1 Chapter 1: A happy yet bitter life

Another day pass by I a loud laugh and conversation of the students passing through my house I look at the clock hanging on the ceiling it was 5:00 in the afternoon that's why it was noisy outside, I peek on my window I see happiness on the face of every students pass by, I was little envious because they have freedom they can choose what they want to do. (sigh) I turn around and jump to my bed and hide my head on the pillow and hold my breath long as I can.

(ding, dong) "Angelica, I know you're here so open the door"

I pretend not to hear anything I grab one of the book scattered on the floor and put a headphone and max the volume, why do I get envious on others I have freedom too as long as this I hold this books even though I haven't read it just closing my eyes I feel like I was standing in the green field wearing a white dress spreading my both hands in the fresh air and a song of the birds that relaxes my body I wish one day I can go to this place.

But before that can happen I have to defeat an enemy that always appears and destroys all the green colors turn into lava and the lively sounds turn into chaos and despair and pain the only place where I can ease myself I can't let it destroy, I shouted an insult and suddenly the ground begin rumbling and I saw a giant creature behind in black smoke I was froze on fear my whole body was shaking.

"What now?!" I shouted again out of my fear I know it was a stupid thing to do diving into danger without thinking I was trying to be hero that can't do anything, but to wait to be defeat by enemy, I take a deep breath as I watch that a big hand are coming toward me and about to smash me flat I just close my eyes and sudden silence when I open my eyes I gaze on the window I saw orange sky as the light of the sunset hits my window.

"Welcome back miss delusion princess, what take you so long?"

I look at my side on the chair seating staring at me so close was my cousin named Keith we grow up together were not living together but he often come to my house and hang out every weekend his facial features, big green eyes, dark skin, black silky hair and athletic figure makes him so popular in girls in school.

"I heard you make another girl cry"

"Hahaha where did you even get that? You didn't go to school for a week now"

"I just heard it earlier some noisy girls pass by"

"Oh"

"Why won't you just date one of them?"

"Who?"

"The girls asking with you two or three of them at the same time I'm sure they won't mind it"

"A pervert guy that enjoys staring to his cousin sweaty legs and cleavage"

After an hour my cousin left and my parents arrive it was 6:00 in the evening when someone knock on my door I was seating in front of my computer that time looking for a good book to read it continues knocking for five minutes I pretended not to heat anything until my mother called me to go downstairs to eat dinner, I went down and saw them waiting for me, I seat in the other side of the table near my mother.

We started eating I was quiet shock that my mother actually know how to cock it was my first time tasting her foods so teased her a little bit, the happiness that my parents giving is nothing more expensive than can anyone buy, but I feel like something is missing inside me like a cage bird taken it's freedom to fly, I don't know sometimes I can't understand myself maybe I was reading so much fantasy books.

"Your cousin told me you didn't go to school today, can you tell us why?"

I was silent for a moment staring straight and not making eye contact to my parents I was kind of nervous that I didn't tell my parents the reason why I stop going to school I can't tell them that I was getting bullied for believing in fantasy world, so dodging their question I say silly things to make them laugh.

I heaved a sigh after I manage to dodge the topic I know it's a good idea to hide something important to your parents but I don't want them to worry about me, after we finish eating I straight go to my room my mother called me to have some dessert but I can't take another bite so I refuse and lock my dock I take a deep breath and decide to put at ease my parents all I need to go to school but before that I stared at my computer from distance having a creepy smile I slowly walk toward my computer whipping my droll.

Grabbing the chair as stared straight to the monitor reading the title of an old story titled Romeo and Juliet it's a tragedy love story that everyone is against to their relationship but they prove that there is no horizon they can't reach if they both believe to each other I got inspired to their love story but their love story end in the bad way because both of them died in the end.

While I enter in my fantasy world after reading the book hundred time, I realized that it's already morning when I look the clock it nearly 8:00 o'clock I rushed to changed, before I reach the door I take a deep breath I have to act normal all I need to go to school, I open the door a flash of bright shines that blind me for a while and a noise of students I heard as step out.

Walking in the side along with other students I was perfectly blending in the shadow so that no one can recognized me that was I thought not until some girls in my class notice me they called me by my named in the distant that everyone hear it I was shock when I turn I around one of them suddenly hug me in the back and one of them hold my hair.

