Chapter 1- Beginning

"Hey, Ace," A light-haired boy turned to his friend.

"Yeah?" Ace looked up to see, Ray looking at him.

"When you're older and you have a fiance, can we still hang out like this?" Ray asked and had a worried expression on his face.

Ace then rolled his eyes and said, "Mhm,"

"Really? Promise?" Ray's eyes brightened and he held his pinky out.

"Promise," Ace smiled and their pinkies intertwined. Ray let out a giggle.

"Boys! There you are!" Both boys turned and saw someone run up to them.

Ace let go of Ray's pinky and stood up. Ray did the same and looked to see who it was. They could see a woman in a maid dress and her orange hair down, it was Faye. Faye is one of the maids in the Kingdom of Yumirk, Ace's home Kingdom. Ray is visiting Ace and staying there for a week.

"Your highness, I have been looking for you everywhere! Oh-! Prince Ray of Avolo, pardon I didn't see you there," Faye bowed then looked back at Ace and let out a sigh.

"Your mother is calling you both for lunch, please follow me," Faye turned and walked, the boys following after.

They got into the palace and walked through halls, finding their way to the dining room. The room was decorated in simple and plain accents with a woodlike table. Ace's mother always loved the simple look, nothing fancy.

"Hello, sweetie. It seems your brother actually decided to join us. Hello to you too, Ace. It's lovely to have you over again," Ace's mom or Amber bowed waved to them.

Ace smiled, then saw his brother, Kyler. His brother waved at him and he waved back. Both the boys sat down to eat.

"So, Kyler why did you decide to join us? Usually, you request to eat in your room," Amber turned to her eldest son.

"Well, Mother as you can see Father isn't here, also my dear brother is also here. Though, I didn't think we would have a guest," Kyler's tone changed from calm to irritated a bit while looking at Ray.

"Really? Ray comes over ever once a month. He usually stays for the weekend, then goes back to his Kingdom," Amber taps a napkin over her mouth.

Kyler finished chewing a piece of steak then swallows.

Ace turned to his mom and asked, "Where is father?"

"Your Father has business to tend in the Kingdom of Elisora," She says and cuts her steaks.

"Elisora? Woah," Ray looked down at his food.

"Hm?" Ace turned to him.

"Elisora is known for beautiful people, mostly women. I read that there have been many cases of underage sex, sleeping with minors, and ****. It's honestly scary," Ray took a bite of his steak that was not cut.

"Your steak isn't cut, let me do it," Ace leaned over and cut Ray's steak.

"What is underage sex and ****?" Ace then asked looking at his mom.

"Uh-umm, you're too young to know," Amber said nervously.

"But Ray is younger than me," He then turned to Ray.

"Can you tell me later?" Ace whisper in Ray's ear, Ray then nodded.

Faye then walked in with a wheeled cart. She then walked over to Amber. She opened the cover of the plate showing 2 pills and a glass cup of water.

"Thank you, Faye," Amber said and Faye bowed, then left.

Amber took those pills and threw them into her mouth, then took the glass of water drinking it.

She then stood up and said, "Ray, how long are you staying here?"

"I actually have to leave later today. My Father and I are going to the Kingdom of Kikoro. He said it is to learn about different Kingdoms," Ray said happily.

"Kikoro is an interesting Kingdom. We've been there a couple of times, they are very playful people. Also very mischievous," Amber said with a slight smile.

Later that night, Ray had to leave in his carriage. Both boys said their goodbyes and waved. It was a dark and cold night, Ace was walking to the library then he was pulled from the back and thrown onto the wall. He had his eyes closed and there was a thud next to his head. He opened his eyes.

"Oh! K-Kyler, what are you doing?" Ace was nervous looking at his older brother.

"Let's play!" Kyler smirked and Ace's eyes widen.

"N-No, I need to go to the library," Ace walked under his brother's arm.

"Did Ray, tell you the definition of **** and underage sex?" Ace stopped walking and Kyler walked closer to him.

"He did, didn't he?" Kyler whispered into his ear. Ace flinched back.

"Stop," Ace said and Kyler smirked, then walked closer.

Ace started to shake, he felt anxious. His eyes had fear in them watching Kyler walk closer to him, as he takes small steps back.

"You know how much I love that look," Kyler put his hand on Ace's chin, lifting it up.

"T-This is wrong, you're my brother. It's disgusting," Ace removed Kyler's hand from him.

"Ah- Step-brother. Remember where you came from," Kyler licked his lips.

Then shouting could be heard and Kyler looked up, seeing Faye.

"Oh-! There you are, your Highnesses," Faye went closer to them.

"Kyler you have much studying to do, your teacher is waiting in the library," She told him and he rolled his eyes, then started to walk away.

"And Ace you should head to bed, follow me. I don't want you to sneak off, again," Faye sighed and they began to walk.

It was a long silent walk until one of them spoke.

"Faye, is Mother okay?" Ace asks with a worried expression.

Faye then stopped walking and turned to say, "I'm sure she'll be fine, your Mother is a strong woman," Ace smiled.

They made it to Ace's room and Faye tucked Ace into bed. Faye also put a glass of water next to him, in case he got thirsty in the middle of the night.

"Goodnight-" Faye was cut off by Ace.

"Can I call Ray before I go to bed? Just for a little bit, please!" Ace asked with puppy eyes and Faye sighed.

"Okay, okay, but don't tell you, Mother I allowed this," Faye said then left the room, gently closing the door.

Ace smiled and got out of bed, he then grabbed his iPad. He clicked the call button for Ray. A hologram then appeared of Ray.

"Ace? Why are you calling? You know I'm in Kikoro now," Ray whined and pouted, Ace giggled and waved.

"Woah, so this is the technology in Yumirk," Ace heard a voice and pouted.

"Hey, who's there with you, Ray?" Ace sounded a bit angry as he asked.

"Oh-! It's Aiden, we are in their palace," Ray said and Ace calmed down a bit.

They all then talked for an hour, but Ace began to feel a bit sleepy. Same with Aiden and Ray. They all then fell asleep on call.

...Meanwhile...

"I can't wait until my son can meet you. You are such a lovely young girl," A tall man said.

A blonde girl giggled and said, "I can't wait to meet him too!"

"So, Megumi in 4 years?" Another man asked.

"Yes, in 4 years. I'll letter the details later,"
