The old man shock his head and said "There is no mission, nor I'm doing it off kind heart, this is some bet me and my friends, each choosing a candidate and giving some kind of advantage to him/ her to stand above the others."

"I'm just some person in your game? " Leonard couldn't believe what ad happening.

"Exactly!" laughing, the old man then turned serious and asked "Why? Don't you want this? If not I can send your soul to reincarnate the right way so you would forget everything from your past life. Then I'll wait another one to die and ask if he/ she want it."

Feeling for his memories, not knowing what happens if his memories are erased as the old man said it wouldn't be really him "No need to rush ourselves old man, could you please tell me more so I can be prepared, please" said him.

"I will give you some info, so I can win the bet if you die after the others chosen by my friends" pondering the old man continued "You will be sent to one of the worlds in the universe GCU X2A1, there are countless worlds, some bustling with life, other not so much, most without native life but were colonized.

"There are countless races and you can be of any of them, if you want. You will need just to survive long enough and that will be your new life. Any other question?"

Letting this info sink in here started to ponder 'So, I'll need to survive in a place I know nothing about maybe I can get some info about some planets to choose from' going with this idea he asked "What if I chose to remain human, what kind of planets could I get? I mean, what if the planet is controlled by another race and I'm a slave, wouldn't I die rather fast?"

Smiling the old man said "You will always start in a planet where your race has as its domain, but this problem of slave you could really find as human since you tend to slave yourselves without need. But I'll be a nice guy here, if you choose a human I'll let you in a nice planet where there is no human slaves, happy?"

Noticing that he could choose more things than what he first thought he decided to experiment things "So can I also choose if there is magic and mythical creatures or get a full explanation on the planet? "

"Preparing in full ahm?! Ok if you prefer there are planets where there is magic, and what you mean by mythical creatures are just another race in the universe." Said the old man

"But what is magic? Why don't we have on Earth? If I choose some place where there is magic, will I be weakened in a place without it? " curious Leonard asked a lot of questions.

"There is planet CP2593 also known as Planet Athlom, they use a system to measure power is the quality of spells/skills, you can learn 30 level 0 spell you will be na apprentice until you learn a level 1 spell. The power in each level is incomparable with the previous.

"The planet is peaceful with other planet near with life that could be a threat, this also makes them not that into battles, so most is the magics and skills learned are for hunting animals and other non intelligent creatures.

"There is planet CP9748 also known as Planet Grumdun, they use a system of star, this one makes you get your skills/ spells of start 1, but to get to start 2 you need to be able to strengthen them to be more practical and learn a star 2 spell and so.

"This planet has a few others planets near where there is some tension, there could be a war between planets in few years or could be in a dozen, all depends of their leaders greed.

"Last bit not least, there is planet CP1665 also known as Planet Frontier, they measure power with numbers, if you don't get pass the cut of the spell you won't be able to try to use the spell/ skill, for example if a spell requirement is 300 of power you won't be able to use it effectively with 200, also there could be a backlash.

"This planet has a history of war, both with other planets as well as inside, with some kingdoms trying to ally with other planet to conquer their enemies in the planet Frontier. This could lead to other races to invade their home planet but their hate between themselves won't let them see that.
