48 The Biggest Poison Lies within the Police Station

"I want to ask, who is the umbrella behind your company?" Although it was already the end of the world, Georgia still harbored deep feelings about this matter. She wanted to get some clarity.

Upon hearing this, Dexter knew Georgia would ask about this.

He hurriedly replied, "Captain Georgia, the umbrella behind us is actually the chief of your police station!

His son, Jacques, is my sworn brother! Now you understand, right?"

Georgia suddenly realized.

No wonder she couldn't bring down Weyland Financial Corporation.

Their protection was none other than her own superior.

Thinking about how hard she had been working, it was truly laughable.

She had always been thinking about eradicating evil for the people, but she hadn't realized that the biggest poison lay within the police station.

Lost in her thoughts, Georgia was brought back by Dexter's eager gaze. "Big brother, I've done what I should. Can you let me go now?"

Dylan withdrew the knife, smiling.

 "Alright, you're free to go."

As Georgia was about to stop Dylan from letting the tiger back to the mountain, she saw Dexter and his men suddenly collapsing to the ground.

Georgia, puzzled, rushed over to check each one, only to find that they were all dead.

She glanced at Dylan suspiciously, not understanding how he had managed to make this group of people drop dead in an instant.

Could it be related to the time energy in their arms? Despite her doubts, she didn't ask Dylan.

Because now, she was more concerned about another issue.

"Did you see Jacques? I want to slaughter that scumbag myself!" Georgia asked Dylan as she approached him.

Dylan shrugged, smiling. "I don't know! He might have seen the situation wasn't good and ran away!"

Georgia, furious, declared, "Wherever he's gone, as long as I find him, I'll personally slaughter him!"

Dylan chuckled and ignored Georgia. He collected the crystals and ordered his men to clear away the bodies.

He glanced at the five vans parked outside and opened the door of one. Inside were all sorts of supplies.

Dylan smiled happily. It was like having resources delivered right to their doorstep.

"Who can drive?" With so many vans, Dylan couldn't drive them all back and forth himself.

"I can!"

"I can too!"

"I also know how!"

Dorothy, Georgia, and Kimberley raised their hands.

With only the three of them able to drive, plus Dylan, there were four in total. Dylan sighed, realizing he would have to make an extra trip.

It seemed like he would have to train Alberta and Jodie to drive in their spare time.

Even in the apocalypse, female drivers should be given a chance to showcase their skills.

"Alright, help me drive these vans back to my villa's yard!"

"Okay!"

Leaving Alberta and the others behind to watch over, Dylan and the rest drove the four vans back to the villa.

Then, they returned to take the last van. Leaving Garrett alone to guard, Dylan took Kimberley to help unload the cargo. As Kimberley carried the goods into Dylan's villa, she was amazed.

She hadn't expected Dylan's villa to be so warm, with lights on and everything seemingly unchanged from before the disaster.

Especially after unloading the goods, Dylan even asked her to wash her hands.

Even the water was warm. Kimberley immediately thought that if there was hot water, then they must be able to take a shower.

Since the disaster struck, she hadn't had a chance to bathe.

It was just too cold. In case she got sick, without medicine, she might easily die.

But in this villa, there was no need to worry about any of this.

Kimberley was envious; she really wanted to take a hot shower.

However, she knew she didn't deserve such treatment.

"What's wrong, Kimberley? Why are you standing there?" Alberta saw Kimberley standing in front of the sink, lost in thought, and approached to ask.

"Oh, nothing," Kimberley snapped out of her reverie.

Seeing how troubled Kimberley looked, Alberta became curious and decided to eavesdrop on her thoughts.

[I really want to take a bath, but I don't deserve it!]Alberta was stunned to hear Kimberley's thoughts.

While she could take a hot shower every day, for Kimberley, it was a luxury.

Feeling sympathetic, Alberta pretended to sniff Kimberley's body.

"Oh dear, Kimberley, you've sweated a lot and you're starting to smell. Why don't you take a bath here?"

Kimberley was taken aback, feeling pleasantly surprised. "Can I really?"

She glanced at Dylan in the living room, knowing that his word was final.

Alberta smiled, understanding Kimberley's concern.

"Dylan, Kimberley has sweated a lot. Can she take a bath here?"

Dylan looked over and saw Kimberley eagerly awaiting his response.

Considering her good performance these past two days and the effort she put in, it wouldn't be excessive to let her take a bath here.

"Sure, I'll get her a set of new clothes to change into later."

Upon hearing Dylan's permission, Kimberley was about to jump for joy.

Finally, she could take a bath.

Oh, right, his name is Dylan. She didn't even know his name before.

Dylan... Dylan... That's a nice name.

Kimberley finally took her first hot bath since the apocalypse arrived.

Meanwhile, while Kimberley was bathing, Dylan got her a set of thick training clothes and prepared a box of food for her.

When Kimberley finished her bath and changed into new clothes, ready to return to the guardhouse, Dylan handed her the food.

"Take this and share it with Garrett."

Kimberley took the box, feeling its weight, indicating that it was filled with quite a lot of things.

She looked at Dylan, her eyes moistening. She was so excited that she didn't know what to say.

She just bowed deeply to Dylan and then left the villa.

When she got further away from the villa, Kimberley began to cry.

She knew she didn't deserve to live in Dylan's villa.

But Dylan and the others still treated her well.Kimberley had initially felt that Dylan was aloof and somewhat ruthless.

But now, it seemed that he wasn't so cold-hearted after all.

These people were all pretty good.

Kimberley silently vowed to become stronger and to prove herself worthy of being among them.

At this moment, she found new motivation for the future.

Outside, the wind howled, and the snow had turned into a blizzard.

Although it was still noon, it was impossible to go out again.

Anyway, they had harvested a lot today.

Dylan decided not to go down the mountain and to rest at home for the day.

Dorothy cooked a pot of braised pork and steamed some rice for lunch.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone sat on the sofa in the living room to rest.

Georgia still seemed troubled, indicating that she hadn't gotten over killing Jacques.

At this moment, Alberta walked up to Dylan and reached out her hand.

"Didn't you promise to give us each a set of yoga outfits? Hand them over!"

Dylan's eyes lit up, and he smiled, asking, "What's this? Are you all going to start practicing yoga?"

"Yeah, since we have nothing to do this afternoon, let Dorothy teach us. We've been eating a lot lately and starting to gain some weight," Alberta replied.

Dylan was happy to oblige;

he had been wanting to see them in yoga outfits for a while.

He ran to his room and carefully selected several yoga outfits from the space.

"Hmm, black looks good. Black gives the best vibe. And nude-colored ones are nice too, almost like not wearing anything. Pink is good too, so tender!"

Dylan took out several sets of yoga outfits and gave them to Alberta and the others.

Seeing Georgia looking downcast, Alberta walked over and pulled her up.

"Come on, Georgia, stop moping around. Let's exercise together!"

"But... I don't know how to do yoga. I usually do fitness and combat training!"

"Dorothy knows. Let her teach us! Besides, you know combat training; you can teach us that too.

Apart from having stronger bodies, we don't have much else!"

Georgia waved her hand hurriedly. "I dare not teach you; each of you is much better than me."

"Oh, we just have brute strength. If you had as much time energy as we do, you'd be fine."
