1 CH1: The boy into the Bat

Matt Flock, a normal 17 year old boy, was reading a web novel in his middle-class house. He lived on his own as his parents left home one day and never came back.

He was reading the page slowly, making sure he swallowed the information or the page properly. He was reading it and when he finished it he then went out of his room to get a snack.

Matt sneaked downstairs, as to not alert the neighbours. He opened the fridge and saw a popsicle. He looked at it and grabbed it.

The second he did that, THE SECOND, a sound could be heard through the sky. It woke up his neighbours, but it was after the sound the tragedy happened.

In his house, his hair stood up and acted as if it had a mind of its own. Sadly he couldn't realise it and the light descended upon his house.

It went through its house and strait to Matt, even though it was just one second, he felt his body burning. For him it lasted hours.

Then it was nothing. Matt was confused and looked around, but all he could see was darkness. Then he tried to move his hand, but he couldn't. He was more confused at this moment then ever in his entire life.

Then he remembered. He died! He didn't know where he was though. All he knew was that he was in darkness. He then thought back if he knew anything like this place. He remembered in some web novels, before reincarnation in another world they will be in a place like this. But he knew web novels were fake... Right?

At that moment he could see something. It was dark, but it was still something! He saw... a door? He looked around and realised he was now in a room.

The room had stone walls, stone floor and overgrown moss. There was a large door in the middle of the wall the was facing the north, or south, or east, or west. He honestly couldn't tell.

He then realised... He reincarnated! He was ecstatic as he read many web novels were the main character of the novel was reincarnated as a creature, evolving till you are more or less stronger than most humans!

He was not sure yet though, so he had to do only one thing and one thing only!

He looked at his race, a dungeon bat. Now he knows he in a dungeon. Next, he looked at his stats.

"Oh! I have free skill points"

He looked at them and thought for a moment. Just for a second. Then decided to put 2 in strength and 1 in Agility.

He made these decisions because,

1. Strength means you can actually hold your own

2. Who needs endurance when you can't get hit?

He confirmed this and looked at everything else. He then thought this was reasonable. He looked at the door then flew towards it. He looked at it then his arms.

"I hope a can push it"

His wish became true! He could open it, despite its size, it was as light a feather!

He pushed it and looked ahead. A large misty corridor, in the mist a shadow could be seen. It looked like a shelled creature. The shelled creatures jaw was snapping open and close.

The mist cleared up. Showing a turtle like beast, this time looking a little stronger than Matt.

He gulped and fought it.

The turtle like beast looked at the bat and instantly decided to fight it, Matt decided to use sonar screech to deafen it.

SCREECH

He shouted at a ear demolishing pitch, the turtle seemed distraught, screaming and stomping everywhere. After this, Matt flew down scratched at it. He then remembered it had a shell! But it was to late, he scratched the shell.

He inwardly cursed then went for another strike, this time it was successful. The creature shouted even louder, it shouts resonated throughout the hall.

It almost made him deaf!

As Matt was angry he decided to finish it. He swooped down up to eye level of the turtle then bit it's face, killing it instantly.

At the end of the fight Matt received 5 notifications.

He looked at all of them than the last and then said

"Why not"

He put 3 into endurance, rest into stamina

He changed his mind from before, he wanted to not be an all rounder. He wanted to be perfect in all stats, a jack of all trades per say.

He looked in front of him with determination and flew forward through the door
