Just then the door of the room was pushed open.
The door to the control room creaked open, and Jake stepped inside, followed by Su Jiyai.
Jake's gaze flicked over the general, his expression unreadable.
His mind was racing, trying to process everything they had just learned.
Besides the general's limp body, instead of the satellite phone the general had believed he was holding, there was a crumpled piece of bread.
It lay in his hand like a cruel mockery of his desperation.
Su Jiyai's lips curled into a slight, satisfied smile as she surveyed the scene. She turned to
Jake, her voice low. "Looks like your plan worked."
Jake's eyes, however, were still clouded with uncertainty. "We didn't get everything," he said, his tone somber.
"The general didn't reveal what I was... before. There's something about my past he's still hiding."
Su Jiyai nodded, her gaze drifting back to General Yi.
