3 Chapter Three: Now, What Shall I Create?

Inside Leo's bedroom, he stares at a blank piece of paper with pencil in hand.

Racking his brain onto what to create, he settles on something simple.

"Aha, I know what to make!" Leo exclaims, putting pencil to paper.

A few hours pass by, and Leo leans back in his chair, eyes staring at the starry night sky. He looks down onto his paper, some rough sketches as well as some dimensioning, he got down a drawing of what roughly makes a flintlock rifle as well as the parts that make it functional.

"Not bad for something I made from memory, let's get to crafting, shall we?" Leo thinks out loud, as he rolls up the schematics of his flintlock design and stores it into the system inventory. Afterwards, he taps the blueprint icon, and a smaller menu pops up.

Please select an option:

As Leo selects craft, a new prompt follows.

Crafting Time: ETA 15 Seconds.

"Hmm, not to bad of a waiting time." Leo whispers as he lights up another oil lamp.

Shortly after lighting up the lamp, a new prompt comes up.

Item Done Crafting:

Item: Flintlock Rifle

Description: A rather crude weapon, nevertheless deadly, be wary of its long reload time. Requires gunpowder and the corresponding ammunition to operate.

Item Stats:

Phys. Damage: 68-97

Durability: 175/175

Weight: 12.73 Lbs

Selling Price: Not recommended, as this world lacks the concept of gunpowder weapons.

Level: 1

Element Affinity: N/A

Item Grade: Grey (Shoddily made, though just barely passes as operable. Wouldn't be surprised if another person viewed it as trash.)

"Hmm, good enough for a prototype, time to bring it out!" Leo exclaims, as he selects the firearm in his inventory.

Select an option:

-Materialize-

-Dismantle-

-Destroy-

-Cancel-

Not surprisingly, Leo presses materialize, meaning that the rifle will be brought out of his inventory and into his hands.

The rifle appears in his hands, Leo almost drops it, as the rifle deemed to be fairly heavy.

"Ugh, I'm starting to wonder if I can even hold it properly, let alone fire it." Leo mutters, struggling to hold the rifle.

Keep in mind, he's still a six year old physically.

Putting the rifle back into his inventory, he decides to go to bed. Climbing into bed, his mind flooded with ideas, he imagines what he could create next, continuing to do so till he fell asleep.

The next day soon approaches. The sun peeking over the horizon, the birds singing their early morning songs, and the soft breathing of a young Leo, still fast asleep.

You'd expect something tranquil as this would last a while.

Like something like that would last.

"Time to wake up, Young Master Leo!" John yells, bursting through his bedroom door.

Though being a butler of a noble family, along with being trusted with the tutoring of said noble family's next heir, he does lack some common sense from time to time.

"Aah, what, huh!?" Leo yells, as he awakens suddenly.

By the way, don't wake someone up like this, as effective as it is, waking someone up suddenly actually damages the amount of energy they'll have throughout the day.

"It's time to train, Young Master!"

"But it's still too early, and plus, I never agreed to do any sort of training outside of studying!" Leo exclaims, as he covers his face in his blanket.

"Well, you did say you wanted to learn magic, correct?"

Lowering his blanket to show his face, "I did say that, but isn't this a bit sudden?"

"It's never too sudden to learn, let's go!" John exclaims, ripping away Leo's blanket.
