4 The Duel

Our parent's were against us dueling at first but we where able to convinced themThey also tried to change the losers prize but we were able to win the negotiation.

"Arcene if you get badly hurt then I will jump in to save you." "Nath don't worry about me I'll be okay, when I'm done with him he will look like a burnt chicken nugget." "Chicken nugget?" He leaps of the ground and was almost able to lay a hit on me, before he could touch the ground I let out a big gush of wind which send him flying across the field and he hit the house, they went to see if he was okay "I cant believe a little wind knocked you out"

"W-who said I w-was down!" he gets up but this time there is more killing intend in his eyes "I'll make you pay for that!" he takes out a sword and start to attack me with it, I kept dodging until it barely hit my face leaving a cut "Arcene!" "I'm okay no need to worry Nathaniel."

I became serious and used Wind slash It grazed his arm I was careful not to cut his whole arm, He screamed in pain but I just thought it was best to ignored it. I might just ended felling sympathy for him. His father came up to me and slapped me that it send me falling on the ground.

Just because he feels pain it doesn't mean he has to cry about it. I don't think that you know, when I had to fight of Hagon I nearly died, did I sit there and cry? I got mad that I let out a huge magic energy. I heard Nath calling out to me and telling me to calm down. I looked over at him and slowly calming down when I completely calmed down mom and dad ran up to me, my mom hugged me tightly and father looked at me with a very worried look.

"I'm okay, Momma, Papa" "Momma should never have let you participate in this duel." she is being overprotective again how can I stop her for doing something dumb, Oh thats right."M-momma can I go back to my room, I k-kinda feel tired." "Okay...." papa picks me up and take's me to my room, he places me on the bed "Arcene you shouldn't use magic so recklessly you might hurt yourself, get some rest we will talk later." I got out of bed and climbed out the window, I sat on the roof thinking about what happened today "Arcene? Where are you?" I slid down to my window "I'm right here." I jumped back in my room and hugged Nath.

"Hey..Arcene, do you regret what happened today?" "No, I just don't understand his father, has so much pride that he doesn't accept the fact that his son lost." "Well who would want their six year old son be the slave of a three year old." "I'm turning four in a month, so it doesn't count." I broke the hug and walked out the room "Come on Nath lets go practice." "Are you sure don't you need to rest!" "No, that was just an excuse..." "...Okay, but we have to get past everyone first."

We sneaked downstairs. Everyone was in the living room, my mother was healing up mason arm and my father was talking to mason father.

We sneaked in the dinning room and went to the door, I opened it and there was this man with golden hair blue eyes and panther ears and tails.

I snickered at the fact that he looked nothing like a panther "You rude child, how dare you snicker at me!" everyone looked at the us, I slammed the door closed.

"Open up! Peasants like you shouldn't close the door on royalty!" I opened the door and walked past the man, Nath followed behind me.

"Wait! Are you the one they call Arcene" I ignored him "Nath, can we go to your sister house, I'm kind of getting annoyed here" "Yea let's go" we walked to the trail that lead to the town.

"Hey, Don't ignore me!" I continue ignoring him, but for some reason he followed behind us, I grabbed Nath's hand and started running, we managed to somehow lose him.

We got to his sister house and I stayed there until the sunset "I'll be going home now, see you tomorrow" I ran in fours and got back home, but when I got there the Panther guy was still there inside my home talking to everyone, He looks over at me.

"Your finally back!" the panther man said in an excited tone "Why are you still here, it was obvious that I didn't want to talk to whoever you are." "My name is Kaito Takahashi, the first prince of the panther clan, I am here to take you as my wife." he gave me a bright smile it was almost blinding "How old are you?" "I am 15." "not interested..." I went to my room and fell asleep.

The next morning I decided not to pass from the stairs so I jumped out the window and went to Nath's sister house, I knocked on the door "Arcene what are you doing here?" "Is Nath at home?" "No he left about an hours ago." "I see, can I say here until it's for you to work?" "Yes come right in." she gave me breakfast and I eat, I found their stack o books and started reading them they were a lot of spell books, I would chant some of them in my head and it worked.

"Sis are you still here....Arcene! What are you doing here?" "Ah..um well you see..." I explained everything to him and he was a little shocked by it "Why does a 15 year old panther want to marry you!" "I don't know" "Come on lets go" "where are we going?" "To your house to explain to him that your mine."

My face turned red when I heard him say that. He dragged me all the way to my house, he opened the door and it seemed that everyone was panicking, I spoke loud enough so everyone can hear me "Why are you acting like I suddenly disappeared.....oh....wait I did disappear."
