17 CHAPTER 17

Alex took rest for some time and without delaying he left the base and went to the MSZ-5 so that he can kill the monster before it attacks MSZ-4. Before coming he learned more about the base MSZ-5. It was basically a base mainly used for research and it was perfect for Alex. Alex needed a base so that he can recruit Sam in his team and with Sam's engineering skills they can develop the crystal to electricity system (CES) much faster. Alex went to the base quietly by walking and killing zombies on the way and collecting crystals. Till now he have more than 2500 zombie crystals after using Duplication and Multiply and 10 stage-1 monster cores. Alex used all the other monster cores. The Duplication and Multiply skills didn't always work on Monster and Demon cores or crystals. So he had few of them and also the number and stage of the monsters he fought were also less. Soon Alex reached the base and went inside. After collecting few more zombie crystals he heard the monster sound of breathing. Alex's heart began to beat faster and rather than being fearful he felt exited. He held his both guns in both hands tightly and wore the thermal goggles and threw three smoke bombs. Soon the whole area was covered in smoke and the moster became puzzled as it couldn't see anything. Alex then sprayed perfumes in the air to hid his scent. The monster roared and tried to escape the smoke. Alex began to shoot non-stop and changed his position timely so that the monster can't locate him in the smoke. After sometime the smoke disappeared and Alex already hit the monster's joints and injured it. Then Alex threw the guns in the ground and charged towards the monster and quickly dodged it's attacks and punched it. Alex began to attack it and dodged it's attack but still he got hit once and flew up and fell far in the ground. Alex quickly got up and after few minutes he killed it. Alex took out its monster core and stored it.
