4 “L’enfer c’est les autres”
I finally regained control of my body as I awoke. Surprisingly I was lying in my comfy bead, inside my room which made think that I just passed out there and had a long weird dream. This idea got quickly dismissed when i just willed to see my personal details and, *pop*my stat window just appeared again.
*better take this seriously*
I stood up and opened the curtains so see that it was early morning. From my window I could see stray chickens peck by the side of the road and a few late night shifters driving back home. This provided but a short distraction from everything that happened, a shower would probably help. I then moved toward the bathroom with my mind still preoccupied.
There were still a lot of unanswered questions, like what is that supposed 'event that will flip the world you know on its head in a matter of seconds'? Seriously is this Dangaronpa???!!! And I still don't know why Kishi came to me... Probably because I'm a genius hehehe. I could see my vain grin reflecting in the mirror as I stood in front of it. I didn't change yet. Still the same haircut (low buzz cut), the same ink black eyes, medium sized nose and somewhat thick lips. My trademark beard was still in place as well.
I took a peek at my little friend... maybe he grew a bit? *Nope* nothing changed.
« Well we haven't done anything yet anyway » I thought as I reached my hand out to grab the tube of liquid soap. To my surprise, it moved on its own and fell into my hand.... just like that.

Ahhhh.... whatever. I won't be surprised anymore. I would get more answers in two days. Better lay low and explore my new ability. Taking it in strides is the way to do it, but that ability could come in handy.
I then went on showering, got changed into a new set of clothes ( not white this time) and went downstairs to have breakfast.
I could hear some 'Trap' music coming from the living room... i didn't need to think before knowing that it was probably Louis watching TV. That means he is alright*sigh*. knowing didn't stop my heart from beating a bit faster in anticipation as I rushed down the stairs towards the living room.
I stepped in to see a perfectly fine Louis facing the TV with a perplexed look. He turned to me with disgust painted on his face and said : "I can't believe I was into this shit". He was pointing at a video of CB and Triga titled 'Loyal Hoes', it think it was about how they like to spray water in the garden with their favorite water hoes or something...I'm not sure. What I am sure of, is that this was Louis' favorite song. Something was off... right?
Ankh: "You fine bro? When did you wake up?" I asked conservatively. What matters now was to make sure He was okay.
Louis: "oh that? It sure was something to be slapped by that damn door twice in a day I tell you. But I'm a brick myself so I got up not long after. You on the other hand were K.O for so long I had to drag you back here. I didn't realize you were my sister ahahah."
The jab at the end reassured me. Louis is only Louis when he banters. For a minute the relief made me forget about the details and I moved on to a more pressing matter: FOOD!!!
Ankh: "what are we eating for breakfast ?" i said while going into our American style kitchen. The living quarters were designed into an L. The long branch (|) contained the living room at the far end, and the dining room closer to the kitchen. The kitchen took all of the small branch (_) the metallic counter would have blocked the access to the kitchen if not for the 'Saloon' style entrance in the middle. This is where we usually took breakfast and where I was going to. The morning light penetrate the house through the glass doors that facing the south along the living quarters, to ensure great lighting at all time of the day. It might not be much but i appreciated the moment.
Louis: "you're the chef, do your thing". he said as he turned off the TV and picked up a notebook and a pen on his way to the kitchen counter. He sat down and started writing something in his note book.
Ankh: "what quality of life! You think I'm your maid or something? I still didn't see any paycheck. Hmmpf I'll cook what I want then scrambled eggs and cheese. Let's load up some beacon as well" I said getting busy in the kitchen.
Louis: "aye aye, but keep my portion of beacon raw please and don't give me too much eggs, I have a small stomach now."
He said without looking up. If he did, he would have seen me starring at him suspicion apparent in my eyes.
Ankh: "what do you mean by 'I have a small stomach....now?' Are starting a diet or something ?"
Louis: "yeah I took resolutions. There things I need to do...not just eating less"
Ankh: "oh oh. You got me interested. Is it s new girl?"
Louis: "well... you could say that..."
Ankh:"Alright I won't pry. Just make sure to take care of yourself. You can always talk to me if there is anything okay?
Louis:"yeah yeah, I know"
Throughout the exchange, I didn't stop cooking and Louis never raised his head from his scribbling in the notebook.
Silence followed like this, until I was done playing the food. I put Louis portion next to him, on his side of the counter bowing solemnly and saying in a professional manner : « petits œufs brouillés du chef sur carpaccio de beacon! •».
Louis: "how about some French toasts?"
Ankh:"how about you French kiss my D! They are both French, you won't taste the difference ahaha."
Louis wasn't fazed by my counter attack, He looked at me with a sneering smile and unleashed : « so much passion for egg and bacon, sigh, one would wish you were that attentive to your girlfriends ».
.... I had no come back to that....
After a victorious nod, He put aside his notebook and started eating, I followed suit.
Halfway through his plate, he still hadn't touched the eggs and feeling my gaze on him, he asked me to get him a drink in fridge which was behind me.
I went to the fridge and once again as I reached my hand to the handle, the it opened on its own. I quickly checked if Louis saw anything; he had picked up his notebook again and was reviewing something in it, with a piece of beacon dangling out of his mouth. *sigh* He didn't see...not like I wanted to hide anything but I was sure that HE was hiding something. Anyway I better practice this ability to avoid issues later on.
I took out two packs of 'dafani juice•' and headed back to the counter to finish breakfast. To my surprise, his eggs were gone and only one piece of beacon was left.
I asked: « how were the eggs? You seemed reluctant to eat them »
Louis still avoiding eye contact answered: « as usual, they were so so aha ». As he finished his sentence, a new pop up window appeared:

This ability was everything I liked but it raised a more urgent issue. Louis was indeed lying to me. As I am not the type of people that would mince words and beat around the bush with people I cared about , I directly asked:" Tell me bro...Did your Dogo tell you to lie to me?"
