1 prologue

The room was dark, a little candle on the wooden table brightened up the room a little bit.

A boy is kneeling down, with his hands crossed behind his back.The boy's face is swollen up with wounds, his white shirt is stained little with blood, his arms and legs is filled up with injuries.tears rained down from the boy's eyes as he shivers from the heaviness of the pain.

A young man, stood in front of him.The man held a whip on his right hand,then a cigarette was in his mouth.He glared at the wounded boy with hatred.

"your nothing but a cursed child," The man spoked to the boy, "you brought nothing but pain and suffering since your arrival in this family."

The boy was confused by the Man's words.The man notices the confusion on his face,then smiles, "oh you didn't know you were an adopted child ? yes.You were found near a river.

The boy was greatly shocked by this revelation, he finally knew why his brothers hated him and why the other members of the family treated him differently than everyone else.

The man squeezed his face in anger, raising up the whip, "Because of you! my brother and his wife are dead!" He lashed the whip on the boy's left shoulder very furiously, "take more of it you bloody scoundrel!!!" He lashed hard the whip again on the boys left shoulder.

The boy's shoulder was heavy with pain, his blood slowly soaked his arm, he held his damaged shoulder with his right hand, avoiding the hateful gaze of the man that had inflicted the damaged, he continued enduring it without saying a word,nor looking at the man.

The man stared at him as he endured the pain,slowly shedding tears, then the man sighs, "now i see why your real parents abandoned you in the river, they must have seen the future.That you were a cursed child." Then he leaves the boy to drawn in his pains and sorrow, he advances to the door, as he opens it, he pauses for a minute, "by tomorrow, after school.You will be sent of the streets to live with your counterparts.This is no place for a filthy dog like you." He then slams the door on his way out.

The dai family are a family of aristocrats.they run a capitalist company with the aim of helping governmental projects, in building houses,roads and markets.Nevertheless,its a way of chasing the poor people out of their homes.The buildings and roads built by them are mostly for the people of wealth.The poor are restricted from using this facilities built by the dai family.Instead they are used as work slaves with insufficient work pay.

Everything changed when daisuke, the newly installed CEO of the company adopted a child near a river,during a picnic with his wife and kids.They named the child, kenji.

kenji, at first was accepted by most of the family members.His parents treated him as their own son.He attended the prestigious rich academy.He had many friends except for nozomi who constantly competed with him for best student in school.No one expect the dai family knew he was adopted.

Omoi dai,younger brother to daisuke.did not accept kenji as a member of the family,instead he saw him as a dirt and threat to the family and it's business.

omoi's fear about kenji was confirmed in one of the board meeting, when daisuke said he would like kenji to be the vice president next to his son when he is of age.

Omoi stood up in anger, "what is the meaning of this!! you would allow a non family member to become vice president of the board? he might betray us ones he finds out the truth.He might even embezzle the business funds.You shouldn't trust an outsider."

"enough younger brother!!" daisuke ordered, omoi sat down in anger.daisuke then stood up to address the board, " I believe that kenji would be able to change this company and lead it to a better direction.you see this company is meant to build up good roads and buildings.but,we do these things for selfish reasons.We are meant to help the poor,the less privileged,not to make them suffer.believe it or not kenji is a part of this family,treat him like a brother, a son,afriend.His a human being just like us!! status doesn't define someone.what does, is your behavior and what you impact in people.love matters the most."

Everyone was speechless,omoi looked away from his brother in anger.daisuke ignores him

"then it's decided,kenji shall become the vice president ones his of age."

on hearing those words,omoi grinds his teeth together in pure bitterness.Then from that day on,he began to poison the minds of other members of the family,even the sons of daisuke, that kenji was a cursed child and a treat to the family's life and business.some believed him and started hating kenji.

Then tragedy strucked, as daisuke and his wife were killed in a car accident.It was an elaborate scheme planned by omoi to get rid of his brother and become the head of the family's business and make kenji suffer.

after The death of his brother, he made it a misson to make kenji regret his life.He made the members of the family hate him, he constantly flogged kenji with a whip,locking him in a dark room, he made kenji a servant in the family.He always made kenji kneel before him so that he could put his foot on kenji's head as footstool in order to have his breakfast and meals everytime.Everyone made fun of him.He even exposed the truth about kenji's adoption to the public. finally Knowing his background that he was poor and was found in a river , his friends abandoned him at school.He became an outcast.Kenji cried day and night,praying for his salvation.

It was his last day at school,and him been a member of the family.Kenji sat alone on the school's play field,during break time reading one of his favorite manga's.He wanted to calm his mind from the hatefulness he had received since the death of his adopted parents.

"Hey kenji.."

kenji looked up to see a girl standing in front of him .Her hair was coloured purple and long.The girl smiled softly at him.it was his longtime rival nozomi.

kenji removed his gaze from her,focusing on his manga.He taught nozomi wanted to make fun of him like the rest.

"what do you want? here to make fun of me as well?" He said, reading his manga

"no not that." nozomi chuckled softly.Then sat down on the grass bedside kenji.

"Then why are you here?"

"I heard what happened and i feel sorry."

"why do you care anyway?" kenji rudely said removing his face from nozomi.

nozomi became sad, "look i lost my brother two years ago."

kenji looked at her, I..i didn't know about that..sorry."

"yeah, he died of lung cancer.now my dad has it too." nozomi cleaned the tear drop from her left eye with her hand.

kenji felt for her, "s.. sorry"

she sniffed,"it's okay, I heard that you were going to be chased out of your family."

kenji puts his head down in sadness, "...yeah."

she looks at kenji with a full smile, "you can come and live with me."

kenji's eyes widened, "r.. really."

nozomi happily nods her head, "yeah"

"it's..its hard to believe." kenji becomes serious pointing his finger on nozomi, "are you sure this ain't one of your tricks.i mean, why would you help someone you hate."

"oh boy..." nozomi puts her head down in depression on her chest, wrapping her hands round her knees."because...because."

"because what?"

her cheeks turned red, she was ashamed to say it,but she puts her head up then yells, "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU YOU DUMBASS!!!" she quickly uses her hands to close her mouth in fear.

"wh...what" kenji was speechless."you-you."

nozomi sighs In depression, "just forget about it." then she stood up bring her hand out for a handshake, "so what do you say, come and live with me, I promise not to tease you anymore.please be my brother." she smiled at kenji.

Kenji remained speechless for a moment, he could not miss a chance to live a peaceful life.This was his salvation, he smiled standing up and shaking nozomi's soft hands, "i accept, thanks a lot...nozomi."

She giggled at him.

kenji moved in with nozomi.He thought his life would be Normal,but he was wrong it was beginning.His suffering and his journey of heroism and the fight against the forces of evil.that would change his whole life.
