"Why did you hide your abilities, Xiao Mei?" Guo Zhongcheng asked.

After chatting about life in the living room, everyone scattered and did the things they wanted to do and Guo Zhongcheng, Zhongcheng Qingren, and her Shadows followed her inside her room.

Hua Meili sat on her bed reading her "Talismans for Beginner Master" book as she also listened to her friends' questions.

Before answering their questions, she took a sip of tea.

"Well, like you, I am also wary of the others. I could not trust them easily, mostly that woman. I know she's no good and will only be trouble in the future so make sure to stay away from her."

Hua Meili looked at the two of them and then looked back to her book to study. She needed to advance her Talisman to a whole new level!

"So, you are pretending to be a sheep to eat the tiger?"

Zhongcheng Qingren deduce, he looked at her with understanding in his eyes.

"Exactly! Pretending to be weak and bidding time can rip many benefits. And by the way, don't show all your ability in front of them for now. Let them think you're weak and see if their attitude is still the same or not."

Hua Meili took a quick glance at them before she put her attention back on her book, again.

"We understand." Both of them said.

After talking for a while, they went out of her room and closed the door behind them silently.

She finally had her peace when the two went out.

Reading her book peacefully, the door once again opened and Jin Hua went in.

"Gege!"

Hua Meili was surprised when she saw Jin Hua go in, quickly putting her book down on top of her bedside table.

"Mei, sorry for disturbing you."

Jin Hua nervously sat on the opposite side of her bed, just across from her, he stared at her and seemed hesitant about something.

"No, it's okay. You're not disturbing me at all. So, do you need something?" Hua Meili asked.

She was curious why Jin Hua decided to visit her and he seems fidgety. Like a kid who had done something bad and was caught red-handed.

"Uhm.. I just wanted to tell you something."

Jin Hua looked at Hua Meili not knowing if he should say what is on his mind or not.

Seemingly steeling himself, he continued.

"It's been weighing on my mind now. When I thought that I would die that time when the Apocalypse struck, I had another thought other than surviving."

He stop and bit his lips as if to stop some sort of emotions he was unable to hold back before he decided to continue.

He looked at her with deep complicated eyes as if he was trying to imbed her appearance inside his mind. Even her soul could not help but get tugged in while looking at those deep eyes.

"One of my deepest regrets is being unable to be there with you when you needed me the most, I regret that I did not care for you enough and was always busy. I kept on leaving you alone all by yourself in this big mansion. I'm sorry for not always being there for you.... I am really sorry."

Jin looked her in the eyes with deep regret and affection. She could see that he truly regrets his actions and really loved the original but it was already too late, she had already replaced her.

Even if she didn't, the original will still die as she waits for Jin Hua to return home. Until death eventually finds her.

Seeing his sorrowful expression filled with regret, her mouth opened up without her permission.

"Brother, I do not blame you."

A melancholic soft voice came out of Hua Meili's mouth as she smiled at him full of longing.

There was not even a hint of blame that could be seen on her face.

She just smiled at him, smiled at him gently.

Gently as possible.

But behind her gentleness, there seemed to be an air of great desolateness that people could not help but want to cry.

"I know that you were trying your best for us. Since mom and dad left us, you are like a second parent to me. You shouldered all the responsibilities and also took care of me, you did not leave me be. Even though you are busy, you always remember my birthday and send me presents even on Christmas you gave me presents without fail in these past 7 years. I know that you are very busy but you still took care of me despite all of this. I could still remember that one time when I got sick, you canceled all your appointments even though it was a very important meeting. For me, you left everything behind just so you can take care of me."

Hua Meili's eyes turned red as she tried her best to not let the tears fall from her eyes.

She does not want to cry.

She does not want to let him see her cry.

"Stupid brother, you even stayed up all night taking care of me. Did you think that I didn't know it was you the whole time? Thank you, by the way, I never got the chance to tell you that. I never blamed you or anything, for not being always there for me. And I also have one regret left in my life, it's about not being able to say these words to you. Gege always remember, that Mei'er loves you very much and you are the best brother I could ever have."

With that, the tears that she kept at bay finally fell.

The tears blurred her vision but the smile she had on her face was bright.

Hua Meili who had been watching the scene in front of her like a bystander could feel the intense emotion of the original Hua Meili.

She could feel that all the things that she said were really what she had inside her heart. There was not a one-bit hint of blame inside of her, only sadness and happiness.

She is sad because she is leaving and she is happy because finally before she left, she was able to tell him what she truly felt.

She does not blame him.

Never had she blamed him. Not even once.

Taking over her body once again, the original Hua Meili hug her brother tightly before she finally left peacefully.

But before she left, Hua Meili heard her say "Thank you.." before she disappeared and perhaps reincarnated and have a happy life that she did not have the chance to have in this lifetime.

So now, the body is officially hers, Hua Meili.

The Original Hua Meili can no longer affect her since she had already left the body to her and reincarnated.

Jin Hua hugged her back and buried his face in the crook of her neck. They stayed like this for a while before Jin Hua decided to reluctantly withdraw his claws away.

"Are you feeling better, Gege?"

Hua Meili warmly smiled at him. She could not help but smile deeper seeing how the other was so reluctant to part with her.

"Yes, thank you for your time. Now that I was able to finally confess these feelings that had bothered me very much, I feel a little light-hearted now. Thanks, Mei."

Jin Hua pats her head.

Seeing how she was smiling so brightly, he also broke into a grin.

"Hehehe... Your welcome Gege."

Hua Meili flashed a cute smile at him.

Seeing how cute his lil sis is, an arrow struck his heart, he jokingly made a pained face and touch his chest where his heart was playfully.

"Silly Gege!"

Hua Meili playfully punches his chest seeing him being so playful.

But because of her strength as a Phase 2, even though it was light it still hurt.

"Ouch!"

Jin Hua made a really pained face this time and Hua Meili just laugh it off, how unlucky!

Finally confessing how they really felt about each other, the two were no longer awkward and even made casual jokes teasing each other before laughing like a maniac the minute after.

They spend the rest of the afternoon chatting together before finally going downstairs for dinner.

"Come on, let's head downstairs Jin ge."

"Alright, let's go. I'm starving!"
