20 Rashim city

That old lady's death was sad but the second reason of distress behind is not figuring out who the two evil men were and which people are associated with them.

Narrowing it down, it means that he has to take the other option towards this investigation. Which will both take longer and is harder to do.

And that is, taking Stephans suggestion and go to Rashim city to search for a Corbelli familiar. Meeting one of Selia's family members will help shed truth of what happened 50 years ago.

That's the best option, the other one is to stay here and wait for another one of Selia's killing sprees.

There is one issue of taking Stephan's way though and Delion wants to clear it out now. "You need to stay here and try to stop Selia as long as you can."

"No, I'm coming with you!" Chief Ambers insists, not liking the idea of separating with this fine man again.

Trying to use logic towards the lady instead of yelling, Delion interjects. "That's a bad idea, if we both go then there will be nothing stopping Selia from killing everyone."

"And how am I supposed to stop her? I... well I'm terrified of ghosts." The truth is certain, she is a large powerful lady but her fear was proven several times up until this point.

Wanting the lady to feel comfortable and self depended, the detective recites. "And Selia is scared of you and Jimmy, she hasn't attacked you even once yet."

Using the quarter of silence to add further thoughts towards this, Delion reaches up to grab the lady's shoulder and then with a tone sweeter than he ever uttered, he cites. "You're the only one I can trust here, protect this town so I can uncover the truth."

Dragging the shorter man in for a hug, Ambers murmurs. "Be back here as soon as you can."

...

Gazing at the graveyard in front of him, midday's sun unleashing it's weak november rays on skin and fur, Jimmy sitting near him, the detective gives the bobcat a few pets and hears him purr.

"What are you looking for? Teach me how to detectivate... or whatever." Ambers questions, most definitely puzzled of what this man is trying to do.

Fairly observant and even remembering everything to the most possible detail, the detective deciphers. "I'm looking for names, what Stephan and Nicholina said doesn't add up. If it happened 50 years ago then stephen wouldn't have a foot in the grave."

Most definitely not sure what he means by that, but perhaps understanding another perspective, Ambers asks. "And how will the graveyard help?"

Smirking, the shorter detective answers. "We can uncover who is lying. Do you know Stephan's last name?"

"Stambolieva." Ambers answers shortly with an attempt to not lose the point.

Walking around the graveyard, seeking names although understanding that the chances of people being able to buy gravestones 50 years ago was even slimmer.

Again, he hears the hard trying Ambers ask yet another question. "So who do you think is lying?"

Having patience and enjoying her will to learn, Delion slowly speaks. "I think Stephan's lying to us, or at least not revealing the whole truth. If we prove that the rest of his family is buried here then he is innocent."

Using common logic, understanding the rate of reasoning based on two examples, Ambers adds. "And if he's innocent, then Nicholina isn't."

Having the urge to kiss her for being smart for once but not wanting to do it where they can get caught, instead he gives a question. "Exactly, but I'm not finding anything here. Can gravestones be stolen? Or taken somewhere else? Buried out of the village maybe?"

When it comes to her village, she is well informed about most topics and therefore explaining. "People used to be buried out of the village before, but the spots are random and don't have gravestones so there is no way to tell."

"Well then this leaves me no options, I have to find out the truth in Rashim city. Try to keep this village safe, Stephan especially." Trying to lift up the mood, he asks for another favour. "Will you walk me out of the village?"

Well at least that way these two can get a bit of privacy, kiss and whatever else they would want to do in this blistering cold.

The journey to Rashim city is long, 40 kilometers away and he wants to take it on foot.

With a night's worth of camping, he should be there a little while after sunset.

Regardless of the troubling november cold that comes with this travel, it doesn't mean that this good willed detective, shouldn't have a warm start.

...

Reaching the city on the next day, the first thing he hits is the local tavern, carrying a big backpack with him even.

Took some asking around to find a tavern in a city he has never been before but it's crucial to find it, since this is where a lot of information can be found out.

Banter spreads in taverns, ale helps loosen the heart and chirp out burdens. Here, the more than capable detective, can use his coins to buy information.

Coins he has many, reason behind it, working for royalty. They indeed do pay handsomely, although you don't see this man having a villa.

Yet he has to fit in, so buying a bottle of ale can help mend with these drunkards, he doesn't need unnecessary attention although the usual clean and expensive clothes he wears, most definitely will beg to differ.

Paying for a bottle, he takes just a little sip to warm the breezed down soul that was attached to him due to this journey.

Just a little sip at first and the rest of them faked for the sake of focusing on his surroundings. The atmosphere here being warmer, helps focus since stiffness is being shunned away.

Suddenly, he spots a big figure sitting near him and speaking out without a mumble, "You come here often?"
