Norman was meditating in his bed, the moment he arrived at Osborn mansion he realized that Harry was already asleep, so there was no point in waking him up, so he simply rested a little after having a talk with Bernard.

The black-haired man just kept silent and with steady breathing, meditating was a daily matter for him and could be considered a hobby, even if it was something he learned from Ducard.

It was simply something that started as a necessity, but ended up being an enjoyment for Osborn.

Once he finished meditating Norman proceeded to put on a somewhat more presentable, but still a bit casual outfit, he was at home after all, so he didn't have to wear a suit at this point. A simple gray long sleeved shirt and white dress pants would do.

With nothing more to do the Osborn started to leave his room heading for the kitchen, it was almost time for breakfast, and it wouldn't hurt for him to show up a little early.

A few meters before reaching the kitchen Norman began to hear a soft music, it was a somewhat delicate rhythm, something similar to classical music, it was really pleasant to listen it, however, he wondered of its origin, as he knew that his chef never used music when he cooked, and it was unlikely that another one had been hired without him knowing about it.

With a little more speed Osborn reached the kitchen where the music was much more audible, what his eyes fell upon was a recognizable silhouette of a woman.

The long red hair of Mary Jane was the first thing he recognized, the young woman seemed to be concentrating on what the Osborn assumed was making several sandwiches.

The young red-haired woman was dressed in a simple long-sleeved green shirt similar to her eyes and to cover her lower body she had simple blue denim pants somewhat hugging her long legs, her last accessory was a black kitchen apron.

'She really is beautiful' thought Osborn as he watched the scene of a happy Mary Jane as she hummed the music playing from her cell phone, it was a scene that would cause more than one to smile and Norman was not an exception.

Norman simply watched Mary Jane for a bit before making his presence known with a greeting, "Miss Watson?" he asked.

The mentioned only turned slowly and looked at her boss looking at her with a bit of curiosity and amusement in his eyes: "Mr. Osborn, when did you arrive?" she asked with a soft smile hiding a bit of her embarrassment.

"Last night" replied Osborn: "It's strange that Bernard didn't notify you of that" continued Norman: "Yes it is" supported the redhead.

"Then can you tell me what you are doing?" questioned the Osborn curiously, although he already imagined the answer he would receive.

"Well" Mary Jane began to say, but seemed to pause for a moment, so she could think about the words she was going to say to Norman who was just waiting patiently for her answer, "Harry has been a bit down since you left for your trip" she began to explain, "So I thought a picnic might cheer him up a bit, of course I consulted with Bernard and because you couldn't be contacted in the end he agreed to my request" she finished by saying what had happened.

"So it is a picnic then" commented the Osborn with realization, after all his deduction was correct, although he did not expect Harold to be down about his departure.

Norman just stood for a moment thoughtfully and after a bit, rolled up his shirt sleeves a bit and proceeded to approach the redhead, "Come on, I'll help you finish the lunch before Harry wakes up and ruins the surprise" Osborn explained to her.

Mary Jane didn't seem to know how to respond for a few seconds, but when Norman's words were processed by her, she only showed a beaming smile and proceeded to look for another apron to later give it to Osborn.

In that way between chatter and laughter both adults began to make various foods and snacks, although in this case it seemed that Mary Jane was teaching Norman how to cook, even if only a little.

Both were so focused on their self-imposed task, that they never realized that Bernard had come to the kitchen, but seeing the scene starred by both of them he simply retired with a smile on his face, well Norman did notice his arrival, but gave it little importance, because if it had been something important he would certainly have been warned.

Norman was on his way to Central Park, the place Mary Jane had chosen as the destination for the picnic that would take place.

The eldest Osborn was driving one of his cars, somehow he had been convinced by the redhead to drive it and not need his driver.

As for the mastermind of the plan, she was next to him, in the passenger seat with a small smile on her face, chatting with a curious Harold through the rearview mirror.

The boy was practically asking a lot of questions about where they were going, the basket with the food was hidden, so there was no clue for him to deduce anything.

