5 Calm Jenny

Delion has gone along with Ambers to her house, there only are two victims so far and the kills were rather clean.

All they know is that someone or something has chocked the two men to death, as for who did it, it is almost impossible to figure out since the killer is long gone without a trace.

On Ambers' house however, where they will have a bit of time to trace the steps and think of possible killers, think of people who have the capabilities or means to cause such a silent kill.

"Would you like some black tea?" Chief Ambers offered, sure Delion will be paid later on but it doesn't mean that she can't offer warm refreshments.

"If it isn't troubling." He spoke, barely noticing himself that he spoke actually since he is deep in thinking of how and who could be doing this.

Without saying a word, Ambers just gave a half smile and filled a cup with a small portion of black tea first and afterwards added boiling water on it. "It is a little bit harsh, I've ran out of honey recently so I can't offer a sweetener."

"I never put sweeteners on my tea but thanks." He expresses surprisingly being kind worded. Perhaps he doesn't know how to be a man of attitude when his thoughts are full?

However when retracing the steps, one thing they could reach at, is both cases having no eye witnesses and the victims not having any known enemies.

Which makes it difficult because it rules out every possibility of a murderer in between these people.

So considering these facts, even though they've spent all day thinking, night reached and they aren't even remotely close to finding out who killed those innocent souls.

But Delion does plan to ask the neighbours about some information tomorrow, regarding the death and if someone saw anything worth noting before the tragedies.

Before they are about to go to sleep here, Delion took his time to ask a question. "What do you plan to do with the murderer?"

"He will be killed of course, murder here is an unforgivable crime. If we let these deaths escape unpunished, families can get in war and I would be attacked eventually as well." Chief Ambers for sure has a deep point of view here, it is clear that she spent at least a while thinking this through.

"How do you assume the murder is a he?" Delion queries, feeling curious and getting some suspicion that she actually knows something.

"Men usually do the killing right?" She decided to mention a painful yet stereotypical facts.

"That is true, but the scene at Daril's house didn't look like a man's work. We have to squeeze in as much information as possible out of the neighbours tomorrow." Delion specified word by word, and dropped suspicion on Ambers by a quarter.

Only by a quarter though, at such a case everyone is a suspect.

...

"My mother died there Chief Ambers." A 27 year old girl pointed at a bed, she's named Jenny and the woman that died last night is her mother, Tedrima.

"Do you know how and why it could have happened, do you think it could be due to misses Tedrima's age? She was about... 71 I think?" Chief Ambers asks calmly, one because she wants Jenny to remain calm and two because calmness equals to better information.

"Yes, I think that might be it. She has been sick for about 3 weeks now... or was it 4?" She started the sentence with a mild tone and ended it murmuring with herself, hand on her chin.

"Have you heard any weird sounds, signs of struggle?" Delion immediately puzzles as he glanced upon the corpse from a distance of a foot.

"No, I just woke up and found her dead here. I yelled for her name about 7 times but when she didn't answer I went in her room and found her dead." Jenny specified, while in the meantime Ambers is getting suspicious by the passing second because Tedrima's husband isn't here.

Delion glanced upon the corpse, and slipped his hand under her neck a little bit to check something out.

The same little hole is to be found here on the bed near her neck, as if someone forcefully pushed her neck downwards.

"Do you have someone to look over you, a guardian?" Delion battered around the bush so Jenny can be tricked into telling information she might have hid if he yelled at her.

"Yes... well at the same time no. My mother and father got in an argument over a week ago, he rushed out of the house and my mother cried for a day straight." Upon revealing this fact, both Ambers and Delion made Tedrima's husband as a prime suspect.

"Do you know where we can find your father?" Delion asked directly, knowing that the main piece of information comes out of him and that Jenny is practically outsourced now.

Calm and collective, Jenny butchers. "I don't know but in the past three arguments he mentioned about being at some sort of hunter's spot, some guy named Jingo?"

Now Delion has become the most suspicious about her calmness, he will keep her in mind as a suspect although Jenny sounds like she has died emotionally a long time ago.

But first, he wants to ask for permission on something. "Can I move the corpse to analyse the bed?"

The bed here can show him a lot of information and if it is anything like Staril's bed than they might be getting somewhere here.

Although Delion would find it confusing here considering that Tedrima is a lady, it can rule sexual attacks out.

"Of course, but please be gentle." Jenny answers, wanting to arrange a proper funeral for her mother.
