Oscorp Building.

Norman was currently in a different laboratory than Dr. Connors and this because he was doing some experiments and personal projects that he preferred that no one else knew about them or at least people he could trust would not talk about them.

In principle, he was trying to find a way to be able to know the origins of the X Genome however despite his research he couldn't come to a conclusion, but well, if it was easy it wouldn't be fun.

Besides, he had time to think a little about his current state, he was a mutant, but how could he be sure that his teleportation was the result of that mutation, the answer is that he could not know.

At the moment he had no way of knowing what was going on, and it was because of that he was trying to decipher the origin of Gen X, as it would be easier to understand the behavior of the mutation, but unfortunately that action would take time.

At the same time he began to buy certain shares of the main newscasts of the country and the city, taking into account the capacity that the media had to lead the masses to a desired direction it was logical to take possession of them, although the process had to be done slowly so as not to raise suspicions or similar.

He just had to be prepared to control the media once the mutants appeared and besides with them in his hand he would have another kind of security, after all most people still faithfully believe in the media.

The sound of his cell phone ringing brought him out of his thoughts, so he quickly connected the call and began to pay attention to it, "How reliable is this information?" he asked seriously, so the other side answered quickly.

Minutes later Norman put the cell phone down and hung up the call, it really was a pleasant surprise, however, he preferred to stay on hold until it is something official.

'Nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine' thought Norman as he continued with his project, even if he wanted to tell Gwen and Connors he preferred to wait until it was official news and not just something that could be true or not.

'I wonder what kind of expression Gwen will put on her face if it ends up being true' was and thought that crossed Osborn's mind finding the idea somewhat amusing, but he soon shook his head and began to concentrate again on his work.

Norman was currently in his office while his personal projects could be considered of much greater importance, it was also true that managing Oscorp was a necessity.

After all most of his plans had to do with the reputation and economic and even political power that Oscorp had, otherwise his plans would not move forward or at least not as well as he hoped they would.

His gaze fell on a wall clock in the office as a thoughtful look appeared on his face: 'I hope you don't disappoint me kitty' thought Osborn.

He honestly didn't think Felicia would be so quick to decide to work for him, but it was something he could say he was grateful for, although sure Walter would be a pain in the ass for a while, but it's not like he could complain either after all the mission he gave her was simple and didn't involve any real danger.

Barbara Morse was about to enter the building that served as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base of operation in New York, after a little more than a week of surveillance of her target it was time to make her report.

Her steps were quick and easy as she walked through the corridors of the building, where people were constantly coming and going from one place to another.

When she reached the halfway point she met a blond haired man who seemed to be waiting for her: "You're late" he mentioned to her however that was not enough reason for her to stop her steps.

"Someone tried to rob me" Bobbi replied simply which elicited a somewhat suspicious look from the man: "It would be easy for you to cut down any thief" the man commented.

"Barton would you shut up" Bobbi requested curtly to which the now named Barton just shrugged his shoulders.

"You have to be careful this time" not caring too much about the woman's coldness Barton commented, "You cannot be confident just because he's a businessman, if that's all it was Fury wouldn't be so interested in him" he added as a bit of seriousness was noticeable in his tone.

In between their talk the couple arrived at an elevator which Bobbi quickly stepped into, "I can take care of myself" she told him before the doors closed.

"That doesn't take away from the fact that I care about you" were the words spoken by Barton even if they went unheard before he let out a sigh and headed elsewhere.

The scenery had changed once again and now Bobbi was in a some kind of office along with three other people, one of whom was a somewhat elderly man who appeared to be in the process of losing his hair. A blonde woman whose beauty could not be denied, but most prominent were her sharp eyes reminiscent of a predator.

The last person was an African American man with an eye patch along with an all black trench coat, altogether it gave a sense of mystery and a small hint of danger.

"So the only thing you managed to learn from him, is that he's a good father and an excellent boss?" the blonde asked however in her voice there was a small trace of irritation.

Bobbi just nodded before that question, "In the days I watched him there was absolutely nothing strange, in simple words you could say that Norman Osborn is an exemplary citizen" she explained the impressions her mission had left her of her target.

"What's going on with his close ones?" this time asked the man with a lack of hair.

However, the question only caused Bobbi to shake her head, "I have investigated all of them and there is nothing strange about any of them, you can see it in the reports" she commented as she began to give folders to each of the three people.

After a few minutes in silence as they read the contents of Bobbi's report, the man with the lack of hair began to speak, "It's too perfect" he commented.

"Coulson is right, besides I can understand most of his relationships, but Walter Hardy is just an ordinary person whose only accomplishment was marrying one of the best female lawyers in the country, but there is no direct connection to Osborn" the blonde woman spoke.

"What do you think sir?" Coulson asked the other man.

"Norman Osborn is a somewhat strange individual" he began to say, "He was involved in an accident that put him in a coma for eight months, once he woke up he disappeared for seven months, without us being able to locate him and while he was missing, he becomes the owner of a large portion of Stark Industries stock" he continued saying word after word clearly.

"Public opinion is starting to change, when before they were trying to bring him down now there is only praise on his behalf" although they didn't know exactly where he was going with his words the three remaining people were paying extremely close attention to the man.

"Finally, he gets involved in a terrorist attack and shortly after that A.I.M. was almost completely exterminated, why I don't know yet, but I don't think it's a coincidence" he finished by saying.

"Do you think Osborn had something to do with the Plum Island massacre?" asked Bobbi, as the idea seemed too fanciful to be true.

However, her question went unanswered, "Carol" called the man with an eye patch, "We need someone to infiltrate Oscorp" he ordered in a serious manner.

Carol shook her head: "He already knows Morse and Romanoff is on a more important mission and will not be contacted until next month and I doubt by your tone of voice that you want someone less experienced than the two of them" with equal seriousness she answered while the other two people only watched the exchange of words between them.

"Then find someone who can do it" were the man's words, "You are dismissed" he quickly added as he began to turn his attention back to the report Bobbi had delivered.

Without opposition the three people began to leave the scene, they were all busy people after all.

The moment the meeting was over Norman closed his computer, before getting up from his seat and heading to a somewhat separate place where he had a few bottles of alcohol along with some glasses.

When he poured himself some he simply walked back, but this time he walked to stand in front of the window that gave an excellent view of a part of the city.

'This world is too strange' thought Norman as he brought the glass to his lips.
