1 Prologue

0700(7:00 AM) 7:00 AM
Central Iraq
Captain William Thalin,
It was early morning, The sun was barely peeking through the window blinds of Thalins quarters. He awoke to the sound of his alarm striking at 7:05 AM. "Uhhhh, five more minutes'' he groaned, turning on the snooze button. "Wait, shit," he said, realizing he was supposed to be in the labs at 0630 (6:30 am) for an early morning mission brief. He rushed out of bed, running to get his uniform on and forgetting to grab his cap on the way out.
He rushes out the door of his quarters to arrive on time to the meeting in the Research and development buildings to avoid getting yelled at. "Good morning s-s-sir," a trooper said as Thalin ran past, towards the RnD buildings.
As he reached the doors and headed inside he saw the base commander and the head scientist. "Captain, you're late," Colonel Phillips said, slightly annoyed. Thalin stood at attention with a salute. "Sorry sir, i-"
Thalin was interrupted by the Colonel, "I don't want to hear any excuses, you are to be on time, all the time. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!" Thalin, with a stern face, spoke out, "YES SIR!" The Colonel accepting his apology said, "At ease, now let's move on to the briefing"
The rest of Thalin's team had already arrived earlier and were just waiting in the briefing room for their Captain. In the front row waiting for him was his lifetime best friend Cody Williams. Thalin and him were equal in fitness having both been through basic training, slim but muscular. He had brown hair, Brown eyes, and was about 5'10" in height. Williams was Thalin's second in command.
Sitting behind Williams was a big muscular guy that they knew as Bull. No one knew his real name but he could probably take down a bull with how muscular he was. He had black hair, gray eyes, and was 6' in height. He had a few tattoos on his arms. He worked as the squad's heavy weapon operator and demolitions expert.
Next to Bull was a guy that they knew as Hunter. He was pretty slim for having passed basic training as well as the additional special forces training. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was about 5' 7" in height. He worked as the squad's marksman and sniper.
Behind Hunter and Bull were two guys they nicknamed the twins. Their real names were Poindexter and Parker. They were both equally fit but not too muscular. They both had black hair and amber eyes. They were both about 5'9" in height. They both served as the squad's riflemen.
William Thalin was a confusing name for both him and Cody but they go by their last name to make it easier. Thalin was decently muscular and fit but wasn't like Bull. He had black hair with green eyes and was about 5'11" in height.
The Colonel and Thalin walked in to begin the briefing for the mission briefing. Thalin walked to the chair next to William's and sat down. The Colonel walked up to the podium and began to explain the mission. "Today you and your men are going in for a rescue operation. Two of our men went into enemy territory last night and were captured. It is up to you 6 to rescue these men and bring them home. What we know so far is that they are held in this building" the building looked like a standard sandstone house, two floors, and one door. "which will be heavily guarded. Seeing as you all are our best special forces team you will be going in silently, quick, and clean. Any questions(the room stayed silent) Now I will let the head scientist, Dr. Strauss, take the stand. Dr if you please." The Colonel stepped out of the way. The doctor turned around, wearing a white lab coat. It swished as he turned. He had bright blonde hair and a monocle on his right eye. He appeared old. He had a wrinkly face with a scar on his left cheek. His eyes were two different colors. His left eye was blue and his right eye looked white.
Strauss took the stand and began talking in a German accent. "Thank you, Colonel, now onto zee business. We have developed a new type of technology that will revolutionize how the Colonel sends in his men to ze battlefield.
I like to call it the Trans-interdimensional Elebrate Lightning Escort Porter Of Reconnaissance Tactics and Emergency Response. Or for short, the T.E.L.E.P.O.R.T.E.R.
It allows the uzer to go to any location with the flick of a switch. Now, since zhis is a new technology, we will need volunteers. Given how each of you is similar in terms of blood type and physical attributes, you 6 would be the best candidates for zis test. We can only transport 3 of you at a time, so I want Thalin, Hunter, and Bull to go first."
Thalin, Hunter, and Bull stand up and step into the teleporter. The Colonel walks up to them. "Now you will be teleported close to the house, so be on your guard. May you all come back in one piece". The doctor speaks. "Coordinates locked in, commencing teleportation." Just as the Dr goes to flip the switch a large electronic spark goes off on the console in front of him. "NO NO NO! Zis isn't supposed to happen!" The Colonel turns to the doctor. "SHUT IT DOWN!" Before the doctor could even get to the panel, Thalin, Hunter, and Bull were already gone. "Zis can't be good" the doctor exclaimed in panic.
The Colonel turned to the doctor. "What happened, where did they go!?" The doctor runs to a display on the wall. "I am not sure vhere Zhey went. Zhere is no coordinates." The Colonel turns to the rest of the team. "Lieutenant Wiliams, take Poindexter and Parker and head to the rendezvous point" the Colonel turns to where Thalin used to be. "Hopefully wherever they went is safe"