"You always good smell as fresh rose Angelica your silky red hair and blue eyes is beautiful as ever"

I was afraid for a moment because suddenly someone talk to me all I thought they going to insult me, but they instead treaded nice so I give a little hope that maybe there are still kind people in this cruel world that used to be an eden.

When we arrive in the front gate I saw my cousin with his friends he saw me, he rush toward me with tears in his holding my hands "Oh right here right now I believe in miracles I never thought I can see my this beautiful sight before my eyes, my super delusion cousin actually have friends" he burst tears as he says that and he also greet my classmates that with me.

"Jezz, just go away your so annoying!"

"Thank you very much for being nice to my cousin, she is kind of weird sprouting a weird stuff but don't worry she never hurt anyone"

They all laugh aloud, I pouted and I choked my cousin out of embarrassment my face was really red that I was sweating cold they still laughing I look at them and It come to my mind that having a normal school life is fun, I'm not saying that I'm weird but you know I never have a single friend before so I can't miss this chance to ask this three girls to be my friend so I gather a luck and take a deep breath, I face them holding my sweating hands and with my nervous voice I ask them to be my friend and bow my head a little bit.

One of them hold my hands, "Of course, we can be your friends" they say it together as they jump hugging me we crush to the ground and we all laugh.

A week after I made a friends everything I experience with them it was my first time, I never thought eating lunch with your friends is more fun rather than eating alone, texting each other in class, watching sunset in the rooftop after school is like a scene in anime that the protagonist confess his love to the heroine under the orange sky, I always thought it would be more lovely if it happens to me a guy suddenly appear before me and confess his love under in the rooftop as the sunset.

Ah I hope someday that will happen but I can't rush thing I will treasure what I have right know I really glad that I met this girls thanks to them I learned I wasn't before so I'm gonna treasure them in the rest of my life.

Enough in that drama, it was already dark when I went home while walking I spotted an book store so I stop and buy books to read even though I have friends I still want to live in fantasy after that I went straight home, after eating dinner a take a bath and immediately read the books I just buy, if there is portal to the fantasy world I would really go.

Next day I arrive late to the school because i pull all night reading the books I buy, while walking in the hall way I was happy thinking what kind of fun were making today, I very excited but when I enter the room three of them was not they're and the class already started after the first period I ask some of my classmates if they saw my friends but I didn't get any answer, they didn't answer my calls.

I want to go to their home and visit them but I don't know where they live the never told me so, it's been week since I last saw them I was staring in the sunset alone in the rooftop thinking what went wrong why they suddenly stop coming to school we are laughing in other and right now they just disappear without any warning, whipping my tears in my eyes silently as the sky slowly darkened convincing myself that I'll be going to okay.

Next day after waking up late I'm rushing getting ready to go to school I run down in stairs and grab a piece of bread in the table and rush to open the door and I saw my cousin waiting in front gate.

"What takes you so long?"

We walk together, while walking I stuff the bread in my mouth he laughs at me when he saw my round mouth like a hamster it came to my mind it is my first time walking with my cousin ever since I started attending class regularly even though in the past I was insisting not going to school maybe because I made some friends in school but, they not attending class even the teachers are worried to them they send a notice but no one answer and I heard one of our teachers visit their home once but no one home.

Few more days pass I still have no idea what happen to them, it's lot of reports lately about kidnaping a high school girls and found dead I hope this not happen to them, one day after school it was little dark when I go home I went to the supermarket to grab something drink when I spotted a familiar face in the glass of the supermarket in the other side of the road when I recognized the face my eyes suddenly filled with tears.

I rush out in supermarket and run toward her when I got near to her I was froze a moment when I saw her, she was wearing chewing a gum while her eyes are so red, she's wearing all black suit except to her hoodie that colored yellow her was a mess I was quite shock when the first time I saw her but I hug her instead with a big relief in my face but she suddenly push me enough to stumble me to ground.

I hurt my lower in the impact when she push me when I look at her she was staring at me angry expression in her face I was shacking that I couldn't speak up myself and she just left without saying anything all I can do is look at her as she disappear in my sight.

After a moment I stand up I realize that I hurt my ankle I sat down in the chair outside of the supermarket I take of my shoes and my knee sock as well revealing my barefoot in front of the people passing by looking at my feet in some pain I don't know if I can walk home own my own luckily my cousin happen to pass by to the supermarket where I was staying I called out to him and he recognized me.

"What to your feet?" he ask me while looking straight to my face.

"I tripped over" I laugh awkwardly.

