50 Trouble

Days turn to weeks and weeks turn into months with the passage of time becoming faster as the students started their academic life. By now five months have passed and Sagar continued doing his daily routine based on whatever classes he had during that specific day. If he wasn't doing anything he would either put extra time into training or go out and hang out with his friends.

Besides Talia, Umbra, and Klaus he didn't really make any other friends yet but that was mainly from him keeping to himself and others being intimidated by the people that he hung out with. The ones who had witnessed his match against Klaus on the first day of testing didn't really spread out the word about it but just based on the people he hung around people made assumptions about his strength.

As for the three other individuals well Talia and Klaus have had their reputations for quite some time now especially among the nobles in the academy. Ever since Talia had attended a gathering of the other noble children and showed off what she could do at the time people have been wary of her. For the ones who personally faced off against her and felt the power she was able to admit they felt fear from Talia. Rarely anyone fights against her voluntarily most of the time they just happened to get unlucky and have to take a bit of a beating.

Talia herself was an easy going person unless you angered her to a degree, for example calling the 'Disintegrating Princess', which was a name she didn't like. Nobody knew why because most people felt that it imposing and gave her person a lot of weight. If you were to ask Talia she will simple say that it makes her sound like a violent person, which she wasn't. Sagar would be inclined to agree but whenever Talia fought the nickname sort of stuck.

This wasn't the case with Klaus though if you couldn't keep up with him then you could only pray that he wouldn't hurt you too badly. Klaus' reputation stemmed from a similar place as Talia's except even after participating in the gathering his feats continued building up. It's known that he constantly goes on expeditions with a minimum amount of guards to go out hunting for beasts and the fact that most of the beasts he brought back were something that people of his level should fear is a testament to his strength.

Most people assume all he has on his mind is fighting and really their not too off the mark as he was the biggest battle maniac Sagar has seen, but he also is quite reasonable as well. Unless fighting is brought up in the conversation it's almost like he wasn't one of the most feared people within the new students.

As for Umbra well even the nobles and people with high status didn't know too much about her. As far as they knew there hasn't really been any sort of public feats that she has accomplished and any sort of spar she participates in shows that she was relatively strong. Really all people had to go off of was that she was part of the royal family and that she was friends with other strong individuals.

Over this past five months Sagar had mainly been focusing on increasing his magic skills but he sometimes did work on his strength. When he asked the system to show him his stats his strength was at 33, his agility jumped to 28, his magic broke through to 32 while his vitality was at 36. Overall he was pretty satisfied with the amount of power he's gained so far. Whenever his magic broke through the thirties he could show that he was at the Expert rank rather than being at the Intermediate level. When he discussed it with the other three Klaus wanted to fight him then and there since they were of similar levels now but he was settled down by the other three with Sagar also promising a fight at a later time.

Other than that Sagar also tried his hand at trying to learn unique magic elements that he had either found out about through his class or found out about while looking through the library. He wouldn't say that he's got a complete handle on any of the elements to make good use of them but he at least knew some of their properties in case he did have to fight with such a user.

During this time he's also learned a great deal more about using the other explosive spells that he had picked up from the Drak residence. He felt that he couldn't really get much better at using 'Explosive Maneuver' at the moment and was quite comfortable with using the martial arts, the only thing he didn't know whether or not he had made any sort of progress in was the self-detonation technique that he thought was insane. He's used the initial startup to the technique but has never set it off before in case something bad might happen.

As for his other techniques that he's used before, such as the point-blank 'Explosive Cone', he was now much more adept at using them and was confidant of using them at a consistent non-lethal level.

His saber use has improved because of the 'Weapon Mastery I' class along with Instructor Ian's lessons over them. The entire group even got to get one on ones with Ian during one of their lessons in which everyone was promptly beaten. Ian's use of the saber was at a high level where if you showed some flaws in your use of the weapon he would instantly use it to his advantage. Afterword he went over all of the our mistakes one by one with him pointing out that we shouldn't feel too bad about losing so badly. He was only able to accomplish this feat based on his knowledge of the weapon and its ins and outs, but he did also remind that it was still important to improve on these aspects as depending on the opponent they might not even be proficient in the weapon you're using to find it's flaws.

All of the other classes were pretty routine and nobody in Sagar's group really struggled with them so they didn't need to put much focus on those classes. Umbra on the other hand needed some help not with her regular classes but with some of the things that the principal assigned her to do. Some of it was of a decently high level that needed understanding in some concepts that they hadn't gone over yet. For these assignments the entire group would meet up in the library to try and figure everything out. If anything this helped them with anything in their other classes as they already had an understanding of it before it was taught to them.

Sagar now was getting down with one of his basic classes and was going to make his way over to the library to go over some things before he felt a fluctuation of energy coming from his bag. This was the communication crystal that Umbra had handed over to Talia and him and the trio used often to gather together to hang out. When Klaus found out about it he also wanted one but was told by Umbra that she didn't have anymore but he wasn't really disappointed by it saying that he would just keep his ears open instead. The group thought he was joking a bit until one time when they gathered and not even five minutes after meeting up Klaus showed up. When asked about it apparently he meant it quite literally whenever he said he would keep his ears open, it just depends on where he's at at the time.

Anyway whipping out the crystal Sagar saw that it was flashing in a way that hasn't been used over the past five months. The pattern it was blinking in was one that indicated that someone was in some kind of trouble. Even though there was no way to communicate where they are specifically, over these past months they figured out that as long as the crystals were within a couple of kilometers of each other you could track them.

Focusing his energy on the crystal Sagar was able to tell where the other two were and made his way quickly to the other one.
