5 Soma Drop

Sagar started to panic for a second but realizing that won't help him in the least he focused to see what the problem was. Looking within himself he saw that in the congregation of internal energy a clear pea sized bead was formed. Some of the energy that was contained in it was leaking out and was interacting with his internal energy. The two were grating on each other and this seemed to be were the quaking was occurring. Sagar didn't think he could do anything to help the interaction between the two and he continued to watch in dismay.

Not long after the golden streaks that were within his internal energy started glowing and a change occurred between the two energies. They stopped roughly pressing against each other and the mana seemed to let the internal energy wrap around it even allowing it to get touch the core. The mana seeing that nothing bad happened returned back into the bead letting the internal energy completely surround the mana core. After all these events the quaking inside his body ceased and everything went back to before Sagar formed the core.

Seeing this Sagar wiped some sweat that was forming on his head and breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad that everything worked out even if the ending looked like something bad was going to happen. Sadly while he would like to try out casting spells he didn't know any at the moment all he could do was practice manipulating his mana.

[User], the system then started calling out to Sagar.

'Hm, what is it system?', Sagar thought it was a bit weird for the system to take the initiative to speak to him. Other than the first time it spoke it would always be him that would start the conversation.

[You have fulfilled a requirement for a hidden achievement so you need to accept your reward.], the system then stopped communicating to him.

Sagar was curious about what the reward would be considering that he did complete an achievement and it's even the first time. In the corner of his retina he noticed that there was something blinking so he tried to activate it.

[Congratulations to User for his achievement. User has accomplished what those on his world would be considered almost impossible for this you shall receive a soma drop.], the voice that spoke was different from the usual one and seemed to be a automated response more than anything.

Receiving the some drop Sagar was a bit skeptical about the actual reward. While the soma drop was precious, as it was able to fully restore him to top condition even if he was on the brink of death and had exhausted all of his energy, he didn't think it matched up to what he accomplished.

He raised his question to the system and it responded, [User is currently too weak to make good use of anything else that could be given. The User could only be given an item that was thought to be of equal value.]

Thinking of another question Sagar asked, 'So would the reward change if I don't open it and wait till I get stronger to get a different reward?'

[User is wrong in that aspect, once the reward is given it won't be changed]

Well it wasn't like he was too disappointed about being given a soma drop because who knows what sort of situations might occur in the future. Continuing on his thoughts his gaze eventually landed on the house where his mother was currently still sleeping.

Focusing his sight Sagar questioned the system, 'Would this soma drop be able to cure mom of her injuries?'

[Yes the soma drop is able to accomplish this but because she's so injured along with the amount of time she's been in that condition it'll take an unspecified amount of time.]

Sagar tightened his fists and told himself, "That's fine as long as she gets better it doesn't matter to me how much time it takes."

He even considered the implications of his actions as by giving his mother the soma drop he'll be left without anything to save him if he encounters something dangerous. Sagar was fully willing to accept the consequences of such a thing but not only because of his own determination. He was also confidant that as long as he puts in the work he'll be able to face anything that heads his way and it's not like this'll be the only soma drop he'll be able to get as there are some in the shop as well, it's just that they'll more expensive than most other things.

Today happened to be the day when his mother had to take her medicine so Sagar thought to put the soma drop in it as he wouldn't just give his mother the drop to her face since it would raise questions about how he managed to get such a thing. He also didn't think the medicine would be able to affect such a miraculous object as the soma drop but he confirmed with the system just to be sure.

Now all he had to do was wait for lunch time to come around so that he may be able to do as he planned. For now though he might as well preoccupy himself with other things such as his stats which he promptly asked the system to present to him.

Looking at them he saw that his magic increased to four, which was a bit higher than he originally expected but what shocked him was that his other stats increased as well. During the past month he had just been focusing on forming his core he didn't really train himself at all in that time but his strength increased to five while his agility and vitality increased to four matching his magic.

'System did the interaction between my mana and internal energy help boost each of their aspects?', he quickly asked.

Sagar then went to the rock he lifted when he first tested to see how strong he became when he first used internal energy. Now he was able to put it over his head with some effort and he was able to hold it up for almost a minute before he put back down as he was straining himself a bit.

He figured that he was at the level an actual novice would be at if he trained in either internal energy or mana which was quite a feat considering his age currently and that he had not yet trained his body either. He was overjoyed at this little occurrence that happened as maybe he could figure out a way for both the energies to continue their mutual relationship to help boost his power even more.

Now all he needed to do was figure out some regiment to follow to train his body, internal energy, mana, magic and techniques. Putting that all in order Sagar realized that he had a lot more to do than he originally thought. Well it wasn't like he was upset about it, if anything he thought it was just the price he needed to pay to make use of such great power.

He was honestly quite excited about it as well I mean who wouldn't want to use magic in any kind of form or be able to use devastating techniques that could level mountains. He still took into account all the trouble that might come with such trouble but he wasn't one who would be afraid to face challenges if anything he welcomed them.

"Sagar sweetie, are you outside? Why don't you come inside and relax you've been practicing hard lately you deserve some rest.", Beatrice called out to her son from inside the house.

He agreed with his mother and decided he would postpone the continuing of his training till tomorrow so he could spend the day with her instead.
