent zombies that were usually powerful humans or intelligent creatures, but the only thing they could feel was hunger, an unimaginable hunger that led them to tirelessly search for ways to satiate it.

Now that Lilian had turned 12 she was looking at the Helaisa System that appeared to her.

"Alright let's see the job options", Lilian said as she looked through the different jobs.

"What the hell is blood magic? I've never heard of that kind of magic", asked Lilian.

A magic in which the mage can control all the blood around him and shape it anyway he wants.

"Wow, that's really interesting, I can't wait to see what I can do with this magic", Lilian muttered.

While Lilian was engrossed in her System, a tall bald man with a scar over his eye came towards her, "Are you Lilian?", the man asked.

"Yes it's me. You must be the guide...correct?", said Lilian.

"Exactly, I imagine you have already selected your job and are ready to go", said the man.

"Yes I have selected the job, beginner mage", said Lilian.

"Oh! A mage that is really very good, we are in short supply of mages in the city it will come in very handily in case of an invasion!", said the man surprised when Lilian revealed herself to be a mage, as it was quite rare for anyone to risk becoming a mage, the reason is simple if you were a mage and got surrounded you might not be able to survive.

"Well my name is Keito, and I'm going to guide you and these others outside the wall to better understand how it works!" said Keito as he pointed to the group behind him, they were mostly children the same age as Lilian and all of them were using spears, swords or axes.

"Pleasure, my name is Lilian and I am a beginner mage", said Lilian as she followed the group towards the gate.

"She's a mage? She's crazy!";

"She must not know how dangerous it is to be a mage, mom says mages are very vulnerable outside the wall.";

"Of course they are, some zombies can only be killed by hitting them right on the head, and with magic it is very difficult to aim and hit them", some of the children whispered to each other.

After a few minutes of walking Lilian spotted a large gate and some guards.

"Hey Keito, are these the new kids with the System?", a guard asked.

"Yes, I'm going to take them to meet the outside," said Keito.

"All right, but be careful, don't stray from the group, children... outside is not a place where you can walk alone", warned the guard and the children nodded.

Arriving outside, the atmosphere was completely different, you could see a forest ahead with a macabre appearance. It seemed as if the trees could come out at any moment and start walking, all the children swallowed dry when they saw that.

"If I could, I would never choose to bring you here, but as the future people which are protecting our city you need to know how things work and train your skills, I know that all of you since you were very young have been training with your swords, spears and so on, but thats in practice here things are completely different, so be very careful!", He had been doing this job for some time and had seen children die or get lost from the group.

Then together with Keito, Lilian and the other children entered the forest.
