5 Chapter 5: The fairy sleeping in the darkness

As the morning sun rise we woke up early and get ready to school I was sitting in front of the mirror while Kathleen was fixing my hair she was happily helping get ready for the school but there is one thing was bothering since we woke up.

"Um Kathleen can I ask you something?" I ask her.

"Hmm, what is it sister there is something wrong" she replied with a sweet voice.

I laugh lightly "Yes there is really something wrong"

"What is it just tell me" speaking innocently.

I let out a sigh and speak loudly "Why are you tying me on the chair" I struggle to move but the rope is so tight that I can only move barely.

"I don't know what you are talking about sister, don't make any move I was trying to fix your hair" she said it innocently like she didn't know what is happening.

I keep struggling to loosen up the rope but the more I struggle the more the rope tighten.

"Kathleen remove this rope right now or I'll get angry" I said it in commanding tone.

She suddenly look at me with devilish eyes.

When I saw the change expression to her face I got suddenly chill on my body and think that I just put my other foot into grave.

"W-what is wrong my dear sister? Why are you making that such face?" I ask her nervously.

She pouted and refuse to look me "Nothing much I'm just upset that someone here break a promise"

She's really cute when she do a pout I'll take it as a treat, I shook my head letting out what I think.

"I said I'm really sorry about leaving last night"

"Hmm"

I'll tell you why made Kathleen upset, the night after we both sleeping soundly I heard a faint voice outside at first I ignore it thinking maybe it just some wild animal wondering around well I wouldn't surprise if I encounter an talking animal because I live in fantasy world now, but that faint voice keep going and going, every time I hear it the voice slowly get clearer that I can almost understand what it's saying.

I open my eyes looking at Kathleen facing the other face she seems not notice the noise, I get out of the bed for the mean time that voice stops I open the door slowly so I wouldn't disturb Kathleen I walk into the hallway alone I walk slowly afraid that I might disturb other when I walk fast and make noise.

I open the door of the kitchen I haven't get any thought how I found the kitchen on my own knowing that I wasn't able to go here and eat dinner when Kathleen didn't let me out of the room when I ask her I'm hungry she instead called the caretaker to bring us our dinner, I drink glass of water after returning to our room.

I walk in the same path earlier afraid that I might get lost because it was dark the only light is the candle in the walk, it was creepy in other way, when I about to open the door of the room that voice I hear again but this time is different, the voice seems calling me.

I open on the window in the hallway letting the cold wind of the night hit my face "Come here" now I open the window I could clearly hear that voice and it a voice of a women? No maybe a child since it was small voice.

"Come here" the voice is coming into the woods I look at it for a minutes and listen to that voice that keep repeating to say "Come here"

After a moment the voice stops and a faint green light emits in into the woods with my curiosity out do me I jump into the window and ran deep into the woods I follow the light as I got stumble in some branches on the ground there I enter a thick bush when I got out of the bush.

My eyes filled with the color as soon I get out the bushes there is a pound with clear water and something green lights are flying around there not fireflies but there are fairies happily flying around I hear their voice they are laughing enjoying themselves, one of them notice me and fly toward me stop in front of me she look at me for a second and smile sweetly and fly around me like saying 'let's play'.

She held my finger with her little hands and smile I follow her and the rest of them notice me and they fly around me I can see a dust like thing falling from their wings every time they fly around me I play with them for several hours after that they lead the way out for me to dorm I waved good bye to them as they return to the woods when they disappear from my sight I slowly enter the window to avoid any noise.

I successfully enter the dorm without making any sounds I let a sigh of relief I stand up and slowly walk back to our room, giggle quietly thinking of the fairies they were so cute like as they describe in fantasy but I just didn't expect that they were small here I would rather choose of them as big so that I can hug them whenever I want.

I open the door slowly and saw Kathleen standing in the entrance tapping her left foot on the floor while crossing her arms and frowning looking at me I can sense that she is so pissed leaving her again "H-hey, my cute little sister what sup with you? Making a scary face?" I talk to her nervously and regretted asking an obvious question I know the very reason why she is pissed at me.

She let out a sigh and point the bed next to her and said "You sleep on your bed".

She's sounds really angry, after saying that she go back quietly to her bed and back to sleep covering her whole body, I rub her shoulder but she shrug me off, I tried to talk to her several times but I didn't get a response to I give up and quietly go to my bed and sleep thinking that I'll just talk to her next morning.

But when I woke up I was already in this position tied up in the chair and I was already in uniform did she change me when I was still sleeping? She was still brushing my hair slowly and I can see her smiling through the mirror but I can sense a sinister aura hiding in those smiles so better to obey her to avoid any trouble, she braided my hair and tied it up in pony tail.

"Then sister, let's go and breakfast" she smile innocently.

"Huh? hmm okay but how I will walk? I'm still tied in the chair" I ask her.

"Hmm don't worry sister"

She cut the rope and release me I stand up stretching my body feeling to freedom from the rope, she stand in front of me smiling and show her right hand to me.

"What's that?"

"My right hand isn't it obvious?" she replied normally.

"I can see that but" i look at her confused.

She sigh and speak with a mean tone "I'm asking you to give me your hands"

"Eh? Why?"

She look at me irritated and didn't response to my question, she just pull my hands with a tight grip it startle me and she pull another from her pocket.

"W-why are you holding a rope again?"