Mary Jane patiently answered all of Harry's questions with Norman giving an answer of his own every once in a while or giving his opinion when the redhead asked for it, that way the little group of three chatted happily with each other.

Once they arrived at the park it was easier for Harry to get an idea of what they were going to do, however, he didn't ask directly instead he just smiled and waited until Norman brought down the basket where they kept all the food and snacks among others that Mary Jane and Norman had made.

Norman just took the basket and started walking in the direction of where Mary Jane and Harold were waiting for him.

His son had his hand holding the redhead's hand, probably MJ's idea to prevent Harry from having the sudden idea of running off without one of them, the older Osborn only saw his son's free hand as he approached them.

It took him only a second to understand what he wanted and with his free hand he took Harold's hand as he gave a slight sigh, he shared a smile with MJ before the three of them started walking.

Most people who saw that scene just thought how cute the little family of three were.

For the moment the picnic had gone wonderfully and to the Osborn's luck it didn't look like the reporters were going to make an appearance, that was something he was thankful for as he didn't want to deal with them when he was on a day off.

Harry was playing with other children who were also at a picnic with their families, of course he had his eye on his son by way of caution.

"It really was a good idea" mentioned the Osborn to the redhead.

"I don't think it would have worked as well without your presence, after all Harry missed you" she answered him truthfully.

Norman just shook his head slightly, "By the way, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused this morning in the kitchen" he mentioned to her somewhat apologetically, he had been so confident, but he really couldn't help Watson too much except for making a few more sandwiches.

MJ quickly shook his head, "Not at all, I must admit it was a fun experience, plus the sandwiches you make are really delicious" she mentioned with amusement then moved on to sincerity.

"Not as much as your snacks" answered Osborn: "Well I have experience in the kitchen, as mom worked most of the time I didn't have time to make food, so to help her a little I started cooking for her and me, after a while it just became a natural thing" Mary Jane mentioned to him.

"You're a good daughter" Norman told her, "I try to be" Mary Jane replied with a smile and a few seconds later they both laughed discreetly.

"It seems the roles were reversed" the redhead pointed out and before Norman could answer both adults watched as Harry ran towards them.

"Dad!" exclaimed the boy without stopping running, Norman for his part only paid attention to his son: "There's going to be a father and son soccer match, could we participate?" he asked quickly.

Norman didn't take too long to answer: "Okay," he replied simply before he began to stand up and take his son's hand.

Mary Jane just looked at Norman's back for a few seconds before she started to follow the two Osborn's, if they were going to be the players then they would need a cheerleader.

What happened next was a complete victory for Norman and Harry against the other father and son pairs as they were cheered on by a very cheerful Mary Jane.

This time most people thought that the little group of three was a close-knit family and others had the thought that the couple, although very young really loved their son.

Night had fallen in New York and with it marked the end of the fun day the group of three had spent.

Currently, Osborn was taking Mary Jane home, usually a chauffeur was in charge of doing it, but for obvious reasons tonight that could not be the case and Osborn preferred to take her home instead of the redhead going off on her own.

Little Harry was asleep in his seat, the day's play had taken its toll on his body and as soon as they reached the car he fell into a deep sleep.

Forrest Hills was a quiet and safe neighborhood, besides being somewhat picturesque, Osborn could see the charm of living in such a place.

Calmly and in comfortable silence Osborn drove to the address of the residence that the redhead had given her beforehand.

After a few minutes he arrived at the destination and stopped the car, Mary Jane just relatively quietly unbuckled her seat belt, "Thank you so much Mr. Osborn for the ride" she thanked him.

Norman just shook his head as a sign that it was nothing: "I'll see you tomorrow" said MJ by way of farewell as she got out of the car: "See you tomorrow" mentioned the Osborn before the redhead got out of the car completely.

Norman just watched as Watson walked up to the door of her house and before entering the redhead turned around and greeted him with a smile and then walked through the door.

Once he saw MJ enter her home was that Norman started to move the car, now he needed to go to his.

'It was a fun day' thought the Osborn.
