"Oh yeah, how about you tell me something insightful to clear my doubts, fellow Daoist! Perhaps you can help us both by doing that!" Ben Li felt a little insulted being provoked so he quipped back.

Wang Xie shook his head and then began to berate.

"Help you? If that's the logical conclusion that you derived from then there's no helping you. You're beyond salvation at this point."

"Listen to yourself. Do you think that expelling all thoughts will actually clear your mind? That's not clearing but emptying the thoughts in your head! Do you think that you'll be able to function right if you had no idea what you're actually doing?!

Think of a thought like killing an idiot and actually doing it without hesitating or thinking of the consequences. "And you actually thought expelling what makes the human brain work is called a clear mind? Or didn't you mean to say that your mind is already blank and because of that, you're dumb?"

"And also, purifying the soul from all distractions? What hypothesis do you have to claim that having distractions can dirty the soul?! Are you sure you're talking about the soul or your brain?! Because your half-assed theory might be correct if the subject was the latter.
