36 Chapter 36: Meeting Pilux Again

During the bidding of the King of Peaches, Huang Fang and the rest raised the price for each peach to 50 yuan. Zhou Kun noticed that old Zhuang had wavered a little. 

However, he was stopped by the last bit of sanity in him. After all, it was a matter between making a year's worth of money and earning five years' worth of money. Old Zhuang decided to choose the latter. 

In addition to being an avenue for showing off, the King of Peaches was of great significance to the entire peach orchard, as it could directly raise the status of the whole orchard. Zhou Kun looked at Old Zhuang, who weighed 100 kilograms, being surrounded by the elderly ladies. He looked rather pitiful, weak, and helpless. Under Zhou Kun's persuasion, a group of elderly ladies decided to forget it. 

When they arrived, the luggage on the bus was empty. However, when they were heading home, they were stuffed to the brim. Old Zhuang sent the group of "Flowers of Jinlan" away happily. 

"Little Zhou, don't be in a hurry to leave later. Make a trip to my home." 

"Huh? What else do you want me to do, Auntie Huang?"

"Don't ask, just follow me," said Huang Fang who was behaving mysteriously. She refused to say another word. 

Zhou Kun followed old Madam Huang to a detached villa, only then did he realize that the old lady in front of him was that affluent. The prices of houses in Jinlan Residences were already extremely expensive. Zhou Kun reckoned that the villa probably had a sky-high price. 

The elderly lady led Zhou Kun through the house, all the way to the garden behind the villa. 

Poverty had limited Zhou Kun's imagination. He originally thought that there were probably some ponds, flowers, and plants in the garden of the villa, or perhaps a basement. Those were all the regular facilities of a villa.

However, he did not expect that the elderly lady had an underground cellar. Indeed, it was a large cellar that was surrounded by soil. 

Regardless of the high price of the villa, it was located in the northern area that was rather damp. How could the underground cellar be kept dry? 

Soon, Zhou Kun got an answer because he had heard the buzzing sounds of the dehumidifiers.

Old Madam Huang got inside the underground cellar nimbly and got up again with a Sprite bottle.

I've already started brewing some wine with the batch of grapes that I bought from you. Once it's ready, I'll give some to you. Actually, your grapes are of great quality. When I brew it previously, I discovered that they were obviously different from the grapes I used before." 

Zhou Kun looked at the Sprite bottle in old Madam Huang's hand and realized that it was the "Lafite" she had brewed before.

"This wine is good. It looks quite clear," Zhou Kun complimented against his will while looking at the wine through the bottle.

"I initially dared to boast about the quality of this batch of wine, but now that I've bought your grapes, I don't dare to boast about it anymore. The grape used to brew this wine is not too bad. It seems to be called light rose or something, but it still doesn't taste as good as your grapes, Little Zhou."

Zhou Kun knew that she was probably referring to the Sunlight Rose grapes. When the grapes were first released in the market the year before, the prices shot up to more than 80 yuan per 500 grams. Old Madam Huang was really generous. 

As such, Zhou Kun left Old Madam Huang's place gratefully with the Sprite bottle in hand. Before he left, she even gave him 1000 yuan to reward him for his hard work that day. 

After being busy for an entire day, Zhou Kun returned to the store and got ready to tabulate the wholesale orders for the day. 

Seeing that Zhou Kun had returned, Two Thousand leaped into his arms. Zhou Kun initially thought that Two Thousand was either hungry or simply wanted to go out to play. Eventually, he discovered that Two Thousand was targeting the bottle of wine in his hands. 

Zhou Kun immediately asked with suspicion, "Is this wine very special?"

Two Thousand tilted its head and pretended to be silly. However, the fact that it was drooling, gave its intentions away. 

Witnessing Two Thousand's behavior, Zhou Kun definitely knew the value of the wine. He reckoned that it must be another remarkable item of the other world. 

He put away the wine carefully to prevent the silly Two Thousand from stealing it. Zhou Kun wanted to wait until he went to the other world to ask Hughie if it was really something precious. If it was, he could sell it for some Dragon Crystals. After all, he did not have much money left. 

Regarding the matter about acquiring the manor, he felt that he'd better put it on the agenda as soon as possible. He had to replenish the stock for the grapes and dragon fruits in the cold storage as they had all been sold out. There were plenty of things that he had to do in the other world this time. 

The passage opened as expected, and Zhou Kun entered while carrying the Sprite bottle.

The moment Zhou Kun stepped into the passage. a wave of heat surged towards him. Zhou Kun looked around at the strange, jagged rocks. Finding it familiar, Zhou Kun knew that he was in Pilux's lair once again.

Zhou Kun was a little excited. If he could get another drop of Ambergris, the Dragon Crystals he could exchange it for would last him for a long time. 

Hence, Zhou Kun hugged the Sprite bottle in his arms agitatedly and walked along the path towards Pilux's lair. 

However, the sudden quaking of the dragon lair and the roar of the dragon told Zhou Kun that something was obviously happening in the lair ahead. 

He tried to make his footsteps as light as possible while he sneaked into the dragon's lair. What happened next in the lair stunned Zhou Kun.

There were actually three dragons in Pilux's lair. Apart from Pilux, there was a black dragon and a green dragon. Clearly, Pilux was against the other two. 

Zhou Kun knew that because he noticed that the scales on Pilux's body were no longer as clean and eye-catching as they used to be. Instead, some scales were missing, and it even had a few bleeding wounds. 

Its large body was sprawled on top of the pile of treasures, and it appeared rather feeble. 

"Pilux, you'd better stop struggling. Give up on retaliation and leave this place. Otherwise, you will only end up dying." 

"If I have to leave my treasures, it'll be no different from death. Cut the crap, you two cowardly sneak-attackers. One of us has to die today. It's either me or you two." 

Zhou Kun did not expect Pilux to be that stubborn. However, the two dragons opposite Pilux had obviously been angered by it. 

The battle between both parties began again. Previously, Pilux had gotten injured because of their sneak attacks. Now that it had been caught by the two of them once more, it clearly didn't have any chances of winning. 

Before Pilux could even attack, it sprawled again and was clearly at its last breath. 

"Things have already developed to this point. Pilux, are you going to continue persisting on?" 

"No one can make me leave this lair, let alone you two!"

"What's the point of putting on a brave front now? This lair will belong to us later. All of your treasures will also become ours." 

"Dream on!" After exclaiming, Pilux closed its eyes slowly again. It was unclear whether it had passed out or was resting and preparing for the battle. 

"What's the matter? Do you have a backer? Or is your savior this little adventurer?" 

While speaking, the green dragon looked at Zhou Kun with evil intentions. 

"Damn it, I've been discovered again."
