12 The Navy Ship:

Its been 2 days since we arrived here on the ship. Tommy hasn't spoken a word about the baby. Let alone even looked at me since he found out I knew. The ship is big but also very hard to break. We set sail for outside the united states. Hoping to find a secluded island with vegetation But no people.

"Some plan huh baby?" You say putting your hand on your stomach. You were numb to the idea of being pregnant especially given the last two times didn't end well. You wanted a baby. But was this a life for a child. Lizzie seemed happy. She is so strong. It amazes you. Lizzie sees you and runs over. "Come play with me please." She said with her big puppy dog eyes. You chuckle. "Sure honey." And just like that you started playing with her and the other kiddos.

Tommy looks at Theo In the glass holding cell in Dr.Ivins new lab. Then He looks at Dr.Ivin who is much quieter today than usual. "Everything alright Doc?" You ask looking back at Theo who just calmly stands and stares at you. For a second you think you see him smile at you. But then realize he probably cant do that. Or he was thinking about how amazing your organs would taste.

"Yes just a lot on my mind. I think I may have the Antidote but..." He trailed off. Tommy looked at him. "What?" Dr.Ivin looked at Theo. "If this doesn't work he will die. Then this will all be for nothing." He said looking for the first time not optimistic.

You put your hand on his shoulder and look at Theo. "Youll find it Doc." You say being optimistic for him. But for the first time you didnt believe it. Did you? Alice walks in in a rush. "Oh sorry I didn't realize anyone else was in here." She said smiling at Tommy. "Just Leaving." Tommy said patting Dr.Ivin's Shoulder one last time. "Oh and Tommy.. Talk to Madie." He said giving him a small smile. Tommy froze at the door and nodded. Then Left.

Alice sits next to Dr.Ivin. "Did you get the results?" Alice asked impatient. He nodded and handed her the file. She opened it and with shock read the results. "Pregnant.. But How?" Alice said putting her hand over her belly. Dr.Ivin looked at her. She smirked. "I know how.. I am just shocked. Phillip will be too." She said then she paused.

"Do you think it is possible to raise a baby in this world?" She asked concerned. "My dear anything is possible. We have to learn to stop fearing everything. And Live life in the moment. A Baby is a celebration. So Celebrate." He said gripping her hand tightly. With that she smiled and ran out the lab to find Phillip.

Tommy walked by the bunker him, Madie, and Lizzie shared. Madie was in there folding clothes.

"Hey." You say leaning against the door. She looked over at you and then looked around the room to see if you were actually talking to her or someone else. "Hi." She said.

"We need to ta-." You started but then were cut off by her. "No we don't. I owe you an explanation that much I know. Truthfully I didn't know know I was pregnant. I guessed it while we were out on the run for supplies. Which was going smoothly till them jerks from Briar Community decided to ambush us. I get it your mad. You have a right to be. But Honestly how in gods name are we going to raise a baby in this world? Let alone how do we know this pregnancy will take? Just how is everything going to magically be okay?" She stops with tears in her eyes. You instantly feel horrible for the way you treated her the last couple days. "Nothing about this life is normal and happy. We all make the best of what we have but what good has come out of it?" She continues crying.

"Us.. Lizzie. All the people we have helped. No this world is far from perfect but neither was our old one." You say sitting next to her grabbing her in a hug.

4 days since setting sail. We have past several islands. But none that look promising. Not yet anyways. People are starting to get restless on the ship. The children mostly. They want to run and play more than they can on a ship.

The intercom comes on. "Everyone come up. You all should see this." Drake said before shutting the intercom off. Everyone did as they were told. Once everyone was up they could all see the island. And people. People were waving and cheering to see a ship.

"What do you think?" Madie asked Tommy. "I think we agreed on an Island with no people." He said.

"But if there is no infection here. That's hope. Isn't it?" She asked him. Drake came out to talk to everyone. "I know we agreed to find an Island with no one on it. But what if we check this one out. We haven't found one with no life on it. And it will be rare to find one with no one on it. This is our best bet." Drake said. Tommy looked at him not saying a word. "Fine we give it a couple nights. If we don't like it or something feels off we get back on the ship." Drake continued eyeing Tommy.

Everyone agreed. Madie grabbed Tommy's hand.

A new Adventure would soon begin.