She didn't answer either nor look to me, she just tie my arms I tried to pull my hands but I failed because she was holding it tightly I watched her tying my hands she seems so upset this time for my action last night.

"H-hey Kathleen about last night"

"What about last night?" she answer with cold tone.

"Sorry for leaving you again last night, but hear me I just went to get some water I got thirsty in the middle of the night" I said it while bowing my head.

"You went to get some water, inside of the woods? In the middle of the night? Walking barefoot?" she sheargue in cold tone.

I didn't expect her seeing me walking in the woods middle of the night, but if she see so she also see that when I go back I have some fairies following me "No I didn't it was true that I went for water but, when I go back I keep hearing voices calling for me maybe? I didn't plan to get out and enter the woods in the middle of the night but I see fairies"

"Fairies?" she repeat after me.

"Yes fairies, you know that like a firefly there where flying around with beautiful lights as them hmm what kind of color is that again" I pause for a while thinking "Oh that's it gold and when they fly around there is some dust falling from their wings."

There was a moment of silent after I tried to explain what I saw last night.

"Pfft"

"Pfft?"

She suddenly burst laugh after "You see a fairy you said? Sister did your head is really ok? You can't fool me with that"

"Huh? I did really see a Fairies, they are so small and cute and flying around" I tried to explain to her but she didn't believe my story.

"Stop it! I have enough hearing you stupid reason to tell you the truth the person can only see the fairies is a mage that possess an extremely power and here in school there is only one person I believe can see a fairies is our head master" I got tongue tied after hearing she snapped at me.

She drag me out of the room we go to the dining room and sit in the corner table located near the window everyone is looking at us and others is whispering to each other "What kind of breakfast would you like to eat Milady?" a maid approach us I look at her I was surprise that maid is sure pretty, her face was small that framed perfectly by her black short hair till to her shoulders her green eyes and mole on the left was suit her pale skin and firm figure.

"We'll take the as usually" Kathleen response to her question while me was stuck staring at her.

The maid bow a little after leaving us I stare at my angry little sister that refuse to listen to me "Umm Kathleen-san? How I supposed to eat if my hands are tied up?" I ask while smiling awkwardly toward her.

She stare at me with blank expression while I'm still smiling awkwardly thinking she might yell at me anytime, after a long stare moment she let out a sigh and stands up and sit beside me while looking in other direction.

"I'll feed you" she said softly.

"Huh?" I couldn't catch what she just said so I lean to her said but she pushes me back, I pouted the way she push me like that I know I was in fault but she didn't have to treat me like this even I already apologized.

'Kathleen is so mean, I already apologized to her but she didn't accept it and she even tied me up like a slave to about to be sold' I murmured to myself.

"Did you say something?" she ask with angry tone.

I laugh awkwardly "Nothing, I said it was a nice morning"

"Yes indeed a nice morning, if someone didn't ruin it" she replied without changing her tone.

I look at her with a pity look while she refuse to look at me, when I'm about to open my mouth I interrupted by the maid earlier "Sorry for the wait, here's your breakfast enjoy" she bow and left us.

I look at the food it was omelet rice I was surprise that this food exist here, Kathleen did really feed me It was quiet embarrassing because every student eating in the dining room with us are staring while Kathleen keep on feeding me while ignoring everyone.

After I finish my breakfast she ate quietly beside me while me staring outside through the window, after our breakfast this scenario continue until the end of the day I wasn't able to enjoy my first day in class in this new world but it was full of embarrassment, while walking heading back to dorm still she don't have a plan to set me free, as me I was also running out patient even I was in the wrong side she didn't have to rough like this.

"Kathleen please release me already I know I broke our promise but I'm really sorry I'm not doing it again" I talk to her with a normal tone.

She didn't response but she continue walking slowly while holding the end of the rope in her right hand, I keep telling her to release me but she pretend to no hear anything, and where I run out of patient I stop walking while looking down she notice that I stop walking she stop also and turn around not saying any word.

"Can you already stop this" I said in low voice.

"Huh?" she replied.

"I said stop it already acting a childish I know I'm in the wrong side I already apologized I'm really sorry for breaking our promise but I accept that you are mad at me but you don't have to be rough like this to me treating me like a slave embarrassing me in front of everyone!" I snapped and blurted the word inside me head.

"B-but you're the one break our promise" she replied in shaking voice.

"That's why I said I'm sorry just how many times should I tell you th-" I stop in the moment when I look at her shaking and crying while I yell at her "U-um I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you" I walk toward her but she step back as I approach her.

"I'm sorry" and she run leaving me behind I tried to chase her but I didn't manage to catch her.

I return to the room and enter our room but she's not there I went everywhere but I didn't find her it was late in the evening but she didn't return in the dorm yet, I went outside once more to search for her walking in random places while yelling her name, I found myself again with the fairies flying around me but today I see a flower blooming near the pond I walk toward it and saw a fairy sleeping peacefully there her color seems different for the others she is not wearing a green clothe like the other but she is wearing a blue and her hair color is black not blond and her wings doesn't shine.

I keep watching her for a moment until she slowly open her eyes I was amaze in that moment I feel excited my eyes are glittering she slowly sat up, she look around confuse before she look at me confused too she titled her head and smile wide as she smile around me and landed in my shoulder we stare each other and I smile at her I stand up and stretch my body preparing to leave to continue to search for Kathleen.

But something I didn't notice that someone standing behind waiting for a right moment to snatch me before I could turn someone hit me in the back that makes me unconscious.