He bend over and said "Come on I'll carry you back"

"Huh in your back? Why won't you carry me like a princess instead then?"

"Enough with you delusions why should I carry you like a princess you are not my girlfriend, and your heavy enough to rip off my hands in no time."

"How mean" I pouted and sigh, I jump to his back grabbing his back and lift up out of irritation he said to me I bite his shoulder enough to leave a mark of teeth on his shoulder.

"Stop it hurting me"

I laugh and said it aloud "Now your girlfriend will angry after seeing this bite mark of the girl in shoulder this is my pay back to you after saying such a rude thing to earlier"

"Will it's nothing at least it's from a beautiful girl I don't mind my girlfriend getting mad on me"

I pinch his cheeks and chock him with my other hand and suddenly he pinch my legs I was surprise to make me a weird noise as I press myself to his back when I look at him he was blushing red as my breast press against his back I smirk a smile and whisper to his ears.

"You're a naughty boy filling a pleasure from a breast of your cousin will I don't mind it at all or rather tell how it's feel it was smooth right does your girlfriend do this to you?"

He was sweating cold and not telling a single word and his was even more red before I was teased him even more not realizing we at my home after putting me in front of door he run fast as he can like a mother abandoning her child in someone else home, I guess I teased so much enough to embarrassed him, and thinking what I said earlier my face began to turn red and embarrass myself I hold my face with both hands thinking why I said that embarrassing words even if he was my cousin where are opposite sex.

After I enter home I walk straight in the sofa where my was sitting watch news from television after seeing I hurt my ankle he suddenly lift my feet almost reveal my panties to him lucky I manage to hold my skirt.

"What happen to your feet?" he ask with deep tone on his voice.

I smiled and said "I tripped in some rocks on way home"

It's not very convincing but I manage to fool him, he called my mother to grab some ice to put in my feet after tending my feet I walk slowly climbing the stairs slowly, next day I wasn't able to attend school because my father won't allow me he wanted me to rest until my feet fully heal even if it was not that hurt anymore he was been over protective since I was the only child so there is nothing I can do but to do what he says to avoid arguments.

In other hand I was bit happy when he said I should take a day off in school because I can read books as many as I want I have all day on my time I don't have to worry a single thing, so I read and read until I realized it was already evening I get up in the bed and stretch my back I grab my towel and went to bathroom to wash myself.

After I finish washing myself I stayed in bath tub for 30 minutes letting my exhausted my body relax even though I do nothing today, after changing I went downstairs to eat dinner with parents while eating I ask my parents if I can go to supermarket to buy some snack later and as I expected my father won't allow he insisted that he'll go instead after eating dinner he went outside and go to supermarket while waiting I was sitting on the floor leaning my back on the sofa watching some television drama.

After a while he return with lots of snack after receiving some snack I run back to my room and close the door and put the snack in the bed before I sat down in my bed my phone ring when I look at it a message from an unknown number telling that she is my friend and she was to meet me after school tomorrow in front of supermarket my eyes sparkle in excitement so after reading some books I sleep not eating the snack my father brought for me.

Next day I got up early with some excitement in myself thinking finally I can meet my friends once more so after school I went straight to the supermarket where she told me, while waiting I was checking my phone and reading some novels in the mobile app I downloaded recently I was enjoying myself for a moment I was laughing alone as the people stared at me with curiosity in their eyes I blush and bow head out in embarrassment next I notice it was getting late and I haven't their presents I waited for another hour thinking that they just late but after an hour no one comes and I receive an message with an apology "Sorry we can't make it today".

Sighted silently and put my smartphone in my bag and walk on my way home it was already dark the weather was slowly getting worsen so I was in hurry to get home I don't want to worry my parents especially my over protective father I'm sure by now he was panicking and don't know what to do since I'm not home.

But the traffic was heavy that time I decided to not take the bus since my home was near while waiting the traffic light turn into read I can see other students on their way home I recognized some faces since were in same class but I choose not to talk to them I don't know them either.

Before the traffic light turn into red someone push me into the rushing traffic in that moment when I saw the person who push me my heart was pierce into pieces and bright light and loud honk of truck appear before me in that moment I feel the time was moving slowly I just close my eyes thinking "Ah this is how my life ends, I wish I can see my parents once more to tell them I love them".

After a screeching of tire and I can hear echoing shouts and scream everywhere I can't feel my body all I can do was to move my eyes but it was blurry and slowly losing consciousness.
