When the world turns it's back...
Why... Is there even a reason... Why does this only happen to me?
As the boy rolls over, his hair ripped out and the rest bloodied he wonders what he had to have done in another life to deserve this kind of treatment. After living on the streets since he was five, the boy was subject to rough conditions. No one was kind enough to offer help they would only spit on him and walk away. After living on the streets for 13 years he realized that the world was indeed a cruel place not meant for the likes of a kid.
He could feel that his broken ribs punctured his lungs in at least 2 spots. All he did was ask a man for a spare dollar, right after he called a group of people to drag me into a alley and use me as a punching bag. To make matters worse there was a F rank hunter thrown into the mix. I barely held on, but I'm still wondering why I held on. What's in it for me to live with in a world where the lucky are powerful and the unlucky are poor and sick. Furthermore I am critically injured and bleeding to death, so why do I hold on. All I want to do is give up.
While on death's door he started to hear a sound. The sound of dings flooded his brain, he passed out.

12 hours later
I woke up and the first thing I saw was a semi-transparent screen in front of my face, it read: [ Welcome host to the ??? System, the system will give you power for doing challenges or leveling up, say status open for more details]
As he said the words "status open" another screen appeared in front of him

After looking at his pathetic stats another message popped up:
[Clear the Wolf's Den Dungeon: 'Reward: Unlocks full system. Failure: Death. Time Limit: 72 hours]
After reading the failure he realized that this wasn't a prank, the system had healed him completely and which allowed him to determine this was a "Awakening". When someone Awakens they get healed to their maximum while getting a boost of power, depending on the rank someone gets the stronger they awaken. If someone awakens with a F rank they will have power similar to that of a body builder with the exception of being able to contain mana in their bodies.
To be able to go into a dungeon, everyone would have to head to the guild to get their rank's checked and get their permit to enter dungeons.
Weaving through the streets taking 6 hours of walking to arrive at 'The Guild'. After looking at the giant hall that hundreds of people in full plated armor, some were wearing robes and others wearing priest outfits. As I strolled up to the receptionists desk people through glances at me because of my bloodied head and torn clothes. I reached the counter and asked the lady behind it "I'm here to register as a hunter" the woman turned to face him and with a snarky look said to him "We're not looking for a freak show".
Kian ignored the comment and asked "How does the test work". The woman responds by telling him that he puts his hand on the machine and the longer it takes to register the higher rank you will be. Getting an F rank is about the same as being a normal person with heightened senses. The highest the machine can calculate is someone up to S rank. Even if you get S rank your power will start at the Rank of D, but you will most likely have multiple innate skills or a very powerful innate skill. He typed his name on the tablet she handed him, although he cant write he can read very well and is acquainted with typing.
He waited for 5 minutes until a man called his name and telling him to follow him. After reaching the testing room he saw a giant machine with all sorts of pipes and tubes coming out of it. The man told him that he should put his hand on the hand shaped metal. After a minute of waiting he was written as a F rank.
For most people they would see it as their life was over, but for him he just wanted to figure out this quest thing worked. He was told that they would provide lodging until he got his guild card which would take upwards of a day.
After waiting a day for his hunter guild he got a reminder from that the system
[Clear the Wolf's Den Dungeon in 42 hours]
He headed out the guild and asked some people where the Wolf's Den Dungeon was, he learned it was about a 2 hour walk from where he was and started to head there.
Once he reached the dungeon he realized what he was doing, going from a homeless man to a hunter. To any other person it would feel surreal but to a person that realized life isn't fair and happiness is only a idea the feeling of scared-ness doesn't exist for him. People would feel the death that looms in the air but he doesn't feel anything. He reaches a giant door that is said to be the entrance of a dungeon. He places his hand on the door and his head spins a bit but after a couple of seconds he looks up and notices that he's in a giant cave. As he looks straight ahead he notices a 2 foot tall wolf running towards him not even 40 yards away!
The only way to defeat a monster in a dungeon is by killing it and that's what Kian plans to do. With the addition of 10 strength he is a stronger than a bodybuilder and would be able to kill a wolf in the real world. Dungeon monsters however are stronger than any earth animal. It takes about 2 newly F rank hunters to deal with a Wolf but with his strength it should be easy or so he thought.
When he went to attack the front legs on the wolf, the wolf dodged to the right leaving Kian falling forward. The wolf rushed towards Kian while fiercely growl and then pounded, biting Kian's shoulder in the process, he got up after the bite and checked his status

He lost 30 HP just from a bite, he could only take one more before he wouldn't be able fight back. He turned around as the wolf rushed towards him, he took a defensive stance and waited for the wolf to attack. The wolf jumped into the air straight towards his neck, but Kian slide to the left and threw a downward punch to the top of the wolf's head mushing its brain and killing it.
