21 Chapter 21: The Silly Dog Gets Into Trouble

Zhou Kun lowered his head and looked over, only to see that the husky was looking around with its head raised. It seemed to be rather confused about where it was. 

"Why? Are you scared now? I'm telling you, you are on my turf now, so you'd better behave yourself." When Zhou Kun saw the husky behaving that way, he finally felt better.

To his surprise, the silly dog ran away before Zhou Kun could even calm down. 

"Don't run away. Hurry and come back!" Seeing that, Zhou Kun had no choice but to chase after the silly dog. After all, it was not a real husky. What would happen if it were to run to the crowds and start biting others? 

"Where did that silly dog run to?" Zhou Kun had never had a dog before, and he didn't know that the husky could run so fast either. In the blink of an eye, it vanished without a trace.

"Old Zhang, did you see a husky running over just now?"

"What?" 

"A dog. Did you see a dog with grayish-white fur running over?" 

"You're looking in the wrong direction. It has gone over there," Old Zhang said, pointing at an entirely different direction. 

"This damned dog can really run!" Zhou Kun exclaimed while chasing in the direction that Old Zhang was pointing at. 

As expected, he saw the silly dog standing on the ground and sticking its tongue out. However, Zhou Kun wondered why there was a person lying beside the silly dog. 

Zhou Kun frantically scurried over, only to see that there was an elderly lady lying on the ground beside the silly dog. 

Oh dear, this silly dog must have knocked into her. 

Previously, Zhou Kun had read some news about a husky knocking someone over and running away, after which the owner had to compensate the victim. He simply took it as a joke back then. He did not expect such a thing to happen to him. 

Staring at the elderly lady who was lying on the ground, Zhou Kun received a great shock and frantically called the ambulance. 

However, Zhou Kun's heart sank because the ambulance did not arrive even after waiting for a long time

Why is this elderly lady still unconscious? She couldn't have died because she had been knocked over by that silly dog, could she?

"Come with me onto the ambulance then." Before Zhou Kun could even say anything, he was pulled into the ambulance. 

The silly dog was not muddled up either. It leaped up and followed them into the ambulance. Initially, the medical staff wanted to chase it down the ambulance, but the dog's coquettish position made the people present get the goosebumps. 

"Is this your dog? Can you look after it well?" Seeing that they could not defeat the dog, the medical staff glared daggers at Zhou Kun. 

Zhou Kun was rather innocent. He had no choice but to bite the bullet and say to the husky, "You've gotten into trouble. You'd better hush and stay quiet."

The husky then seemed to have understood him as it tilted its head and lay beside Zhou Kun's feet. The group of people then headed to the hospital in the ambulance. 

When they arrived in the emergency rescue room, there was chaos everywhere, and Zhou Kun truthfully told them the process of everything that happened and proceeded to pay the fees at the window of the counter. He then sat by the bed and waited for the elderly lady to regain consciousness. 

Upon arriving at the hospital, the husky stopped its usual mischievous behavior and lay quietly at Zhou Kun's feet, but it did not attract many people's attention.

"Kid, did you save me?" It turned out that the old lady on the hospital bed had woken up. 

Upon hearing her words, Zhou Kun got a great shock because according to the development of the story, she should have immediately insisted that Zhou Kun's dog hit her. However, she didn't act according to what he had expected. 

"Madam, I'm really sorry for not taking care of my dog ​​and causing you to be knocked over by it."

"Didn't I faint from a heatstroke?" asked the elderly lady who was taken aback after hearing his words. 'What dog?' She wondered.

Zhou Kun was also stunned to hear her answer. Didn't the husky hit her?

Zhou Kun looked at the silly dog ​​lying at his feet and really wanted to give it a tight slap. 

The silly dog was staring at Zhou Kun helplessly as if to say, "Are you blaming me?" 

"Oh, is that so? This silly dog ran away previously, and when I found it, you were lying on the ground beside it. I thought it knocked you down."

"So this obedient little dog saved me?" the elderly lady asked while looking at the silly dog beside her benevolently. 

The silly dog ​​seemed to know that the old lady was giving it a compliment since it stood up and wagged its tail.

Zhou Kun was dumbfounded, and he wondered, 'Obedient dog?' 

"Mother, are you alright?" asked a middle-aged man who rushed to the hospital in a hurry.

"Thank you for saving my mother." The man was in his forties, and he seemed to be the son of the elderly lady. Before Zhou Kun could explain any further, the man held Zhou Kun's hand and thanked him profusely. 

"Don't mention it, previously I thought..."

"I've already heard it from the doctor. My mother fainted. Fortunately, you called the ambulance. Thank you so much." 

Zhou Kun initially prepared an explanation, but he could not use it at all. 

"Mother, the weather is so warm today. Why did you go out alone?" asked Ji Gaosheng who was frightened when he received a call and heard that his mother had been hospitalized. 

"I'm not senile. What's wrong with me going out alone to buy some groceries?" 

"Look, the weather is so warm today. Didn't something happen?" 

"What are you afraid of? I'm fine now, aren't I?" Seeing how unreasonable his mother was, Ji Gaosheng was at a loss for what to do. 

"Why is there a dog in the ward? Hurry and get it out of here..." Since he couldn't coax his mother, Ji Gaosheng could only vent his anger on the dog.

"Who allowed you to touch my obedient dog? Even if you leave, it can't leave. Who are you showing your prowess to in the ward?" The elderly lady was displeased at the instant that she heard that he wanted to chase the dog away.

"Well... okay, we won't chase it away." 

"Obedient dog, don't be afraid. With me around, no one can chase you away," Zhou Kun said while looking at the elderly lady. Those who did not know would think that the dog belonged to her. 

The silly dog was raising its head smugly. It looked up, and Zhou Kun began to get a headache. 

"Is Huang Fang's family still here?" the doctor called the elderly lady's name all of a sudden. Ji Gaosheng expressed assent and walked out of the door. 

Zhou Kun realized that there was nothing else for him to do in the ward, and he reckoned that the silly dog probably wouldn't leave with him soon. 

He touched his stomach and realized that it had been a long time since he ate anything after calculating the time he had spent in the other world. He had been feeling rather nervous and hence, didn't feel hungry. However, he was now famished. 

However, as soon as he walked out of the ward, he heard Ji Gaosheng getting into a conflict with the doctor. The content of the conflict made Zhou Kun stop in his tracks.
